Yes, we will be releasing a list of BT adapters that you will need to buy to participate in the XIM4E Beta. It is used for all configuration (which is wireless only for XIM4). These adapters are cheap -- usually around $10.
I have all the xims since gen 1 and never regret or even think about the price.

I know everyone is anxious for this and so are we. We are working very hard to get this out. Given the size of the Beta, it needs to be very high quality. That's what we are driving towards.
there are two big reasons for the xim edge beta
1) to give the community an option to play with mouse and keyboard until xim4 is released
this kind of calms down everyone as playing with a controller just isnt our cup of tea
the release of xim4 will still take some time and that way people dont get upset for the long waiting time
2) to test out the new features of the xim4 and how they are accepted among the community
you know a big part of the xim customers never update their xim at all after purchase
that means the gold firmware must be as perfect as it can be
the beta should help to erase problems in terms of understanding, handling and bugs in general
maybe even add some new ideas for features
Come out just tell us what BT4 adapter works so I can go buy it already!
This is kind of bugging me as well. The beta is due to be out next week. I don't understand why we haven't heard which type of BT adapters work. If they are still testing different types that is great........just tell us which ones they know work.
Some people will have to order one as they may not have a store nearby that carries them. I don't understand why this is such a big secret. It's going to be frustrating if I have to order one and wait another 5 days for it to come in.Not that I would have any choice tho.......lol.
Yep. seems like they are having fun with the Alpha and dont want to share... We should have gotten this info by now.
