Hardware Compatibility / Keyboards: What keyboards can run macros with the XIM4?

Most keyboards seem to require additional software to execute macros, even though they claim to have "onboard storage".  Well storing the macros onboard is useless unless they can be completely executed without the software.

So I'm just wondering who out there has a keyboard capable of running macros with their XIM4, and what keyboard do you have?

Hardware Compatibility / iPhone X will not talk to XIM4

As the title says, I cannot get my iPhone X to ever pair up with my XIM4 via XIM Manager.  I have the latest version of XIM Manager, but I still have to use my iPhone 7 to connect to it.  It's not a deal breaker yet, but I won't always have the 7 so at that point it will be.  Both phones are running iOS 11 for what it's worth.

Anyone else having issues connecting to their XIM4 with an iPhone X?

Technical Support / [Q/A] Is it possible to change the ST for any given config?

I'm trying to find a Smart Translator that works best for the Rainbow Six Siege beta, and I was wondering if there was a way I can change the ST on the fly like I can all the other settings, but I can't seem to find it.

If it is not possible to swap the ST, is there a technical limitation that prevents it?  Or is it simply something that hasn't been looked into or prioritized?

Beta / Is it possible to downgrade firmware?

Ever since updating from v0619 to the v1006 fw, my keyboard and/or mouse will sometimes (often) not be recognized when first plugged into the XIM4.  The only fix I've found is to remove/reconnect power to the XIM4 with the m/kb already connected.

At this time I do not have a KVM switch, so I manually disconnect the m/kb from my PC and plug them in when I want to switch over to the Xbox One.  Before updating, I never encountered this issue one time.  However, I immediately encountered it after updating.

It seems to happen about 1 out of 3 tries where either the keyboard or the mouse will not light up when plugged into the XIM4.

Is it possible to downgrade back to the v0619 fw?  I know some devices cannot go backwards, so I want to find out before I brick my XIM4.

Mouse: Logitech G500
Keyboard: Corsair K95

XIM 3 Discussions / Finally got the XIM3 dialed in for MW3

I'm a little late to MW3, so I'm sure everyone has their XIM3 already fine tuned by now, but just in case anyone is having issues finding the sweet spot for their XIM3 for MW3, I'm posting my settings.  Everyone plays differently, so who knows if it will help, but it certainly can't hurt!

I use a Logitech G500 at 5700 DPI and 1000 Hz polling rate.  Here are my MW3 settings:

Translator: Smart Advanced
Game: CoD:MW3.1
Sensitivity: 29.00
Acceleration: 0.75
Y-X Ratio: 1.00
Smoothness: 0
Boost: 0

(I use the same settings for Secondary Mouse as well).

The trick for me personally was adding 0.75 acceleration.  Once I did that, it felt 1:1 for me.  This thing is awesome.

PlayStation / XIM3 on Killzone 3?

I was hoping by now one of the more experienced people with XIM would have found a setup that works for KZ3 but I haven't seen anything posted yet. 

It seems to me that the Halo Smart Translators work best for it, but they're obviously not perfect.  If anyone out there is using something that is perfect --or close to it-- please post it!

Hardware Compatibility / USB switch causes yellow screen

Just like the thread title says I get a yellow screen on my XIM3 when I switch between my PC and my Xbox.  It will happen every 4 or 5 times I switch, so often in fact I'm contemplating not using a switch at all. 

It's a pain in the @#$% to have to unplug everything and re-plug in order to clear it, which is the point of having the switch in the first place.  If I don't unplug everything from the switch and the XIM it will not recognize any USB devices no matter how many times I reset it.

Anyone else having this issue?

Penguin United Eagle Eye Converter Review

Use a keyboard and mouse on your PS3...sort of.

I'm not sure if anyone saw this already but I thought it was pretty funny.  I also put a comment on the story to help spread the word a little bit.

Hopefully someone sends an XIM3 off to IGN to review so that they see there is good hardware in this segment too!

XIM 3 Discussions / Extra buttons on the mouse (ex. Logitech G500)

Hi all.  I've been lurking this site for over a year now but decided to register today (new site looks fantastic by the way).  I'm definitely excited about the XIM3, but I have a question I haven't seen answered anywhere yet (maybe it has been but I just missed it).

Will the XIM3 have the ability to make use of those extra buttons we find on most mice today?  When using my PC for gaming, I have the thumb buttons on my G500 programmed for different things (reload, melee, and grenades usually).  Also, while I'm thinking of it, what about switching weapons via the scroll wheel?

It's not a deal breaker for me either way, but my anticipation would be even higher if all these functions can be utilized.
