My wired controller has the serial key worn off so I can't read it.  If I open the controller is there something that I should be able to see to determine if it is compatible?

General Discussion / Golf Simulator with Tiger Woods 09 and XIM2

I am looking forward to Tiger Woods 09 in August and want to use real golf clubs instead of a xbox 360 controller.  This device (http://www.electricspin.com/) is compatible with PC and PS3 and uses a USB connection.  If one were able to modulate and adjust the input correctly I would like to know if this could work with the XIM2 and XBOX 360. What things should I ask or research to understand if this is possible?
