I have the 007, I am not at home but I'll confirm that for you.  ...
I will confirm this info for you and post my serial number when I get home.

So did you get a chance to confirm that MS controller serial # ?

And to answer your question,  I map lots of buttons to the mouse.
And sometimes, depending on the game, I'll use a programmable Logitech gamepad (instead of keyboard)

that would be great!   I actually use a controller (instead of keyboard) in my left hand and a mouse in my right hand.   I'm currently using the GameStop brand , but I like the MS controller better.

Support / Anyone using controller model # X803238-007 ?

Does the official MS controller model # X803238-007 work w/ the XFPS sniper?

I know the newer # X811616-005 does NOT.

Afaik you could map those buttons to normal keyboard keys with the logitech software. Like mapping + to L and then using L.

oh, i thought using the Logitech SetPoint software conflicted with XIM software

I tried using the MouseAux(#) commands - no go.

When I push these buttons the mouse DPI changes,  but I'd like to map them to controller buttons.

The other buttons (left, right, scrolls, forward, back) map fine though.

Thanks in advance.

Or if you don't like used just log on to NewEgg and order some older parts and build one. I think im going to do that. Something small that just Runs XIM. . . Couldn't cost much i'd say 500-700 tops and that even pushing it. . .

even cheaper: http://paulstamatiou.com/2008/01/25/diy-200-dollar-pc

Come to think about it, I think I got the mapping backwards (not in the tool, but, in the firmware). You should double check. Try changing that to "LeftStick".

Yep, that's what it was!   I swapped the commands and all is good now. Excellent!

I'll post my Bioshock configuration as soon as i get it tweaked.

Thanks for the help.

Hmmm, i might have Setpoint running (i'll check when i get home)

Thanks for the info!

Thing is, BioShock is the only game that stick button presses aren't mapping.

Yes, please try it out in another game. The locations of the sticks in the bit fields passed the XFPS aren't such that I'd be suspicious of data corruption.

The results are in ... The stick button assignments worked fine in other games.  ???

Still not working for BioShock (toggle crouch & toggle zoom) This is crazy.
If someone has BioShock, can you please see if you can successfully crouch (left stick press mapping)

thanks (again) for reading.

About the little black wheel: ....

So it dosen't matter that i moved that wheel all around while assembling?   ::)

So for troubleshooting, anyone know of a demo game i can D/L that has stick-pressing as a feature?

yes, the start and back buttons map fine ....

hmmm, could it be the game itself? (Bioshock)   maybe if i test stick-button-pressing in another game it'll help troubleshoot ...

do you know of any demos i could download that feature stick button pressing?

another question:
what does that little black rotating wheel do on the toolstick?

...If you use the XAE-ME software you should be able to choose that gamepad as an input.

Hmmm, i'm confused... you mean w/ XAE-ME i won't need the Logitech gamepad's software to be running then?

Right now my procedure is:
1. i assign the xbox360 controller buttons to keyboard strokes with the XIM profile
2. then i open the Logitech gamepad software and map it's buttons to the keyboard keys i assigned in step 1.

Is this the only way to use a gamepad instead of keyboard (WASD) ?
Thanks lots for helping!
