General Discussion / Re: Xim Compatible Wireless Mice
« on: 11:40 PM - 02/19/20 »
Wireless go with Logitech, newest versions from Razer (Viper UT,Basilisk UT),Roccat Kain 200 or Rival 650.
Other companies' wireless solutions are not worth the money.

third from the left is a proven value for all pads.

The second sensor comes into play when a user lifts up the mouse. The lift off distance is customisable - for when the mouse stops and starts tracking – avoiding unwanted extra movement when the mouse is picked up and put down again. The second sensor also features linear optical detection for true depth perception for the world’s most precise lift-off detection down to 0.5mm (and up to 2mm), says SteelSeries.

With the lift off distance settings you can adjust the properties of the second sensor. third from the left is a proven value for all pads. A mouse pad is personal preference. The rival 600 can use with any surface.
AMP500, MP510, SS Dex, SS QCK +, Zowie GTF-X, GS-R, Razer Goliathus Speed / Control to name a few examples that I like.

The classic.I would have taken the QCK +. It's faster, but enough control and stopping power
It's in my opinion the most balanced QCK pad when it comes to speed, stopping power and consistency.
But as has already been said, a mouse pad is a matter of personal preference.
there are so many good pads, making a real recommendation is almost impossible. QCK and Zowie G-SR are the most used by CS pros, at least they were.

  • So that I could play CoD with my console mates
  • Because there were loads of hackers on CoD
  • Because support for CoD on PC was poor
  • Because there were very few CoD players on PC

Basically, because I played Call of Duty.

Having said all that, I play on PC for just about every other game.

Interesting detail, CoD is one of the only FPSs in console that doesnt run like absolute trash, I'm talking input lag, I remember going from playing WW2 on xbox to BFV and it was like going from a pool straight into a pool of molasses

Dont even get me started on some 30fps titles, we talking like 200ms input latency, PUBG for instance isnt that bad, but other games are unplayable, you feel like trying to swim through syrup, it's one of the benefits on PC I like the most, I can cap games at 45fps and its very playable with a $300 PC.

BF runs much better than CoD in terms of aim and view mechanics. BFV is almost 100% like on a PC.

BO4 and MW have gotten worse compared to older CoD titles when using a Xim.

I've tried 250hz and sync off 1000dpi in BFV and it's awesome :) anyone plays BF with sync off ? i would like to know other settings like smoothing, steady aim and boost

BF games are by far the best games for the xim. In my opinion it doesn't need smoothing, boost or sa. What you can do is sab for hip and ads with a value of 75. Personally, I also prefer default rather than off for BFV and 1000hz at 1600 dpi.
Maybe with Apex firmware updates things have changed. Have been playing bfv for a long time without aa.
2.77 K/D only with infantry.

EDIT:what also works well with bf is this mjfame Matutaiki stuff if you play with aa.

Mouse 1000hz 1600-3200 DPI
Apex 1000hz
Sync default
SAB 75 Hip and ADS
ADS delay 300-400

Sens what ever you like.

RVU has a 3399 sensor with no smoothing all the way to the top dpi. Confirmed by a razor rep on oc they should mention this on their shop tech spec page.

The wired Viper does not use the 3399 sensor. That still has some smoothing (depending on the dpi setting... 0 frames under 1800 though) as our other 3389/3390 implementations. All 3399 based mice have 0 frames of smoothing all the way across the entire range.

Nice thx!👍

Don't be too scientific. Use what feels best for you, what you play best with. 3200 dpi is the golden mean for me with the xim. The only exception for me would be cod and even that I can play very well with 3200 DPI.

Is the same sensor. The better one is the one with the shape for your grip style, number of buttons and whether you prefer a lighter or heavier one.
