Haven't noticed any pixel skipping issues either. I'm loving it.

It's not going to skip if using something other than "Linear" such as "Fine Aim" I think it was called or Default. If you use the Fast Aim option, w/e that's called it will also skip pixels uncontrollably all over the place.

Linear allows for very precise 180 turns snapping around.

I don't enjoy Unresponsive mouse control neither so Deadzone:OFF is a must as well.
Until I opted to try the APEX ST then everything went to @#$%. Crossover ST allows Linear + No Deadzone while APEX ST apparently does not.

In game Settings :

Sens 8 (insane)
ADS 7 (ultra High)
Response Curve : High Velocity
Look Deadzone : Small
Movement Dead Zone : Small

Sens 8 (insane)
ADS 8 (insane)
Response Curve : Linear
Look Deadzone : None
Movement Dead Zone : whatever

Crossover ST rather than APEX ST

I plugged into APEX ST over Crossover ST and the crosshairs stuttered all over the place skipping pixels nonstop.

No Deadzone has the crosshairs drifting slowly NE but w/e. You get used to it. Better than skipping pixels stuttering trying to AIM. In my opinion at least. Otherwise Small Deadzone has me slowly moving my mouse while my crosshairs do NOT move. Unresponsive. Literally unplayable.

apex legends ST just released

Crossover ST is better IMO. Maxed out Sensitivity for both Hip & DS + Linear w/o any stuttering crosshairs.

Most of those issues, basically all of them, are the fault of the DEVS themselves. I understood the points you made which are definitely valid. I'm just saying nobody uses XIM on PC over Naitive M+KB support due to such reasons.

That's exactly what I was assuming.

So basically w/ the 2nd Graph I was actually correct.

STEADY AIM seems to suggest both ZERO acceleration + MAX acceleration repeatedly

The STEADY AIM diagram seems to suggest that your Aim would be skipping all over the place since there is only ZERO + MAX acceleration displayed. Which like I said suggests your own Mouse movements as being irrelevant.

Increase your Mouse movement slightly & it will randomly jump skipping pixels even when you do not want such.

I said such was "impossible" which is definitely not the right word for such. If it works best for you. Then mission accomplished.

These are not Xim curves. Ignore the values and focus on the effect.

NVI - Night Vision Investigation?
SMN - Simplex Motion Numbers?

What's the LEGEND for?
If not BALLISTICS then what do the DIAGRAMS depict?

This is happening a thousand times per second at 1000Hz polling.

Not even sure what is even being Diagramed exactly. . . . .
So much confusion.

Steady aim is similar to smoothing. It will increase AA. Boost will help reduce AA, but it will hinder micro movements.

Boost increases the size of the deadzone, which may help with micromovements if you find that moving a mouse results in no movement, or unpredictable micromovement.

Steady Aim is closer to the opposite of Smoothing.

Smoothing does this (red line) -



Quantization does this (red line) -



SA decreases the effect of the AA bubble by making it easier to enter the hitbox. It's a side-effect of quantizing the input, it works and it doesn't feel janky (I expected input to feel jittery with quantization).

oohuu. I heard Smoothing and Steady aim dos not correlate. o.O

I would think adding both Smoothing and SA would counteract each other. Perhaps adding a little of one to the other would add some fine-tuning, but I'd be inclined to use one or the other, not both.

What does the NVI + SMN stand for in the LEGEND?

I can only assume that each Diagram is trying to display Acceleration w/ upwards being Increased while the Curves going Left to Right only stand for Time itself.

Doesn't make much sense that way though since STEADY AIM seems to suggest both ZERO acceleration + MAX acceleration repeatedly which is impossible if moving your Mouse w/ the actual CURVATURE displayed. That would mean STEADY AIM does what it wants ignoring your Mouse movements.

