Interesting read about "stepping up effort for pc games"... from Microsoft Game Studios.

I want Halo Reach and Halo 3 for PC, but I guess that's never gonna happen.

I haven't done research but deadrising 2 just came out for pc, wasn't that published by ms? It runs on GFWL.
It's a Capcom game.

They might really have a problem with the xim. It's gonna take all pc gamers from pc. And they don't want that.
MS hasn't released a game for the PC in over 3 years, so I don't think they care about PC gamers any more.

If you guys also game on the PC, I'd not use a switch.

@#$%, after watching that last beta video posted I kind of want that G500 and Razor Lycosa now  :-\

I need a job to afford this stuff!
Might as well want the new Blackwidow as it costs the same and is mechanical.

Also, open question.  Can we use an XIM2 as the XIM3 wired controller.  I don't have any wired controllers other than the XIM2 atm.

I think it's been said a few times that you can, and I believe OBsIV even stated that some of the beta testers were using the XIM2 software/profiles on PC and then routing it through the XIM3 for the smart translators (but don't quote me on that)
Actually OBsIV said the beta testers were only using XIM2 as controller hooked up to XIM3, but not connected to the PC.

You can PM ShippingGuy and see if he's willing to mark it as gift under $50 to avoid custom taxes.

XIM 2 Discussions / How often should you recalibrate?
« on: 11:48 PM - 10/01/10 »
I've heard that moving the right analog stick on the controller would slightly throw off the calibration, and eventually you'd need to recalibrate.  Is this true?

It's fixed.  ShippingGuy told me that the rubber pad insdie might be out of its grove, so I opened the controller up, and it turned out he's right.  This saved me the hassle of sending my Xim2 back and waiting for a replacement. :)

OK, just PM'ed him.

Got my Xim2 today, everything works fine except that buttons A and B on the controller does not work at all, i.e, nothing happens when pressing these buttons.  Is this normal?

Not sure about the fragfx nunchuck, but the Mamba is HID compliant so it should work.  Charging the battery through XIM3 requires extra power so a power adapter may be needed , but you can always use wired mode.

if microsoft wanted it gone it will be gone. right now because there are so few of us i dont think microsoft cares. but that could change with xim3. if it becomes overly successful then it could spell doom. remember microsoft is still in the pc gaming market. i dont think fps pc gaming developers will appreciate taking their customer away from them. that is if it becomes that popular to get their attention.

Are there any PC exclusive FPS developers left? If I was an FPS publisher I wouldn't mind PC gamers switching to consoles. Developing for a bunch of different hardware is probably not too cheap. You can sell overpriced DLC for little content and you don't have to contend with Mods and TCs. PC gamers also tend to stick to games much longer than on consoles which means publishers have a harder time pushing new content. One thing I'm not sure about is which is harder and costlier to support with patches and anti-cheating measures, consoles or PCs?

I only game on the consoles for the few exclusives like Halo, Killzone.  PC is and will always be my number one gaming platform.  Games almost always look so much better on the PC, and with Nvidia 3D Vision Surround they look even better.  Also, with dedicated servers, there's absolutely no downtime between matches, so an hour spent online is an hour spent playing.  God knows how many hours I wasted waiting at the lobby for 8 vs 8's in Halo.   There's just no freaking way that I'm ever gonna switch to consoles.

XIM 3 Discussions / Re: Razor Lycosa. Could be a problem?
« on: 08:32 PM - 09/21/10 »
Uhhg. I hate that lycosa mirror though. What a terrible keyboard. Key's get slippery. So light that it slides around everywhere when your gaming..  Arrow keys sink below the keyboard making it hard to slide your fingers off to hit another key. Touch pad media controls /back lit controls suck balls.
I actually like the mirror edition more, except the cleaing part.  I had the regular Lycosa for a week, didn't like the feel of the rubber keys so I returned it and got the mirror one.  I don't find the keys slipery at all, in fact, they tend to get sticky when I game as I tend to sweat.  Anyways, I'll be getting a Black Widow Ultimate when it's released to repalce the Lycosa  I'm just so sick of cleaning the thing after each gaming section.
