There is a reason why i created a curve with a linear line that has increased acceleration towards the right side of the box. This is a potential fix. Every time they update this game the aim acceration for each gun changes for some odd reason. You yourself using a xim can fix this problem..

You should provide evidence, cause my measurements say otherwise.

Seeing as how you're on Xbox, It's possible that this is an issue on the PS4 only.

You can easily test it without precise measurements. Use the standard linear curve. Pick a spot in the game and place your crosshairs on it. Place your mouse on the left most edge of your mousepad (making sure your crosshairs remain on the spot you chose), now move your mouse horizontally to the right to a certain distance. Now move your mouse back to the left most edge on your mousepad and you'll notice that the in-game crosshairs did not return to the same spot you started from, it comes up short. Are the players in the game right handed? If the weapon is on the right side of the screen then more of the field of view is obscured on that side, same thing for up/down... down is obscured, up is wide open.

Reminds me of an old Battlefield where it was said input was fully linear start to finish, no smoothing at all, but the game gave an illusion of gradual acceleration by tilting the weapon more and more the further you got into a turn. Sounds like there could be more science like that in Rainbow Six Siege because of this left/right "problem".

It's more likely to be a bug as the game has had issues before with acceleration. It also doesn't help that the game isn't very polished in the way that every time they add a new season DLC they introduce a lot of new bugs to the game.

For those of you who play Rainbow 6 Siege please head over to http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1658466-Please-allow-us-to-adjust-disable-Aim-Smoothing-(acceleration)-for-controller-users and give your support to get an option to adjust/disable acceleration added for the game. It would not only mean a big boost in performance for Xim users but also potentially fix a bug that's currently in the game as described in http://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=49741.0

I've noticed this issue as well (PS4). Turning to the right doesn't have the same acceleration as turning to the left (it's slower).


Ok, if this happens when using a controller too, then this sounds like a bug in the game.

It looks like it happens at maximum turn speed (i.e. when the stick is pegged). One thing to try is to use a curve to prevent hitting that maximum turn speed. This would a curve that is normal (diagonal) but goes horizontal towards the end. This will prevent the stick from pegging and tell you if that's actually the problem.

Tried that, didn't work. I also tried increasing the in-game deadzone to 25 (and adjusting the boost setting in the ST to match) and the result was the same.

Yes, it needs to be updated. I wouldn't be surprised if another ST works better than Siege's at the moment. In terms of how turning feels at least. Give BF4 a shot to compare.

Yeah that's what I'm currently using along with some changes in ballistics, it's not great but it will do for now.

I just played a custom game with the new patch and it seems they really did fix the stuttering. I'm using a Logitech G900 @12k DPI and I tried low sensitivity (<10) and high sensitivity (>35) and I'm unable to detect stuttering (PS4).

The current ST does need to be updated as it feels like the medium to high turns/swipes are not 1:1, in other words the acceleration feels off (Xim3 term), or translation exponent (Xim2 term).

In the Update 3.2 Patch Notes (dropping on June 1st for consoles) the following is mentioned: FIXED Players are experiencing a controller stuttering when slowly moving the RS button in a direction.

I have never experienced stuttering that bad even before the patch, but as I mentioned before I'm on PS4, Jandeboi seems to be on Xbone. Perhaps someone with an Xbone can chime in.

Did they fix the settings revert issue? Does micro movement feel off?

They seem to have fixed that issue (settings reverting). I'm not noticing the stutter effect too much but then again it feels like with the current ST that the acceleration seems a bit off. This is on PS4 btw (custom match with v-sync disabled).

Then the community would donate and the rest of people who buy a XIM3 would not be made to show their gratitude.

People shouldn't be 'made' to show their gratitude, it's up to the individual her/him-self to decide that. Just take a look at your poll results, not everyone feels the same.

Just have the admin put up a donate button and let the people themselves decide how much they want to donate in general or for each smart translation.

USB polling rate, the rate/frequency at which your USB ports "poll" a device.
