Support / Re: Xim apex white light

Welcome to the community. A white light indicates a crash caused by an attached device or corrupt configs. If you still see a white light when starting APEX with nothing attached to it then a factory reset using the latest flash tool is needed. You can find the latest firmware below. Please read the instructions on the download page.

Are you holding the P button before you attach it to the PC? It must be held before and while connecting XIM4 to the PC. Release P only when XIM is solid blue.

I'm glad the wired keyboard helped. About turning, it looks like you're reaching the game turn speed limit. Console games have a maximum speed that they allow you to turn. This max turn speed will vary between games and is a limit set by the game developer. XIM flashes red lights when you've reached the turn speed limit. If you continue moving faster than what the game allows then that movement is ignored and you may see less movement as a result. By either lowering your sensitivity or moving your mouse slower to stay under or ride the turn speed limit should result in more onscreen movement.

APEX supports controller chat using slim controller types only. If your headset works without XIM it should work with XIM as well when using this controller type.

Welcome to the community and thank you for the report. Are you playing on PS4? If so APEX supports controller chat when using slim controller types only.

Welcome to the community. They are using an APEX, they pushed APEX into the port.

About your issue, do you have your console communication method set to USB instead of bluetooth?

Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method

Disregard this post. I had no idea how hard I had to push the adapter in. It went in with a solid click, and turned lights on, and registered to the app, and all seemed well, but it wasn't until I went to unplug it, that I barely touched it, and the lights flickered, so I help the PS4 down, and really pushed that thing in there, and it worked. I am all set. Thank you in advance

That's really interesting. Thank you for sharing and updating your thread.

yes i went back to the original update before this last one. So now if I play fortnite i wont get kicked because Sony made them switch it?

I'm not caught up on it personally but that is what I took away from what Antithesis said.

Thanks for clarifying. If the hub alone with nothing connected to it is causing APEX to power fault and this does not happen when using another hub or using a direct connection with the controller then yes, the hub should be replaced. If you purchased from xim.tech/shop in the last year please open an RMA using your store account:

Thanks for confirming. The G500 is also prone to cable shorts over time due to wear, this can also cause stability issues like the one you're experiencing. Do you have another mouse to test? Any other mouse would be helpful.
