been experimenting a bit. I tried steam big picture mode and still had the same issue.

I don't think there is anything can be done. I tried different controller and different USB ports.

I guess it's more of a software issue? maybe.

Some Unreal Engine games will grab the inputs on a lower level than XIM Link. Maybe you can solve this by forcing the game into controller mode (Steam Big Picture usually helps here).

Will try it for Steam, but I would mainly would want to use it for upcoming CoD. Is there a way to force it to use controller? Is it something related to sending the command to the XIM link app (not active window)?

Since I noticed as soon as I launch the game, I can’t send the activation key press to Xim link.

After a few exterminations, it seems it does work on the background, however, as soon as call of duty loads, it will still recognize the keyboard and I can see the buttons on the button fluctuate between the keyboards ones and the controller.

I tried this also on steam's monster hunter and the same thing happen.

It seems that the xim link is not able to force CoD/Monster hunter to only recognize the controller only. Any workaround for this?

Yes setup is identical, though its advertised to use an Xbox One controller as that one has the best compatibility with PC games. It also provides better mouse movements.

I plugged in everything and in the desktop it seems working. I press the activation key in the XIM link and it seems things are working.

However… whenever the XIM link app is not the active window (I run a game or even have browser on full screen) it no longer register the activation key and hence can use the XIM apex. I can still use the controller but tje k/m is active as normal k/m.

I hope I didn’t confuse you and would appreciate any feedback.

Note: I I added the scroll key (default activation key in XIM link) to the white list menus and still didn’t work when the XIM link app window is not the active one.

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I want to use my Xim Apex on PC and use Xim link to switch controls of the m/KB between game (controller) and normal PC use.
Is the setup exactly the same as the console Xim link setup? will it work on any connected controller supported by PC (PS5, PS4, xbox one)?

Quick question, is there a way to remap the Pause/Break button for link activation? I am too used to it for home button and so many times I press it and deactivate the link.

I know I can "add" other buttons for Activation & Deactivations but the issue is that the Pause button will still be active.

I can buy Hori Onyx Gamepad. Can someone confirm that it's working? Especially 3.5mm jack for audio. Or can someone advice me the cheapest controller that works with PS5 games and has working 3.5 jack for audio (like ds4). Thanks!

I tried it, it could not work with my PS5 with USB. It has to be paired via blue tooth. Thus, I couldn't get it to work with Xim at all.

This is to confirm that Hori RAP4 joystick works.
I happen to have it as I use it to play fighting games. Obviously, too expensive to get it just to use it with XIM.

You may need to set the PS5 console to "Use USB communication".

I don't know if Cold War defaults to controller or m/kb, so it's also worth checking that controller is selected in the game's settings.

Hey guys,

I own a XIM4 and I thought it would be better to post my question here.

I've updated my XIM4 to the latest firmware and tried to use it on the PS5 to play the PS4 ver of CoD Cold war. However, both Keyboard and mouse didn't work. I can see that both are connected and functional in the ios Xim manager but I both are not working on the PS5  (playing PS4 games).

I've used the same setup on my PS4 pro and they are working fine.

I keep reading that you can actually use the Xim Apex on PS5 playing PS4; is that same case for Xim4? If so, what do  i need to do to make it work?

Forgot to mention I am using my the DS4 pad with the light on top of the touchpad.

Any help would be really appreciated.
