im getting a lot of "stick drift" on my mouse. like it just starts pulling in random directions. what can I do to fix this?

In xim don't set the deadzone to 0, there is no need. That is only xim's way to cancel out any unnecessary input from the roller. Set it to whatever default is (I'm not sure off my head)

I have set all my values to 0. I haven’t had any complaints or noticed much of it, but I thought I was best to vanilla white these settings.

Wasn’t the original 7500?

Have you tried XIM APEX at 125Hz Response Rate, with Sync Off or Sync Default?

That should feel like a XIM 4 (though some dispute it) as the Smart Translators are exactly the same.

I have. For whatever reason the AA seems much stronger on xim4 than apex. Seems like there’s a rollover issue/sync issue with the xim4 that cannot keep up with that many commands?

On apex legends, my WASD on keyboard is very clunky compared to xim apex. Unfortunately, on apex legends, I get way better AA and feel with xim4 but I can’t move diagonal/feel like only my keys work individual and not together. (WA, WD)

I also noticed when I spam click on semi auto, pistols and prowler, if I click my mouse to fast I get dead shots and then my gun stops shooting even though there is ammo. It’s like you can only click x amount of times per every few seconds or it just stops registering.

Appreciate all the replies.

I ordered a ducky mini with silent (pink$)cherry keys and some o-rings just to be on safe side.

Hopefully this dampens the sound drastically.

Also looking to sell 2 basically brand new keyboards.

Logitech g pro - 60 (bought less than 3 months ago will come with receipt from Best Buy)
Huntsman Elite - $50 (min wear on the wrist rest)

So far I’ve gone through a

Razer huntsman elite,
Logitech g pro mini.

Looking for something that is quiet so my stream/people don’t hear my keyboard. I’m very open and honest with it, but my room is basically empty with hardwood so there’s tons of echo.

I believe most mods/developers for xim still use xim4 over newer version.

None of the mods, devs or alpha testers use XIM 4. We all moved on with the launch of APEX.

The STs on XIM 4 and APEX are exactly the same.

I have both of them and I can assure you that they’re both up to date with current config and for whatever reason the aiming is sticker, and smoother on the xim4.

I’ve matched my xim apex up with default sync, hz: off, 500, 1000 and still have yet to get it to feel identical. If you look at some of there posts underneath (OBSIV) it shows he uses BenQ, xim4, ducky keyboard, and Zowie mouse.

Does 4.2 work on Xbox?

It will work. It all depends on your preference and how you set up deadzone or ALC. I've used all the Apex legends and TF2 ST. I think the Apex Legends Xbox One 1.1 ST works better than the PS4 4.2 on xbox. IMO. What I do is have a few identical configs with different STs and some days I have to switch cuz one just feels bad.

After it is deleted, do I have to “recreate”a new config?

I'm not sure what you mean by deleted. When you update or rather "regress" your xim manager to a previous backup file you gain access to old STs. This shouldn't delete any of your current configs on your xim device. Once you do that you will have to create a new config and build from scratch, or copy and paste another config.
I run the latest xim manager beta software on my iOS device and an older version on my PC xim manager. This allows access to the newest (iOS) and past (PC) STs without having to backup my configs every time. Either way the config (and the ST version it was built on) are saved to your Xim device. This way you can have 4.2 and 4.3 for PS4 or 1.1 and 1.2 STs for Xbox all saved on your xim. I simply create 3 or 4 blank configs on my PC manager and save them to my xim. Then I move over to my phone and copy / paste the config I want onto the blank ST I want to use. You don't have to do this but I am much more proficient on the phone. Hopefully this made sense for you, if not I'd say just go over the videos again as they do a good job explaining each step.

I copied the 4.2 settings (Xbox) did the old ST conversion via PC and exchanged folders, but on my x1 it still shows 4.3. I didn’t realize you could copy your saved configs even if you manually changed the file to an older ST.

So now all I do is create a “NEW config” for the ST changes to take effect correct?

From what I understand there is no more room in device memory for major compatibility updates for XIM 4, which to be fair, hasn’t been produced in over 3 years.

An Xbox One controller works on Series X, which will add another 7 or 8 years to the XIM 4’s lifespan.

I disagree with this. I believe most mods/developers for xim still use xim4 over newer version. There’s a reason why and it says a lot! I find my xim4 way smoother than my xim apex, even when I “mirror” settings to match apex with xim4. Hell I even, copied the ST off xim4 to place it with xim apex with no luck

I still have key roll over issues with my xim4. Now on a Logitech I still have to double press W a few times to run or even diagonal slide jump in Apex legends. Extremely frustrating.

What firmware is your XIM4 running on? You can find out via the top right options (info/about). Maybe its the firmware being outdated.

The firmware and manager posted in the first thread. I don’t think there is an update. Should be most current, no?

A lot of Razer keyboards have low key rollovers when they are not connected to the Synapse PC driver. By that i mean an issue that occurs when too many keys are being pressed, it will either result in one of them getting stuck or the next one being accepted with a huge delay.
Say the keyboard has a 3 key rollover, the moment you want to press 4 keys at the same time you will run into that issue. And that can happen quite quickly when you crouch walk diagonally (crouch key, W+D key) and then want to perform another action such as reloading via a keyboard key.

No way. I swear if this fixed my issues with the xim4. Idk what to say… idk why it fees so much smoother but there’s just something about this st.

Update on Logitech g pro keyboard.

Seems to feel smoother but I still get these Diagonal dead slides.. not sure why I get them on xim4

Which game exactly? And have you tried a different keyboard already?
Some keyboards have a low key rollover which can cause such a behaviour.

For apex legends and I use a razer huntsman elite. Never thought about the keyboard being an issue.
