Don't use instant, use gradual ^^

Try 224ms or 324ms for the ads delay.

yes, btw i think instant with 224 for ads delay works good too.

I just tested it and there is still a „jump“ if I set it to 0… so I think it doesn‘t work properly how it‘s written. Do you test it? It feels wrong for me with delay at 0.

Did you disable "smooth aim transition" ?  If you want your XIM Apex to sync up perfectly with "instant" this should be off.
I don't notice any jump with these settings.

OK after more tests, there is definitely some "jumpiness" when transitioning from HIP to ADS using delay 0. Its not so noticeable with small sights but there it is.

So for me 224 in activation delay (0 for deactivation delay) and instant in game its good until mist can found out the best cause there is gradual and after zoom sets too. I think mist have to check which is best combination for training.

Instant with 224 works good in my opinion.

For the first time i think there is no need of using ads transition delay in XIM with VANGUARD. Just use ADS sensitivity transition timing to INSTANT and ADS sens multiplier (Steady Aim) to max as previous posts. ST should be trained as this, no ADS delay needed in XIM for COD anymore

What do you think guys? it feels very good

Nice, now we don‘t need the activation delay for this CoD game.

So just set it to 0 and no problems? What is with the deactivaton delay? (It was needed for MW2019 ST)
Activation and deactivation delays at 0.

Tested for hours with different weapons and attachments without problems.

exactly what i think. It feels very good with no ADS delay and INSTANT in game. I'm using MW 2019 ST, when official ST comes out it should be perfect.

I bet for 130-140 USD/eur max as there will be taxes in some countries at least here in spain.

Short answer - NEXUS allows even veteran m/kb users to play console shooters with a controller. Whether or not you can slay the lobby depends on time and dedication, but you will be competitive very quickly.

I've been an m/kb gamer since the Commodore 64 and I hate using a controller for shooters. The only shooters I've ever beaten with sticks are Horizon Zero Dawn and the Ratchet & Clank games. Every other console shooter from the last decade I've beaten with a XIM m/kb adapter from one generation or another.

Motion aim makes a huge difference to my controller aim, which is typically nothing short of awful. I am not kidding, I am trash with a controller. The whole reason I landed on XIM in the first place is I kept running out of bullets in Uncharted on PS3.

For single-player games, it'll be quick and easy to adapt to NEXUS from m/kb without the pressure of other players gunning for you. Precision is surprisingly good and motion aim is really stable, depending on your NEXUS settings (calibrate it first). The learning curve is pretty shallow - I recommend disabling Motion Aim for HIP and enabling it for ADS only (the default setting) to get used to it. The most obvious benefit of Motion Aim is recoil control, which is dead easy to do by simply tilting the controller forward. Aim assist is very sticky and smooth - it's in a whole other league than APEX because NEXUS is designed to use it.

For multiplayer online shooters, it's going to take me more time. I'm very hesitant to give up my APEX for MP gaming (really...why would I?), but when I have used NEXUS in MP, I've had roughly the same KDR. I feel less comfortable and confident with a controller given my decades on m/kb, but that's just a matter of putting in the time. Guys like d1sable and MrBrutalFrosty are going to stomp heads with a NEXUS.

NEXUS games require Smart Translators for Motion Aim. As we know, some STs are better than others, so results will vary. Overall, I've really enjoyed that I can finally play a console shooter with a controller. Being pain-free to boot is a massive plus.

I'll be able to demo the difference NEXUS makes to my controller aim by simply toggling motion aim on and off real-time on Twitch. All we need is the green light from OBsIV and a few of the testers will start showcasing NEXUS on Twitch & YouTube.

Thank you as always for your good explanations, it looks awesome and very PROMISING. My no doubt solution is simple: TO BUY THE NEXUS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Can't wait to see more videos showing gameplays, specially in COD and Battlefield titles.

I saw a question about fatigue when using the controller. Its a legitimate concern because you constantly are moving your wrists around to aim. Personally I have experience no fatigue at all. I do occasionally experience fatigue when using KB/M but never on NEXUS. I have had insanely long gaming sessions, even had a few all day followed by all nighter type sessions and never had an issue! Its an extremely comfortable gaming experience.
To add to this - I’ve had two frozen shoulders in the past few years, as well as C4 spinal cord impingement that have almost entirely prevented me from gaming. Mouse & keyboard aggravates my shoulders and neck, but NEXUS causes no pain at all.

I can only manage 2 or 3 hours at best using an APEX before my body gives out. I’ve had no problems banging out 10 hour testing sessions with a NEXUS. The only reason I need to stop is to recharge the controller (it also works fine over USB, just use a quality, lightweight cable like UGREEN).

I will repeat that I absolutely suck with a controller, but I am good with a NEXUS. Not top of the leaderboard battle royale good, but that’s a factor of age, time and experience rather than a limitation of the device.

