Yes I always keep my TV on game mode. But this isnít a malfunction issue. The mouse is laggy for certain games and not with others. I can feel the delay in all games but some games itís so little that I can play them like Fortnite and Apex Legends.... and other games I cannot play like Halo and COD war zone. The mouse is just way to much of a delay. I canít figure it out ...

Using a G502 16,000 dpi
Keyboard is Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 low profile mechanical
Using the USB hub that comes with the XIM Apex and I even bought the power adapter to give the USB hub extra power.
My TV has the lowest latency of 6.9ms as it is an LG C9 OLED.
Some games are worse than other with the mouse lag. Not sure if the keyboard movement is affect as much as the mouse is way more noticeable. The delay is also bad for Call of Duty War Zone. Unplayable. Fortnite seems just fine and so does the new Apex Legends smart translators that came out recently. There is still a delay but itís minimal. Halo and COD are really bad though

Technical Support / [RESOLVED] Huge delay for Halo MCC

Trying to play Halo MCC CE anniversary.
Mouse delay is very bad. The game is unplayable with this mouse lag.
Using a G502 dpi set to highest (16,000) poll rate at 1000.. XIM apex.
Game setting are what the XIM forum suggested of course.
Iíve noticed this delay is more or less depending on the game. For example Call of duty war zone is really bad as well. How can I fix this mouse lag?

I am using a 10 foot cable.... not much lag from that.. lol

Ok. I just thought using a repeater USB cable would help give it more power but I have a friend that said it might add lag. Maybe itís better if I just use a passive cable then. And I do use power for my hub. I got a power adapter from amazon and use the hub that came with my XIM Apex... I suppose a passive cable might be better to use as my USB...

XIM APEX Discussions / USB extension cable question
« on: 01:31 AM - 12/05/19 »
If I use a USB extension cable thatís is a ďRepeater cableĒ will that add any latency to the Xim Apex??? Or is is better to use because it amplifies the signal??? Or is just a regular extension cable better to use???

This keyboard always worked fine. I would plug it in and the colors I set it to stayed on. All of sudden 6 months ago it doesnít work anymore. Only works in bios mode which is just red Keyes with the WSAD being white.... totally retarded.... I have no idea why this started happening all of a sudden.

Game Support / Re: Is Apex Legends getting retrained?

I just wanted to bring to everyoneís attention something that I think may or may not help some people. I have two Xim Apexís and I happened to be playing on one that had firmware on it designed for Fortnite during that time in October when Epic was banning xims.
After down loading AL confit on THAT Xim I had serious mouse lag issues. The mouse was so laggy/draggy I couldnít keep my aim on targets fast enough. I tried moving to 1000 polling rate and it didnít help. Iím using a G502 on 12k dpi. I suspected it was the different firmware that could be causing an issue so I connected my other Xim Apex that has older firmware (non specific to Fortnite) and the lagginess was completely fixed! I have read this entire thread from beginning to end and all Iím trying to do now is figure out if the AA on 7,7 is actually helpful or not.
After this fix it feels so much closer to PC to me I am very happy with it. Just need to experiment with different dpi setting maybe and also the in game sensitivity (8,8/7,7).
I donít remember which firmware build is on my non Fortnite Xim but I wanted to put this out there Incase it could help anyone. There was a very serious HUGE difference.

Feels to my about 98% close to PC feel. IMO.... nice @#$% job. I clicked this thread because I had a serious problem I thought here might be info to fix it but all along it was firmware. If a moderator says I am wrong I would be happy to mail you both Xims and you can see for yourself. I have bought 4 Xim Apexes so far lol. Two for me and two for a couple friends of mine. One of whom is not using theirs atm I may ask for it back Incase you think Iím crazy and want to see for yourself. There truly is a difference in each Xim how the firmware acted differently for this game and Iím sure other games may be effected as well.

If anyone has any tweaks for me and my G502 (12k max) mouse to get even better aim or feel with it you can send me a PM I would appreciate it.
Sorry for the long post. Happy aiming.... I mean gaming ;D

Beta / Re: XIM APEX BETA [Firmware 20181019] (**LATEST**)
« on: 06:57 PM - 10/19/18 »
2 questions.
1. this beta firmware only affects the Fortnite profiles/setting?
2. Why do you want to make this type of firmware apply to all other games for the future? in case game makers do this kind of stuff to us on other games in the future?

Also I have 2 XIM Apexs. I've been using one just for fortnite because i didn't want any of my other profiles to be affected. maybe i dont need to do this.

I am extremely confused about something. Are we supposed to re-download a Fortnite profile as a new one??? I downloaded a new fortnite profile cause I wanted to have setting different on them and the old one I had on the xim seems very bad. The aiming is not good at all and the sensitivity between the two are a huge difference apart to achieve the same aim speed. whats going on here???

OBSIV.... truly you have a heart...
Thanks for all you have done!

Quick update... using G502 I have not seen any issues with this build.(1016)
I did turn down my dpi to 4000 as my main and have my dpi shif at 15. Wow what a difference. No more jitters!!! Nice and smoothe!!!

One question do I have to use ďcombat proĒ as my controls??? Wonít builder pro work the same for aiming??? Thanks....

XIM APEX Discussions / Re: 12000 DPI Vs 3200 DPI
« on: 11:21 AM - 10/17/18 »
On Xim Apex, you can pretty much run the full DPI gamette from 400 to 16K DPI if using a higher response rate than 125Hz. The DPI value itself is less important than the quality of the mouse sensor.

Typically, you'd want an Optical sensor from Pixart (3310, 3360 series), or Logitech's Hero sensor that you find in almost all gaming mice from the last 2-3 years because they're considered native at all resolutions. You don't want a cheap office mouse with a max of 400 or 800 DPI because it will perform very poorly for gaming, but a 12K or 16K gaming mouse won't have any problems using a lower DPI.

The things to look out for are jitter at very high DPI and stutter at very low DPI. That's why we tend to recommend from 3-4K DPI as a happy medium where you're unlikely to experience mouse sensor issues.

To add to that, DPI can affect a game's aim assist. High DPI makes it easier to cut through AA into the hitbox, low DPI makes AA feel stickier, but at the risk of being stuck outside the hitbox. It's a personal preference whether you prefer more or less AA.

I just wanted to thank you for all your input you do in these forums. You and the other MVPs and moderators. You all really care about helping people. Thatís rare.
I too have been having issues with sniping weapons in Fortnite. Mouse jitters around when trying to zoom in on people far as they are so small. Canít get it to be smoothe. I will play around with my g502 dpi and see if I can get it steadier. Thanks for the great advice....

wow I feel like this is just going to be an "epic" battle of coding. you create firmware and they create a counter to it.....over and over again.... Epic stopped caring about gamers since unreal 2004 came out and just made engines to make money and now all of a sudden they are the SJWs of shooters?? ????? I guess people with disabilities dont matter to them....

I will install build 1016 and give feed back. Im glad that are so many different builds to go back to just in case too. Thank you OBSV for your hard work and diligence in dealing with this. We all see who really cares about gamers...

Beta / Re: XIM APEX BETA [Firmware 20181014] (**LATEST**)

I was kicked last night with build 11. Installed build 14 played 2 games and was not kicked. however the aiming doesnt feel smoothe. I am using G502. If anyone has suggestions how to fix aiming issues let me know. I know some people have already got a good setting with the g502 so maybe someone can suggest what to put in ballistics curve or smoothing rate. thanks....