Supposedly. That's what everyone seems to state but what exactly does STEADY AIM do? Does it over accelerate the Turn Speed? I mean what else could it actually possibly do to cut through AA. I seriously cannot think of anything else.

go with freesync, while the PS4 doesnt support freesync the PS5 is said to run an AMD GPU so it doesnt make any sense to go for a gsync one if you plan to use it with the PS5
(pretty sure the PS5 will have freesync but dont quote me on that)

You are most likely speaking absolute facts about PS4 using AMD though. So I guess it would make some sense to at least have FREESYNC just incase such is indeed supported on PS5.

PS4 doesn’t support any, and only the Xbox one S and  X support free sync. I would suggest you find a cheap 144hz monitor for future applications maybe pc, or the upcoming ps5

So if I bought a G-SYNC to cover PC + PS4 then I should be good then.

Yes and No. G Sync will only work if you pair it with an NVIDIA GPU, and AMD GPU would make it useless. As for the PS4, it would be irrelevant.

That's what I figured but even though the PS4 uses AMD over NVIDIA, which you are supposedly supposed to go w/ FREESYNC over G-SYNC, when using AMD. FREESYNC does NOT work w/ PS4 regardless even though PS4 uses AMD, apparently.

Sure you can do that but w/ zero value since its not a MACRO or SCRIPT or w/e they call it. Pressing that 1 Key will hit both Buttons simultaneously which, more often than not, is not exactly what you want to happen.

That's exactly the purpose of the binding  One key, two buttons. L1+R1 are common bindings for supers in games like Destiny, Call of Duty and Fortnite: Save the World.

Another example is binding Sprint to W for auto-run, or Sprint to ADS for auto hold-breath while sniping.

These are three very simple examples of the benefits of a Xim that extend beyond m/kb input. You can't do that using native m/kb, not even on PC. One key is only ever allowed to be bound to one action.

You've seen how convoluted m/kb bindings are in Fortnite, Because Xim uses controller bindings, it compacts them to very easy to use dual-actions.

Your perspective is very narrow. Seriously, play more games.

Well if "supers" are multiple key bindings and Devs want to allow such in their games for Controllers to do such. There is no reason a M+KB could not be allowed to do exactly the same as well.

You're claiming my perspective as narrow minded while the XIM is not breaking any grounds into anything that M+KB can NOT do IF the DEVS themselves wanted you to do such. Let's be serious here. The main reason anyone uses XIM over Naitive M+KB on PC is for AA. They don't opt for inferior controls cuz they cannot do Key Bindings nor any other reason you suggested. It's all about the Auto Aim Mechanics. There is nothing that XIM can do that Naitive M+KB cannot do. All you need on PC is AA + acceleration + multiple key bindings to 1 button combined w/ Naitive M+KB = XIM. Which is very much possible if Devs wanted such available.

Od1n alrdy hit the nail on the head. It's up to the DEVS themselves. The idea of paying for something your Console alrdy supports on its own is a tad ridiculous. That's like being forced to buy Input Adapters just to use M+KB on PC. . . .
The Devs themselves drive the demand for Input Adapters by rejecting M+KB support.

Correct, it's up to the game developers. It's yet to be seen how many game makers use this support on Xbox. Few games on PS4 support it. And, even if more games are supported, the question also is if the gaming populations will be there.

Indeed. Vast majority of Console player base does not want to use M+KB. They cannot pool together both Controller w/ M+KB gameplay. I guess they could. PC does such. Controller w/ AA vs XIM vs Naitive M+KB might not even be all that terrible being AA gives Auto Tracking across the board vs Naitive M+KB. While if they increased the Turn Speed CAP then Naitive M+KB would have 1 less advantage.

If we seriously wanted XIM as a "cheat" then having 1 Key set to do Button Combos would work to do the trick. Like setting 1 Key to do SFV combos. That would definitely be relevant. . . . but I respect the fact that XIM does NOT offer such.

Everything you listed is either irrelevant using Naitive M+KB or also available while using Naitive M+KB as well.

Of course, no one is stopping you from using native mouse support. If the game you are playing supports it, you aren't interested with grouping up with friends, and the populations are there, then it sounds like a good option for you.
