XIM Link / Diablo 3 script
« on: 09:20 PM - 05/30/19 »
This is not really a script to use controls like PC, but more of a QoL script that is similar to the NumLock trick that is used on the PC version of Diablo 3. Someone that has has better AHK skills then me could make this into a single script, but when I tried it would bug out on me so I made each key individually. For those that don't know what NumLock is in D3 it's just a way to press key/button over and over. All I did is setup a basic Console Controller Crossover Profile and deleted all the key settings to start fresh then made each key set to what is below. Then run the script. Now depending on the class you play, some keys can be pressed repeated and you never need to press them and still use your controller. I know this is a old @#$% game but I still enjoy playing it. :P

I use the mouse forward and back to scroll up and down in the inventory with no issues.

3
As far I know this is not supported.

Or maybe doesn't work with the current firmware I'm using. That's why I think will be nice to have that option or the "Apply Turn Assist" on sub-config activation.

Thanks for this, I was a little confused as to how it all worked. Hopefully OBsIV could explain if don't work how I thought or he can add the "Apply Turn Assist" to sub-config. That would be great.

4
I'm also curious as to why mouse forward is used for turn assist?
Why couldn't you use the same key that is used for the Aux profile?

For example if your using G for Ping, you can't use G for the Aux profile and use G for Turn Assist? That way all you would have to do is hold G down and it would activate the Aug profile and Turn assist? Hope this makes sense.

Yes I use it on my XIM Apex. I also have a a ps4 pro and it works fine on that to.

Every time I try to run my VPN through my ps4 I get NAT type issues. Like CoD for example, I can get NAT type open but then if I use ps4 party chat I can't invite or get into any of my friends chat. Maybe it's my vpn, but that's the issues I have. Using Nord VPN btw.

I just bought a Xbox One over the holiday and bought the Corsair HS50 for $50. Cheap, sounds great, fits my ears with glasses, and just plugs into the controller.

8
For me?  Hmmm, I think I was messing with the polling rate and changed it from 125 to 500 then restarted the Apex.

9
I had the same problem running the beta Firmware & Manager from [20181109]. Steady Aim and Boost randomly just disappeared. I've had that beta since it came out before it randomly started that yesterday. I updated to the latest beta and all is back to normal for now.

Smite ST feels decent to me. From everything I've read here and reddit, none of the controller controls work (aim assist, ads ect) aside from x & y sensitivity and sony hasn't approved any crossplay from PC so that leaves out K&M players. Saying this because more often then not when I do die I get straight lasered and can't see these controller players having god aim with zero aim assist. With that said, there must be a lot of closet XIM players on there playing. :P

I also tried the paladins profile and it just feels way off. I'm not sure what settings to max out in options for sensitivity. I did notice in the tutorial section, it looks like you can stay in there a unlimited amount of time so getting a ST for it should be possible?

A lot of CoD MP problems are due to lag compensation. It's been that way year-in, year-out for a decade.

If you've got a good ping, prepare to play poorly. That sounds counterintuitive, but unless your ping is around 40ms minimum, you're going to lose to players with higher pings. They'll see you on-screen before you'll see them and you'll consistently feel half a second behind in an engagement.

You can try to get around this by connecting through a VPN to increase your ping. A Netduma router can also help. I used my Netduma to shift my location to a different server and bingo...crispy hit registration. I went from scraping by on 1KD / game with 10 kills a game to dropping up to 8KD with 20+ kills a game. There are still rounds where things feel off, but they're in the minority rather than the majority now.

Long story short - internet connection makes all the difference in CoD, and not in the way you'd expect. You need to make a great ping worse to improve hit registration and to start competing with the McDonald's WIFI connections.

long distance fight as well ill be pre aiming and shoot when someone comes to spot yet i get killed my ping runs around 40
That should be bang on optimal for CoD servers. It'll still be the netcode though.

Going through a VPN, would you know why I get NAT type errors when trying to join PS4 party chat? I tried going through my VPN and forwarded all the correct ports and got NAT type open in game now and game chat works, but I rarely use game chat. I have so many ports forwarded but seems like there must be one for ps4 party chat that's missing.

I use an Aux config I posted. A lot People seem to like it and it allows you to use your mouse in the inventory menu.

It's still working great, I'm still messing with the delay. I had 1 time the entire night of playing at 400 delay where it got stuck and didn't switch back and I was stuck with the left stick swapped. Put it at 500 delay and so far no issues, so you guys might have to mess with the delay somewhere between 400-500.

I set up Tab for inventory on main hip config.(which is the options button for the controller)

Then make an Auxiliary config.
Uncheck "Inherit"
Activation Key "Tab" then check Toggle. (Make sure to check toggle and use a 500 delay or it won't work using the same key)
Delay "500"
Aim Sensitivity "nearly double your hip"
You could add a slight curve or some smoothing. I have smoothing 10.
Check "Left Stick" this allows you to use your mouse in the inventory.

Since you unchecked inherit you'll have to set keybinds for when your in your inventory.Below is what I use for PS4.

Set:
Left Mouse Click: Square
Right Mouse Click: X
Forward Mouse Click: Triangle

Doing it this way no Aux buttons interfere with my main buttons and you can use the same key to toggle into inventory and it will switch to Aux file automatically because in my case I use Tab for both inventory and Aux profile.

*Edit
I should mention I use this mainly in Blackout to manage inventory. I find it easier than using UP on dpad for me.
