General Discussion / Re: Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

It isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I guess reading all the bad stuff here I thought it would be unworkable.

The only caveat is the controller acceleration. That is what throws me off, i.e. when moving the mouse and the controller acceleration kicks in moving the mouse too rapidly. IT can be real bad sometimes, but not too bad that it takes away from the game. Maybe I will have a second opinion after I play this game online.

Btw, what are your in-game settings for the controller? I have everything maxed out at ten and it feels reasonably good.

been playing for a few hours.....not bad...its starting to grow on me....

XIM works OK...much better then RB6 but not even close to cod4
Do you have a good config  yet? Thanks.

Yep, it's today. Too tired to take this game for a test drive, but hopefully by tomorrow there will be a bunch of configs for this game ;D.

Anyway, hopefully I will be seeing you all online -- at least on my side and not on the other.

Yep I am in. Look forward to seeing how this one handles. Will post once I get something good going after the beta is in full force. God bless.

This is coming soon, just a place holder. I am going to tear this game a new one and it WILL work yes it will.
Go on and beat that game up! And yes, it will recognize ;)

Anyway, I look forward to your config. It should be well worth the wait. God bless.

Could you repost the file? Thanks.

Yup!  A couple of weeks ago, I discovered that the i-con adapter seems to allow XIM on PS3.  I've since learned a couple of other wierd things.  It seems that in the configuration files, the LeftStick is actually R3 and the RightStick is L3.  Also, some games seem to need a higher than usual deadzone setting and lower than usual sensitivity.  This seems to vary from game to game.

Anyway, JediMaster requested a good config for RFOM, so here's what I've been using (I got the game recently).  If anyone can improve on this, I welcome it greatly.  And please excuse the weird button config; I use a ZFang keyboard.

Wow, much has happened here in my absence, lol.

So far the only ps2/ps3 adapter that works is the i-con. I used the pelican adapter, which can be found at any EB/Gamestop, and it did not work at all. But after hearing that the i-con seems to be compatible, I had to try it myself. And it works -- though I have not tried it extensively yet.

Will update whenever I get a chance. Have a good one all.
