Hardware Compatbility / Bcon wearable gaming , perfect to use with Nav

Just discovered this last night. I don't know why I never heard of it till now. If it works with Apex, it would be perfect to use with Nav as extra inputs. I picture strappin it on the hand that is holding the Nav and rotate or flex the hand to trigger extra inputs. Perfect for leaning in RB6 Siege or other games. It uses bluetooth. I'm hoping it works with Apex.

Heads up! Swiftpoint Z is on sale on Amazon.com for 99.00 - although it will be several weeks before they ship. I think they are out of stock. It is ships and sold by amazon not by third party seller. I just made an order for it. I have always wanted to check this mouse out but not for 230.00

XIM 4 Discussions / Xim4 Manager for android

Is there anywhere here that I can get the latest Xim4 manager for andoid in .apk? I need to side load  on an old tablet that has no access to google play. I'm not sure about trusting the various sites on the net that apparently have the xim4 manager apk.

Hardware Compatibility / New Elecom Huge Trackball works on Xim4.

Greetings!

I Just received my wireless Elecom Huge HT1DRBk Trackball and tested it on my XiM4. It works great - it is detected as a standard 5 button trackball with scroll. It has more buttons but it would have to be remapped and used via sandhawc. There is no onboard memory. This has a selectable dpi from 500-1000-1500. This thing is very smooth. At the highest dpi of 1500 - it rivaled maybe even surpased my CST trackball with redesigned rollers at 3200dpi in terms of smoothness and speed. I was able to spin the ball once to do a quick 180 in Destiny - the same distance with my CST. I can keep spinning round and round just by rolling the ball easily.

Because of button placements and being so used to my CST - its gonna take sometime o get used to it. The ball measures 52mm.Just 5mm smaller from standard pool ball used in CST.

Game Support / Desu Ex Mankind Divided stick turn speed.

Hello fellow Ximmers, I am interested in getting Deus Ex MD on the next Xbox One sale. For those who have it, does it have a faster stick turn speed than the X360 Human Revolution? If Mankind Divided is on par with Destiny or Doom turn speed then that works for me. What would you compare the speed of Mankind Divided to?  I have the X360 Human Revolution and the speed is too slow - so I just play it on PC. I don't have a good video card now so PC version of Mankind Divided is off the table for now - is why I wanted to try out the Xbox One.  The same goes for Dishonred 2 - I assume its similar to Dishonored in terms of speed - which is good.  Thanks.

XIM 4 Discussions / My XiM4 Setup with picture

Just got my XiM 4 a few weeks a go - I live in Greater Toronto Area - I was surprised with the 29.00 customs charges - thought it would be 20.00 or less. Nevertheless its here and works great. I'm probably one of the few with unique setups. Everything I have works perfectly - considering  I am using an old PS/2 style KVM which all my devices are hooked to.

I am using a TEK keyboard and CST LtracX trackball.  For the XiM4 manager, I am using the HP Touchpad with Cyanogenmod.

I don't have a XBox One or PS4 yet. So far everything works on my X360 and PS3. I assume its safe to assume that It'll be trouble free when I get my next gen systems in the future.

Time to retire the my XiM3's

XIM EDGE Discussions / Xim Edge for sale already? How did I miss that?

I'm a proud happy owner of 2 Xim3's and frequent the Xim3 forums  a lot. I was contemplating on picking up Xim Edge when it comes out. I would sometimes browse through the Edge forums and see people discussing their Edges - I always thought they were beta testing some test units. I was oblivious to the fact there was many people discussing it. Out of the blue I checked the SHOP and the Edge says In Stock.

How in the world did I miss that!! When Xim3 was released I was like " lined up at the door" already - one of the early people to get it. So when did Edge start selling? Did I miss some big announcement or something?

Configurations and Requests / Single Smart Translators

I'm not sure if it has been asked before - but I couldn't find anything. Anyhow - can Translators  that have both ADS and HIP ST be installed separately? I have Ghost Recon , BF3 COD MW2 and Max Payne ST on my XIm3 - now thats a total of 8 ST's already. I tend to only use the ADS ST's as its more responsive for me when I use my CST LtracX trackball. The HiP ST's are just sitting there not being used. Their space could be utilized by other game ST's I might wanna play.

When using Ximmanager  - is there some option I missed to select the exact ST I want rather than the "GAME" ST which is bundled with 2.

XIM 3 Discussions / My new Trackball LaserTRACX (L-TRACX) 2545-5XW Trackball

I just got my new trackball - I'm so excited - wanted my fellow Ximmers who uses trackball to know about this. I have 2  Xim3's which I use for  offline gaming - no online. I game with trackball - namely the Kensington Expert Trackball. Its the only type of control I'm very much used to. Blame it on muscle memory.

The kensington trackball has low dpi probably around 400. It worked decently for games until I came across some games like Syndicate and Deus EX - which have their own ST - Even then it was slow no matter how much I adjust sensitivity. SO I tried a higher dpi mouse - and it works great - able to play properly - but wasnt comfortable for me.

With higher DPI in mind I came across LaserTRACX (L-TRACX) 2545-5XW Trackball - it allows to change from 800 -1600-2400-3200 dpi via button presses. It was expensive but very much worth it for me. Wow - it made a tremendous difference - I was able to enjoy the games more with higher DPI. Even some games I couldn't play correctly like - Fallout Vegas . Its just my fingers that move the ball - and I can spin it to turn quickly (depending on the game) - Right now I'm just playing some Specs Ops the Line Demo.

XIM 3 Discussions / Bricked!...

...NOT .. Nearly crapped my pants when I got red screened and couldn't - get the screen back. What happened was,  I was excited with the new firmware - and read all the notes regarding it. I use a Kensington Trackball - which had problems with the last latest firmware  - so I 've been using the older Flash Drop 20110202-BETA.

I update to 320 - problems with Kensington Trackball  still - so I downgrade back to Flash Drop 20110202-BETA. I plug it back to Xbox - whammo!! Red Screened!! I thought - oh no worries - I can just reflash and press the reset button on the side. Uh Oh its not working - plugged it back to PC - not being recognized and still Red Screened. At this point I'm thinking RMA - and my brother already got his order in for a new XIM3. Suddenly with a combination of pressing the reset button and plugging/unplugging on the PC - I got the USB screen on my XiM - and finally was able to reflash it back to Flash Drop 20110202-BETA.

So 320 does not work for me - either I change mouse or stick with Flash Drop 20110202-BETA and still be able to use my trackball and wait - its BETA after all.

XIM 3 Discussions / Can I flash back to initial-release (GOLD) firmware?

Just got my Xim3 last night - many thanks Obsiv. Now I'm not much into COD and BO or Halo and I don't play online. I ordered Xim3 to have the joy of using kb/m on single player games  I wanted to play - namely RDR and some other shooters. I use a Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball and it works well FOR ME. I started playing RDR withiout updating to the current flashdrop beta  - just to get familliar with the XIM. It works AMAZINGLY, played several hours on my trackball and standard keyboard - I thought I was PC gaming.

I decided to update to current flashdrop beta. and install the updated translators. Now my trackball does not respond properly. I readjusted and reset my settings and still the same. I used another mouse and it seems to work. The link to the  initial-release (GOLD) firmware seems to be offline. If its still possible to use  initial-release (GOLD) firmware - I would like to try it again and isolate the problem with my trackball. I dont want to use any other mouse - the trackball is what I'm most comfortable with.
