I was bored, so I photoshopped the xim3 inside of a razer mamba box. 

Two things I just had to comment on. That idea of it in the mamba case is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!! In fact I will not rest until I discover a word that is 10 times more awesome then AWESOME thus is more fitting for the description of that case.


And second. Jacob if we didn't talk about sex dolls, having sex with computers, mentally challenged kids trying to lick their elbows, etc. then nothing would ever really be releavant. Cool your jets homefry you suck!

(Ps. I got nothing against mentally challenged kids. They're people too and they can stick up for themselves they don't need other people having pitty for them)

Oh man this is an awesome idea! I brought this up on another thread and it completely died but thats ok.

That Track IR 5 could be used for right analog. The head movement tracking for looking around. Then some other Track IR 5 deal that watches the legs. The stand still position would be feet shoulder width apart. The walking forward position would be one foot half step forward. sprint would be one foot big step forward.

Crouch and prone would be a little more difficult. Crouch could be done by actually crouching but who wants to crouch for long periods of time(I guess it could cut down on camping . Prone could be dropping to your knees.

Aiming reticule would be obviously with your hands.  The other part as in voice commands would be for the misc. like reload. Grenade you could do my motion. Melee you could do by motion. For squad based tactical games the other voice commands could be to your squad. "Flank to the right" "Rush to cover" stuff like that. The technology I think would be best to look at in the Track IR5. I saw a video of the xyz axis that they used to get that thing to work and it looks right up your alley Obsiv. Ofcourse you'll develop your own deal but I think its very doable.

of course my post was childish and immature. Arguments whether rational or irrational are always childish and immature in some way. Its just on every forum I've ever been on be it XIM airsoft hauntedattractions you get these guys that haven't even been invested in the idea for more than a day and they are already complaining about what is wrong with everything.  All I'm saying is, if the 4 ms is THAT much of a big deal to these guys. Than may I ask them to politely go BLEEP themselves and buy something else(I wanted to stay consistent with my childish and immature remarks

I have been plagued, as many others have I'm sure, by the fact that I am awesome with m/kb and suck ROYALY with analog. ALL of my friends play console and I'm stuck on a pc that is outdated and to expensive for me to fix. One day I stumble SOMEHOW across this thing called an XIM2 and I took a chance and bought it. At first I'll admit I was EXTREMELY hesitant about this purchase and rightly so because when i got the @#$% thing it took me a day to figure out what the hell it was I was doing wrong. The exact moment after I got it all worked out and played that first match of COD on an XBOX with a m/kb I can't tell you the happiness that washed over me.


SO. When I hear these douchbags complaining about 4 ms on a machine that literally saved me from stress over school work and family, I get a little pissed off childish and IMMATURE!

Ok first lets get this out of the way. You guys that hijacked this thread to talk about 4 BLEEP ms are way out of line. You wanna talk about 4 ms start your own BLEEP thread(the bleeped out words are all caps).

Second toys has cleared up the 4 ms issue over and over and over. STOP BLEEP WHINING ABOUT IT! I've played COD for 7 years now and that is about the same experience time for most of the people on here. If you say that 4 ms makes any difference between life and death you have your head so far up your own @#$% that its rediculous. I've played with the XIM2 for a few months now and its amazing and you know what, the 4 ms DOESN'T MAKE ANY BLEEP DIFFERENCE.

Third and most important. Do you think it would be more beneficial overtime for Obsiv to setup a merchant account to process credit and debit cards. The profit loss may be less than that compared to paypal. and possibly more secure for everyone in consideration?

(ps. apparently if you all caps f-ing than it doenst bleep it out).

I've been insane just watching the paint dry and crack on the walls behind my computer screen too but I haven't stopped playing my games just to save myself for some hunky hunk. No I'm going to bed every dirty little*(clears throat). Play every single one of my games until XIM3 comes out. Then I will play every single one of my games with an XIM3 instead of an XIM2.

Ok. Three things. First Zyren Whoa buddy cool your jets its just a question and I'm looking out for the community I'm in no way against it. Second I like Od1n's idea of world domination. Obsiv probably has the XIM3 that controls the rest of them. WAIT! What if he himself is an XIM prototype that is "building" these awesome gadgets to win over our hearts, trust, and money to fund a machine global domination!!!!! Naw thatd be crazy! hmmm

And Xenon thanks for the answer that was exactly what I was looking for.

XIM 3 Discussions / Growth of XIM

So its 6 months from now, the second batch and possibly the third batch have been produced and sold to all of the eager fans waiting for their nice piece of @#$%(i couldn't think of a cool way to make @#$% and acronym). Anyways all of the minute bugs that may have arisen have been worked out and a patch tweak or two later the XIM3 is fully funcitonal and available to the world that knows about it. What happens then? We keep posting games we want to have a smart translator for? We keep telling eachother how awesome it is? We wait for you(Obsiv) to start a development blog on XIM4?

I guess what I'm asking is Whats the growth plan for this idea turned business? I'm probably not alone when I say that I have become fond of this website, the product, the people on the forums, and Obsiv. I want good things to happen for all concerning XIM. But if theres no growth then there is only death. The idea would die off as people moved on to the newer idea. I want more from Obsiv. I want more marketting to the masses. I want more competition. I want all pc players to convert to console as I have and experience the larger community of console gamers thanks to Obsiv and XIM.



Oh and I also want a freakin XIM3! 



Just spittin ideas out. Maybe you can develop your own fully functional actually working Kinect that is compatible with all games. Somehow translate set motions from the body that the Kinect will interpret send it through and XIM4 and translate it into button control and analog movement for lets say the Newest Call of Duty that is being developed by Sledghammer right now or GOW4. Theres and idea now grow with it.

I know that the PS3 is not natively supported by XIM3 so spare me and yourself all that "negative feedback".

Is it possible to plug in the XIM3 to the PS3 and then plug in the kb/m to the XIM3, like it will be on the xbox360?
Or do I have to use an adapter somewhere in between? If thats the case then how should the adapter:

-1 to flyphil76. Completely useless comment. He asked a perfectly understandable question which too applies to myself. I too have a ps3 and would find it comforting knowing I can take my awesome new extension of my own flesh(XIM3) and use with my ps3. I don't always play the xbox.

I think the videos are edited very well, the narration is clear and concise, and every is clearly viewable. The only improvement(lack of a better word) I guess you could make is idk some cheesy instructional video music. No thats stupid. The videos were surprisingly well made. Thanks donskii

I haven't been here long but I am here often just reading. Seeing if toys has update his config for black ops. Checkin on the XIM3 status and such. I'm not sure if I am considered active and I don't care. I got XIM2 I love it. It really needs to be put out into the market more for people like me who can't afford and frankly don't want to continue in PC gaming and want to join their friends on the console arena. Since I got XIM2 my brother and I have been "competing" in gamebattles. We are doing pretty good only one loss so far because I didn't spell my gamertag right on the first match. Anyways back on track when I get the chance to buy XIM3 you bet your @#$% I'm going to but I'm in no rush for it to happen. I'll take it as I get it.
