XIM APEX Discussions / Re: Was in Vegas

Friday and the extra 25 dollars... @#$% everyone still being upset on here?

Not upset, just not sure why you would start a topic about what stage your package is at in the delivery process.  I can assure you that you're the only one that cares where it's at.  That's not me trying to be mean, it's the truth.

XIM APEX Discussions / Re: pubg keybinding
« on: 03:55 PM - 03/05/18 »
There aren't enough controller buttons to perform all of PUBG's functions, so a lot of buttons have to share.  You can use a secondary binding as someone else said, that way you don't confuse yourself.  Leaning is the real fun one though to bind though, since lean and sprint functions occupy the same button on the controller -- which I bound to Shift -- but then I end up pressing that to hold my breath and end up leaning instead.

Nothing you can really do about it.

If you're new to PC gaming in general, it's going to take awhile. It also depends what game you’re playing as well.  A game like PUBG for example is a pretty unforgiving game, so you might not want to start there. You might want to get some practice in on another game that lets you run and gun a lot more (aka die and respawn) until you get the feel of the controls down. Learning the mouse will come pretty easily, it's the keyboard that will take the most getting used to.  More specifically, muscle memory is the issue. Knowing what keys to press is only half the battle. Being able to press all the keys needed without thinking in a split second situation is another thing altogether.

I just wanted to say not to give up because it will be frustrating to know you could have easily done whatever it is with a controller and instead you died/missed the jump/whatever. Just keep practicing.

XIM APEX Discussions / Re: No sales today or maybe?
« on: 09:13 AM - 03/04/18 »
Today is “last round”?  As in, last part of initial batch and then *actually* sold out?  Or am I reading that wrong...

I used Distill web monitor to check for changes before the first launch. Sends you an email or can even send a text if you set it up.

Another Distill user here.  There are literally dozens of us.

Just delete threads like these.  Completely pointless and do nothing except spread negativity and toxicity around.  Absolutely zero reason for a thread like this to stay on the forums.

I mean I'm not sitting here crying myself to sleep...it's just a disappointment that's all and people deserve to vent their frustrations when this happens, not get ridiculed and called toxic because they are upset. It's not just the fact that they couldn't get one, it's the idea that other people were able to order it when you did everything possible to get one and you simply couldn't because of something out of your control. Time does heal, but so does talking out your problems. Sure call out the people who make posts titled " I'm going to kill my self and it's your fault," but don't hate on the people who simply just want to empathize with someone in the same boat as them.

I know, I know.  You missed out on the unannounced early pre-order, so now you might have to wait 2 whole days to order like everyone else.  What a “massive failure” indeed.  It’s going to be ok though, I promise.  Your life will go on.  Somehow.

XIM APEX Discussions / Re: Xim apex order cancellation
« on: 06:41 PM - 03/01/18 »
My billing and shipping addresses didn’t match on either of my last two orders (XIM3 and XIM4), so that’s odd. Hopefully the XIM guys can get it fixed and sent out quickly, especially since you already ordered before the store closed and were charged on top of that.

There can’t be *that* many sales to Moore, SC to a guy named Chris, can there?  Should be a pretty easy order to track down.

Would be hilarious if his order was delayed for some reason...

ok so due to power loss this should be the cable you should get http://amzn.to/2t8r8EH

it is a 6.5 and is gold plated.

Active cables are essentially 1 port USB hubs. You can use a regular USB cable in conjunction with an active cable as long as the regular cable is not more than 5 meters (16 feet and 5 inches) long for 2.0 devices and not more than 3 meters (9 feet and 10 inches) long for 3.0 devices.

Gold plated is silly and completely useless for USB.  There’s no need to buy a special cable for this.  Just what you got, it’ll work.

more tutorials will follow soon, let me know what you guys would like to see!

Great video, thanks for sharing.  Do you have to do this for each game?  It seems like with different translators and aim mechanics the same sensitivity won’t carry over from game to game.

Also, just out of curiosity, how would this methodology translate to finding your “perfect” sensitivity on the PC?  Again, each game has its own sensitivity settings but there is also DPI to factor in.  I guess I will have to see if someone has a similar video for PC.

Game Support / Re: Sea of Thieves Setup request
« on: 03:32 PM - 02/28/18 »
Support is planned. Are there any other users out there who haven't shown interest in this? I was expecting more conversations about this game.

The fact that it can be played on both a PC and Xbox probably quieted some talks about an ST for it.  Plus, it's not really a "shooter" per se.  You could probably find another ST that is "good enough" to play that game since very little of it will require pinpoint aim.

With that said, I do think it will be a very popular game and so people will certainly want an ST once it's released.

Things are converging and it is looking like, at this moment, that we are going to be opening this week (assuming nothing goes wrong with FedEx). I'll be posting a thread about this for the active community here who will get notification of the store opening first. A day later, we will notify the waiting list (in batches since it's so large).

Will only certain members have access to this thread or all active members checking forums?

I'm sure it will be public to all just like the previous release.

Ahh interesting.. so would any micro usb to usb work? Does it help with performance of just to connect it?

Just use the cable you use for charging your controller (assuming you have one).  That's what it will use to feed the controller's input to the XIM.

I just cancelled my order for another inferior product when i read about the apex. I think it will be worth the wait! Just need it before sea of thieves march 20th!

Do you not have a PC?  Just asking because Sea of Thieves is well optimized and will run on just about anything, and buying the Xbox version also gets you a copy on the PC as well (and vice versa).  So no need to run the XIM on Sea of Thieves if you have a halfway decent PC.  It's also cross play so you can still play with Xbox friends.
