I haven't played much of the MW mp so I'm just getting around to figuring this out now, now that warzone is out.  How do you guys deal with the differing sights sensitivities?  For instance, in previous cod's all sights felt like the same sensitivity but in this game they're all different it seems and you have a couple options in settings to tweak the sense for each one.

Are you guys just turning down the magnified sights' sens to match a reflex ( for example ). Although, seems like even a reflex might have a higher sens than iron sights though.  Seems hard to build some muscle memory in aiming with a game like this.

General Discussion / MW battle royale/warzone ST?
« on: 04:51 PM - 03/12/20 »
Will the MW Battle royale get  trained for an ST or is it exactly the same?  I'm using my modern warfare config and it's fine but I swear it feels different than playing in multiplayer (although I never played a ton of this MP).

I'm guessing the answer is: the ST is exact same for both but the BR just feels a bit different because it's technically a different game, but I'm just double checking.

Updated firmware to 2017, swapped to the controller that came with my 1x and all is normal again.  Weird, but good.  Thanks for the replies guys.

also, i'm using my controller from the original xbox one, not sure if that makes a difference at all.  it's the one i have been using for a couple years so I just continued it over to the 1x

Games can feel different between X1 and X1X. Most games give you the choice between improved framerate or improved textures so you might want to start in the game's options menu. Otherwise no, there is no change between the consoles that would affect XIM's translation.

I'm playing now and I'm finding what I'm noticing is it feels a bit jittery/twitchy only whne I'm making fine adjustments shooting people at distance in blackout. It's likely just how it feels different on the x, I'm sure. The question is, would moving to one firmware newer make any difference in feel?

There havent been any changes in that regard between the firmwares, but you can of course try a upgrade/downgrade to the previous firmware that you used. Its probably a config related change though, did you play with a curve? And have you setup your config in the very same way as before?

No curve ans it's the same config, my only change was getting an Xbox one x. I originally made this post because I thought I had to update firmware to the most recent one to make the xim with with the x, but found out the 2016 firmware worked with the x jusf fine when I got the Xbox home. For whatever reason, something feels weird about aiming in blackout. I can't out my finger on it. Maybe I just need to get used to the difference.  I'm just curious if updating the firmware from the one im using would make any difference in this aspect. The odd thing modern warfare and bo4 MP both feel normal.

The tldr of this would be, does the latest firmware have anything in it that is required to make the xim work with the Xbox one x properly.

For some reason playing blackout just feels different than before Xbox x, almost like I'm hitting max turn speed faster than on my original Xbox one. Like I was saying, my xim works without updating from 4.00.20160405, but it's got me curious if there is any changes or benefit from doing the update (specific to the one x). I've been avoiding it in case something happens and the process doesn't go smoothly and I lose my settings or something.

Hey,

that breaking change was only the case for that specific firmware, your configs will remain as they are if you are on a 2016 firmware plus your sensitivity will also stay the same. Here you have the correct firmware https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=71289.0

Thanks for the reply, it actually all worked no problem without updating on that 2016 one. I'm a firm believer in of it ain't broke, don't fix it  ;D

I should also add, if I don't have to do the update I won't even want to bother, so let me know if that's the case too. Cheers.

I am currently on firmware 4.00.20160405 and I'm going to grab an xbox one x tomorrow.  Doing some quick searches it appears like I'll have to update firmware for it to work.

My first question is, I remember when we all switched to this firmware (2016) from whatever my xim was shipped with before this date and this update ( i believe it was this one) made all the sensitivities in my settings way off.  I think we had to either double or cut in half the sens's so it would feel the same.  Is this going to happen when I do the most recent updates for it to work with the one x?

And also, will I lose any settings? I found a thread that says doing an update is a "breaking change" and will require a factory reset + will also lose all the settings, but that looks like only if its 20141114 or earlier. Correct?

How do I force my app to update? Seems like I don't have it

Edit : I just re downloaded the app, got it now.

What's everyone's setting for aim response curve type? I want it to play like previous cods did, do u assume standard? Although linear seems like that's what I'd want?

I'd hate to be "that guy" but is there any update? Hoping to have my ST setup before my weekend off

Without the xim you will be with pc lobbies, most people don't want that

Well im playing all day with nativ m&k support in MW and crossplay is disabled. You don't have to enable it. Thats why i also want to know "why should i use the xim over the nativ settings"

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you have cross play off and are using keyboard and mouse with your Xbox (without xim), aren't you only playing other console people using keyboard and mouse and pc players?
no, i have cross play disabled and theres native kb/m  in my lobbys,  not very many but 1 or 2 every 3 or 4 matchs.

Then I have no idea why I've been waiting for the ST. Lol
