General Discussion / Re: Ps5 & xim apex compatibility
« on: 01:48 PM - 05/15/22 »
I check back every few weeks to see if any progress has been made getting the Xim to work on PS5.  Coming close to 2 years since launch and still do not see any promising leads.  I had so much fun being able to play shooters, I havenít played my favorite genre since Blackout ended a few years back and I miss it.  Iíve tried using sticks but Iím just straight trash using sticks to aim really no point even playing the games.

Just wish all shooters on console would support m/k native.

The Xim gave me some amazing times on the 4 Pro in Blackout, thanks for the fantastic device!

Going forward thoughÖ Is there any use of keeping an Apex if all I have is a 5?  I have not seen a single piece of info that states the Xim might be functional on the 5 by itself(no beloader, remote play, hooking PCs, etc)?  If itís just a matter of using a different manufacturer dual sense that would be awesome, but Iíve not heard mention of that either.

If you really miss playing with m/kb that much wouldn't you be owning a Beloader or trying out PSRC by now? I know I can't wait for who knows when that time will come

Extra lag/input latency.  If Iím understanding it correctly beloader is using remote play, correct?

Where can I find the instructions on using remote play on ps5 with Xim Apex?  Iíve tried for months using the sticks but I canít get used to them, I absolutely hate aiming in a fast paced game with sticks.

ManÖ still canít use the Xim normally.  Itís been a year since Iíve enjoyed multiplayer because for me controllers are dogshit for PvP.

Might be time to sell the 5 and go PC route.

My advice is to prepare for disappointment.

Recall that the Logitech G90 wheel is considered a specialty PS4 controller. All Sony needs to do to is whitelist racing games to allow specialty controllers, and for the Thrustmaster wheel to enumerate as one. No encryption required. No rumble royalties to pay to Immersion. The backdoor will remain open for selected titles, while Sony slams the door shut on the rest by forcing DualSense controllers.

If you want to play BF2042, either use Remote Play for the PS5 version, download the PS4 version, on PS5 or play the most performant version on Series X at 1440p 120Hz. Direct PS5 support is not coming down the pipe any time soon from anyone. Workarounds will still be needed and will require performance sacrifices and additional equipment.

Figured it was a lost cause on Ps5 being a year in and nothing remotely close to being fixed.

Yea I don't see any news like that on any of the companies websites. Titan, reasnow, cronus etc etc.

That type of news would be huge and circulating all throughout these products websites. I just don't see it.

This company only reached out to us so far. When I asked them why, they said that they wanted to work with us first because of our popularity. Also, because we are a reputable company that wouldn't cheat them in some way (which is true). They are concerned about theft so they are getting their initial batch ready first before announce. We will be getting one of these samples.

I hope this works out.  Iíve tried to get used to a controller for these games but no matter how much I try I just canít get comfortable using sticks in FPS games.  It worked so dam good for my PS4 pro so I was hoping it would just carry over to the 5.  I understand it will take some time to get things right with new hardware but just hope that it does end up working.

I went from playing multiplayer almost all the time to barely playing much anymore.

Beta / Re: Uh remote play feels native
« on: 09:24 AM - 10/09/21 »
I just deleted BF2042 cause I canít play a FPS with a controller.  Iím absolutely awful with them.

Iím guessing we will never get full support with the Xim on Ps5.

I hope this works out!  Thank you!

Did Sony add something to the DualSense to purposely lock out stuff like this Xim?

Is there a guide showing out to set up remote play with use of the Xim?

Probably not supported as the look mechanics are horrendous for using a mouse.

Thanks.

Game Support / Re: Please add SpliteGate

Theres no ST for it right now but I've been using the BFV ST and it works very well. Max put the ingame sensitivity but keep the acceleration at 0.

Iíll have to give this a go.

11
Is it supported and Iím not seeing it and if not anyone try another game for Crsed and had success?

Beta / Re: Working 3rd party controller!?!?!?
« on: 04:54 PM - 08/04/21 »
Nacon Compact has no known problems. The issues were because some people had not upgraded to the beta XIM APEX firmware before using the Nacon Compact.

It's important to note that not all PS5 games work with specialty PS4 controllers. Doom Eternal and Final Fantasy VII require a DualSense.

XIM APEX PS5 support is conditional on the specialty controller workaround and game developers can remove them at any time. That's why there won't be PS5-specific Smart Translators for XIM devices.

So we will never have the ability to just use a DS controller?

DS4 can be used to play PS4 games on PS5.

A supported third-party specialty PS4 controller is needed to play PS5 games. See https://xim.tech/beta for more info. Most of us are using either Hori or Nacon controllers.

DualSense is being worked on, but likely wonít be supported until licenced third-party controllers are available on PS5.

Thank you.

Controller?  Itís been months since Iíve played anything mouse related but Iím getting the urge.

Can I use a DS4 with the Apex on my 5 or does it have to be a 3rd party controller?

Do we know if we will ever get to use the Xim with the Dual Sense?

Check if you set the communitcation method to wired/usb in the console system settings, thats one of the most common reasons for why it doesnt work.

In Accessories, controllers, has communication method... then its use Bluetooth or use USB cable(this isnít applicable for Dual Shock 4).

Am I at the right place?

Yep, itís working now!

Thank you!!
