I had the same problem, bought two brand new and sealed off fleabay, both nav’s batteries were dead.  I contacted one seller and they gave me a partial refund.  Bought two new batteries from here - https://www.subtel.co.uk/replacement-batteries/consoles-and-controllers/_Filter/Brand/Sony/Model/PlayStation%2BMove%2BNavigation%2BController/ and now they work and charge.

In the end I decided to buy the Lucidsound LS50X for my Xbox series X, very good headset, comfortable, good battery life, sound great.  Does not turn my Xbox on when I turn the headset on like the Steelseries 9X do, which I would find frustrating.  The LS50X are currently on sale on Amazon for £175, which was another bonus.

Yeah I have the Xbox Razer Thresher Ultimate headset and the exact same plastic part has cracked and broken as the LX35x, and have heard others report the plastic cracking issue, not heard anyone mention the LS50X with this issue though.  The only thing that puts me off the LS50X is the dongle and how big it might be and it will take up a usb slot on my series X.

I have seen a lot of complaints on Amazon about the Arctis 9X plastic cracking where the headband enters the ear piece and the ear piece falling off.

Hi, I want a new wireless headset and have narrowed it down to either the Lucidsound LS50X or the Steelseries Arctis 9X headset, any opinions or advice would be appreciated?

I looked at this too, I’m really unsure about it and the button positions.  I’m pretty happy using the Sony nav but I think if XIM were to produce one that would be very interesting.  I’d rather spend money on a XIM nav than the XIM nexus.

I have discovered it is the chat pad connected to my controller that is causing the issue, if I unplug it then it all works, plug it in and apex stops working.  So what ever the new controller firmware has done has affected the chat being plugged in when using the apex.

No buttons work on my mouse, the only button that works on my Sony nav is the ps button which is configured as the Xbox button.

Yes, all buttons and sticks work on the controller.

I will check when I get home.  It all worked fine until I update controller firmware.  By the way it is the Xbox series X supplied controller.

I updated my controller today to FW 5.11.3118.0 and now the apex does not work everything is unresponsive on the Xbox dashboard.  I am using the latest apex beta FW 5.00.20211012 and manager 5.00.2021001. 

Edit - The only button that responds on Xbox on my nav is the configured Xbox button.

Edit - Plugged my old elite controller in without updating and everything works.

Edit - It must be the new controller update that has caused the issue.

IMHO if it going to be better than the Official Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, then the price for that in the UK is £159.99, so should it be based around that price ?

Edit - I probably won’t purchase the Nexus as I really really suck with a controller and I don’t imagine any device would help me play even remotely ok with a controller, so I will stick with the Apex and Mouse and Nav.

I have got back into playing this, did this get the mechanic check ?  It is so bad playing this, delay in movement and so jittery.

My bad, an update had returned the in game setting to default, set them back to Apex recommended settings and all is smooth again