I have spent 40 years on mouse & keyboard, almost no time playing shooters with a console controller (I can’t hit the side of a bus) and only months on a NEXUS, but I am already good enough to at least compete with controller users.

For me, NEXUS has been transformative and has come at exactly the right time. I can spend much more time doing what I love than my ageing joints will otherwise allow. And I can play with my kids on the couch without totally embarrassing myself :)

Hey antithesis, I'm 43 year old man coming from PC in the past and i totally suck with controllers so XIM has been always my perfect solution for years. Actually i play NAV with mouse and XIM APEX. I'm really interested in your opinion comparing the two experiences as im worried about losing efficiency if i change to Nexus compared to mouse and keyboard/NAV.

Do you think we can be as good and precise using Nexus in FPS games?

Can you tell us the pros and cons between the two Worlds from the perspective of a mkb user not experienced with controller?

I know Nexus will be amazing for those users that are already experienced and are good with controllers but im worried in our case. I ask this because i like the concept and ergonomics of the Nexus but i have doubts coming from mkb for so many years.

Thanks for your answers and congratulations to the whole XIM team for the NEXUS, it seems an amazing and innovative product.

So I wanted to give an update.. I have download two additional games, Fortnite and Call of Duty. I have this same setup below running on all games with not one crash. I played over 4 hours yesterday on Destiny 2, no issues. Played over 3 hours Call of Duty, and today over 4 hours of Fortnite. Also change to my K70 MK.2 keyboard.
Apex Manager: 5.00.20201011
Apex Firmware: 5.00.20201215
Xbox Series X OS Ver. 10.0.1941.5495 (rs_xbox_release_2011.201209-2330)
Shell Ver. 2011.0.2012.5001
Xbox Series X Controller Firmware: 5.5.2641.0
Keyboard: Corsair K70 mk.2 at Poll Rate 1K
Mouse: Hero G502 16k_DPI 1K Poll Rate

Little back ground before, I was having hard crashes! I could not play more than 20 minutes without a crash where my Xbox SX would just turn off. Originally to fix this I started to using an Xbox One controller and it fixed it. Now,  after applying the following updates from Xbox Insider and the latest Xim Apex Beta I have not had any issues with crashes while using Xbox SX controller and Xim Apex.

Thanks for this detail -- to confirm, your APEX is running at 1000Hz too?
Just wanted to say that I did the same thing and downloaded the update from the insider program and it appears to have solved it for me as well. I've played for about 3 hours tonight using a new Series X controller and not a single system crash. I did all of the above and my XIM Apex is running at 1000Hz.

Yesss problem solved updating System from insider program and will be implemented later for people not in the program.

I'm very happy now.

Ok i have updated Os System from Xbox Insider and have been playing 4 hours in cold war without a shutdown. These are very good news so it should not be a fw issue with XIM and Xbox Series X controller.

https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/12/11/xbox-insider-release-notes-omega-2011-201209-2330/

Check out this last update that include additional fixes to the shutdown issues, these changes are not implemented if you are not insider but will do later for general public updates.

Will continue testing games.

For those who switched from a Series X controller and to an Xbox One controller and it stopped the crashes. Please continue to use your Xbox One controller on the latest Beta and let us know if it continues to happen.

Also, if you are/were using a Series X controller and things are crashing, can you tell us what XIM Response Rate you are using?

Using Series X controller (dont have an xbox one) still crashing in Series X and always totally random shutdowns, in some times i can play a bit more but almost every day i have one or two specially in some games and not happening in others. One thing i noticed is - prior to the shutdown - i get 2-3 seconds xim like looping and not responding, making character moving in only 1 direction (like the last direction remembered when synced) then i get the shutdown. Like a brief disconnection/interrumption before the shutdown.

I think its some kind of strange conflict with the beta fw and the way it communicates with new controller, playing a few hours with only new controller doesnt shutdown the console for me.

I'm using latest xim apex beta, everything updated (xbox series x system and new controller updated too). Im using as always 1000Hz and default sync. Also tried the previous beta, still crashing.

Thank you

Did a downgrade to the previous beta playing cold war and console is shuttng down after 30 min. Its not beta version related. Maybe its about new controller and something failing with beta version. Please look at this.

Thanks

The previous Beta version (specifically the one linked above) makes things act like an Xbox One controller. Do you have an Xbox One controller you can try? It would be interesting to know if you still see the problem in CW.

I dont have an Xbox One controller im new on the Xbox universe, always played in playstation. One strange thing i noticed is almost all the shutdowns were from games like Gears 5 and Black ops cold war both enhanced versions for xbox series x. I have been playing modern warfare for 3 hours without any problem. Im sure i can't play those 2 games more than 2-3 hours without at least one shutdown (specially CW).

Will buy an xbox one controller if necessary but these random shutdowns are very annoying

Also i will try to play with only controller both games to see what happens.

Thanks and keep up the good work
