Tap strafe is not possible on consoles as far as I know. It is possible on PC version of the game even if you're using a controller, but on consoles its missing a mechanic called "lurch" which is only present in the PC version of the game.

Hand rest is injection molded plastic. And yes, I really like it. Was using a logitech G13 before but this is way better.
