Played my first game with all these settings (used 4 smoothing on both hip and ads). One my first game with 12 kills which I think is my highest ever. Great settings!

Are you using any boost/smoothing on the HIP/ADS? Thanks!

18
Curious as to what your settings are.

I got it to work last night after closing the app and unplugging the XIM.

Tried 12k/250Hz and I was 7/7 in game. Still felt a little jittery so I might drop it to 7/6. I still want some AA.
Are you using a hard mousepad or a cloth mousepad? Add 2-5 smoothing to your config and the jitters should disappear. I use a hard Logitech mousepad.
I am using a cloth pad. Maybe I should look into a hard pad instead.

I'll try that tonight what you mentioned. Thanks for all your help! I've been using XIM since 2009 on and off but never thought about Hz and how it can affect gameplay/aiming.

EDIT: Ordering the G440 of Amazon now. I assume that's the same one you are using.

That definitely seems to the case. Yesterday I tried 5 for ADS and I noticed my aim was turning with the player without me moving the mouse. Trying on 7 I didn't notice this happen so I am going to try 6 tonight.

So I tried this setup tonight but it feels real jittery to me.

7/5 in game. Should I be using 7/6 or 7/6 with a lower XIM Apex sense?

One thing I noticed however is in the XIM app it's saying "Your mouse USB report rate is less than XIM Apex's response rate."

I ensured the XIM response rate is also 250Hz so not sure why I am seeing this message.

Going to switch to 250Hz tonight. I assumed 1000Hz was preferred. I never knew that Hz impacted movement speed I thought it was just how many times a second the mouse movement was updated.
And you're right. Polling rate doesn't affect movement speed. It affects how responsive the right analog function (aka the mouse) is. 1000hz does exactly what it's supposed to. Your report rate is 1ms. Your able to move your crosshair as swift as lightening. So swift to the point where you cut through all of your aim assist and give your enemy the advantage if you use a high dpi. If you're using 3200 dpi do not switch to 250 hz. You may be setting yourself up for failure. But, if you are using 12k or 16k then it may do you some good.
Ah ok that makes sense. My Logitech mouse allows me to store more than one DPI. I currently have it setup for 3500 and 12k so I will make a duplicate Apex XIM profile tonight and try those settings tonight.

The only thing I can't switch on the fly is the polling rate. I have to connect to a PC and switch it back.

12k/250Hz is what I'll try tonight.

EDIT: Is is preferred to use 7/7 in game or something else when running 250Hz/12k DPI?

There are a few threads on this already so you should just look there instead of starting a new one.

I'm running 3500 DPI but I think I am just going to try lowering the ADS to 5 and see if that helps. On 7 I don't notice any AA and it's barely working for me on 6.

I switched from the HV to classic curve and readjusted my hip and ads sens and I'm getting a lot more kills. I would still like to have faster close quarters sens but if I move it any higher my med/long range suffers. Maybe some sort of boost would help me?

Settings as of tonight with my highest kill games.

Mouse
3500DPI
1000Hz

XIM
Hip - 17.50
ADS - 7.4
No smoothing and no curves

7/6
Classic curve
Aim deadzone small
FOV 90

biggest thing I noticed was changing in game sensitivity to 7 ads 6 the aim assist kicks in.4000 mouse 1000 polling rate xim apex sensitivity 19hip 14.50 ads I leave it on default I use this on bop4 and get average kill 35.

I like 7,7
7,6 is too sticky for me

I tried 7/6 and it's definitely more sticky but I seem to do better with that when doing micro movements. Is there still no solution to fix the micro movement? Wondering if smoothing ADS will help.

I tried using none for aim deadzone but my reticle starts wondering by itself.

3500DPI 1000Hz
7/6 in game HV curve

Stick to the classic curve man.

I'll try that tonight. Thanks!

I'm currently on the exact same settings as you. The look deadzone to none makes micro aiming a lot easier.

3200 dpi
1k polling
Default sync
32/32 sensitivity
Ingame 7/6
Look deadzone - none
Fov - max

Ads is slightly slower with the 6 in game but it's barely noticeable.

Thanks!

I would love to fix the micro aiming that I am having problems with.

When I turn the look deadzone to non the reticle wonders all over the place.

3500 DPI 1000Hz 7/7 in game HV curve 1.0 HIP and .5 ADS FOV 90

Could be the HV curve maybe? Probably going to play with ADS smoothing and reducing in game ADS to 6 instead of 7 and then up the XIM ADS sens first.
