Basically when the AA algorithm kicks in and tries to make it a smoother experience by mimicking analogue movement

Yes to obfuscate digital detection. SAB doesn't officially helps to increase Aim Assist, I don't know where people start to think like that but it doesn't, and if it does might be completely anecdotal experience. Only True Analog does in a very noticeable extent, and lowering DPI and Hz will add more strength than increasing SAB.

It unofficially increases AA then. Thatís more inline with the explanation above.

Wow confusing. I still don't know whether it is or not.

SAB does not effect the strength of AA

SAB effects the behaviour of AA

Basically when the AA algorithm kicks in and tries to make it a smoother experience by mimicking analogue movement

So which direction should I go. Up or down with SAB to have the best experience with aim assist. Or controller like aim assist.

Hey try this for FN. I got it from PersiFN

Max 200 SAB in your ADS config and 0-15 for HIP. Seems to help me a lot with my ADS firing.

Are you serious 200?

19
Ok quick question. If I want the strongest aim assist using SAB. Do I go above 100 and make sure I'm below 125 or go 0 SAB?

This is for fortnite.

Barring mouse specific mouse settings and sensitivity.

Within my XIM configurations what is the best setting to have the strongest aim assist?

SAB currently at 100.
Smoothing about between 4-7

I dont care about the difficulty in getting out of the aim assist bubble. I want to simple lock on.

I use the latest beta.

1000DPI
500HZ
Common sync
80 HIP with 2 smoothing
70 ADS with 3 smoothing
No SAB, Boost, Steady aim

In game ADS: 1,0
In game sniper sens: 0.85
Build speed: 1,4 - 1,5

This conf. gives you a very strong aim assist, i never miss a shot, especially with the shotgun

Here is mine currently which was recommended above by alan.

2000DPI (on mouse)
500HZ (XIM) not mouse, is that the same with yours?
Common sync
80 HIP with 2 smoothing (Similar)
70 ADS with 3 smoothing (similar)
No SAB, Boost, Steady aim (when you say no SAB, you have it at 0? I don't use boost or steady aim as well)

I'd like to try those settings that you mentioned but would like to know the answers above.

Thanks!

I'm not a Anti-Aim Assist Justice Warrior XD, every one can use their stuff as they pleased :)

I'm used to closer PC feeling because I play on PC and aim assist mess my muscle memory.

However, 8 months ago I burnt my right hand badly I couldn't use it properly neither aim so I switch to my left hand.

I am ambidextrous, born southpaw forced to be right-handed my teachers tight my left hand on elementary school, yep because being lefty was a devil thing, no kidding.

Anyways, I was rusty with my left hand and I use that setup I suggest worked pretty well.

To tell you the truth i want aim assist because I noticed my 12 year old son playing with his controller and the aim assist freaking helps out so much.

I'm not saying that I can't aim, but I don't think my aim is better than the aim assist that is for console. I did try these settings and I can say, I was point on without thinking twice. I feel like i'm more competitive against the aim assist folks with a controller.

I meant XIM response rate(RR) to 500Hz response rate.

If your XIM RR is 500Hz and your mouse 1000Hz, doesn't matter still works at 500Hz, but is advisable to use the same polling rate (mouse Hz) and response rate (XIM Hz).

From 1000Hz to 500Hz.

1000Hz delivers better aim performance, 1:1 tracking more like PC, in some games with very annoying AA bubble helps to cut-through it.

But you are going to different route, you want a crutch I mean help.

Well in that case lower Hz tends to anchor better the aim assist, like the muddy feeling of XIM4 (125Hz) gave.

Going for AA 500Hz is pretty good, I mean is way faster than 125Hz, better than 250Hz (console default), your mouse will be more stable at that polling rate and less jitter.

So if you play other games, and you are the XIM user who wants nice tracking, aim performance and a decent AA, I will say 500Hz makes more sense. If you prefer very low to no AA then 1000Hz high DPI is the way to go to get closer PC feeling.

Ok so I should switch back to 1000hz on my mouse and change my XIM to 500hz. Yes I prefer the "help" for aim assist :)

I know you said that I should try to match it but if it doesn't matter then I rather keep my mouse at 1000 and then turn down my XIM. This way I don't have to keep switching.

Does this make sense?

On another note, you mentioned 2000 dpi. I went with that as well so I guess it's fine as is? I shouldn't go to a very high DPI?

23
Play on Common, at 500Hz, use 2000 DPI in your mouse and go for an analog stick for movement.

I'm curious, when you said change to 500hz, you are saying change that on the XIM? Or the Mouse?

I thought mouse so I made another setting for in-memory mouse to have both 1000hz and 500hz. So I toggle between the two but it's a pain to keep toggling one over the other...

Can you confirm this?

24
Ok stupid question between 500 or 1000, why would you typically use one over the other? I mean is there a preferred? Right or wrong?

I would like to understand it overall.

I don't want to keep switching back and forth my XIM Apex when I play one game and then play another game. This is so confusing.

25
Ok a couple questions. I made the mouse setting G502, polling rate of 500 hz

On the XIM setting I have it at 1000 hz.

Fix this, you are setting wrong your XIM.

Your XIM response rate shouldn't never be higher than your mouse polling rate. Read the warning.

XIM Apex Response Rate > Mouse Polling Rate

Mouse Polling Rate >= XIM Apex Response Rate

OK in my XIM I changed it to 500hz. I'll give this a try. I thought that the mouse must be 500hz or greater. In other words, if I had mouse at 1000hz and xim at 500hz then it's a problem. Not the other way around.

HIP
Common Setting
Smooth 4
SAB 100

ADS

Smooth 5
SAB 100

I think this is ok but do you see anything else I should tweak?

XIM APEX Discussions / XIM Videos - Suggestions
« on: 06:40 PM - 11/26/18 »
So the videos I have commented in YT that they are the best. To say the least...

Now I don't want to consider myself to be truly layman sometimes it's hard for me to understand why I would use for example, "Steady Aim, Boost, etc." because I can't really tell whether I need to or not. The videos does a great job in explaining these options but I would like to really see in real game the actual cause and the effect by turning on these options and why it was built to have these options.

An example video that does a great job (not saying the rest of the videos are not) is a video about finding your sensitivity through tracking. The video explains exactly "in-game" how to track to a point in a game and what exactly to do and then what to adjust exactly to achieve the proper result.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs0sH4rfGRc

This is just a suggestion because although I understand what it does when I watch the video, I really would like to see how this or what scenario we would use this option.

29
Do I really need to toggle this for BO4?

In other words is it required? If so, what setting should I be using? I was doing fine before this new update setting but I do want to take advantage of it if there is an advantage.

For Fortnite, I haven't tried yet but for BO4, I'm not sure.

Beta / Re: XIM APEX BETA [Firmware 20181019] (**LATEST**)
« on: 09:28 AM - 10/20/18 »
For what it's worth, I did revert back to the original gold version (the one that was kicking everyone). Definitely fixed so I can confirm that 100% it's no longer kicking.

I guess the question I have between the original and the 20181019 version. Would it suffice to say it's better than the gold version or is there a slight advantage/disadvantage between the two? Obviously, there is the "anti-kick, future proof fix" with 20181019. Would this replace the original gold version? Or will it be a choice since there is a slight difference.

I can't tell for the life of me between the two but I wish it was just simply black and white and not a gray area. :)
