Support / Question for OBsIV.
« on: 05:06 PM - 03/08/11 »
I am enjoying this User's Guide I am making and plan to maintain it. But,... I want to make it flash. All interactive with a main menu. I'll upload an image of what I picture now. (I'll draw it out in Photoshop.) I have massive amounts of experience in flash. (Even back when it was Macromedia,.. Before stupid Adobe.)

A user can visit the User's Guide. Click the action they want to perform. And watch a step by step "Slide show" of it being performed. Sound and animations! Oh man it would be sweet. But only better if it had it's own place on the web site... But by no means does that have to be the only place for it. I can attach it to an email. Have it put into one of the site's directories and have you guys enable the "Insert Flash" feature. Then post it into my guide I am working on.....

Just an idea... But then again so was the XIM right?

Just letting you know that my XIM3 arrived today, though it was short a screw, I'm sure it's no big deal. Maybe I can get one to fit from somewhere... Someone trying to save on shipping? Would it have push the weight to 0.9 pounds? lol jk.

But, so far so good, no issues. Thanks OBsIV!

Heehee, even though I have my XIM3 on the way in the mail, I am happy that all the people that work days will have a chance at getting a XIM.

Even more of a reason to buy OBsIV a drink. Or like beverage/meal.

Found a small mishap in the store URL: http://store.xim3.com/XIM3_p_8.html

At the Order Tracking window the URL: https://store.xim3.com/shiptracking.asp?trackingnumber=XXXXXXXXXXXXX

When you click on the "Track on Fedex.com" it brings you to the site but with a broken URL.

Location: Line 127 Column 41 the URL starts as follows.

Code: [Select]
<A href="http://fedex.com/Tracking?action=track&language=english&cntry_code=us&initial=x&tracknumbersXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" target="_blank"> Track on Fedex.com</a>

The link should be:

Code: [Select]
<A href="http://fedex.com/Tracking?action=track&language=english&cntry_code=us&initial=x&tracknumbers=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" target="_blank"> Track on Fedex.com</a>
With an ( = ) between tracknumber and the tracking number.

action=track&language=english&cntry_code=us&initial=x&tracknumbers=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

This is what it is now:

action=track&language=english&cntry_code=us&initial=x&tracknumbersXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

XIM 3 Discussions / Loads off my shoulders.

So, I forced my girlfriend to buy me a XIM3 today. And it worked. She had about 3 hours between her morning and afternoon class. Right when the XIM store was being opened.

XIM 3 Discussions / Well,..
« on: 06:16 PM - 02/17/11 »
I'm getting tired of this. No hope for those that work daytime. Multiple times I have seen people request for the store to open later in the day. So that people working can grab a XIM up when they get home after work. But time and time again the store opens in the morning. Before noon even.

I have seen really good customer support but this certain subject seems to be over looked quite frequently. At least tell us why the store won't open later in the day. Maybe you want orders to ship when the postal service is available. As to not have to wait till the next day. And now that stock has dwindled, I don't see anything picking up. Could Amazon.com offer you better selling options? You can ship the product to Amazon and they will pick and ship them when ordered. No hassle on you. Link here. I'll pay anything up to $200 for one it's self so increasing the cost to cover overhead wouldn't be an issue with me.

Please OBsIV, shed some light for us working folk, (Not that others don't work or are anything less than phenomenal people.) and give us a shot at your product.

Could you open the store up for the people that cannot access the web during the day? Like have two launches, one early and one later in the evening. I get off at 4:30 Central and don't get home till about 5:45-6:00 on most nights.

Payday has come and gone. I'm am anticipating the email telling me that the XIM3 is now available for purchase.

In my free time I like to refurbish iPhones. It's my newly obtained hobby. I purchase one for cheap, usually $30-$50 bucks, buy all new parts for it. Box it up and resell it for $150-$250. My profits are around $50-$150 each. Parts usually run about $90 bucks depending on it's initial quality. Thats new everything. So it's nice and shiny/scratch free.

What do you do in your free time that will immediately be replaced with gaming with your XIM3? When it comes out that is.

I was overly obsessed with World of Warcraft. Spending 12 hours a week playing. I was end game with tons of achievements under my belt. But I felt I gave the game too much credit. I had a lot of friends and knew them all on a very personal level. With a game so immersive, it was hard to pull away. A few times I thought about playing again. It got to the point where I was going to sell my computer so I wouldn't get back on WoW. I was addicted.

With four years spent playing that game, I decided I needed to play a different game. I purchased Need For Speed and started racing cars around, but I wanted the interaction with people online while playing. Again I thought about playing WoW. I was fighting myself to stay clear of it. I built my computer specifically for WoW. 8GB of RAM, Core 2 Duo @ 3GHz, EVGA 790i SLi FTW board and some kickin @#$% EVGA cards to go along with it. I put all of that into a Coolmaster HAF case. Purchased me a 28' I-INC HD monitor and played WoW on it.

I didn't want to get rid of it and Need For Speed was to childish, I purchased Call of Duty 4. Made my way up to get all of my weapons, gold guns and camo. After beating that I started playing MW2. Doing the same. 9th prestige, fall camos unlocked for most of my guns. But I still felt the urge. I then purchased an Xbox 360. Got Call of Duty MW2 and started playing. I couldn't get the same 50-0 average KD ratio with Xbox that I Got with PC. I wanted to go back to PC again but I knew I would feel the urge.

I did some research, Found the XIM site when the XIM2 was still available. Talks about the XIM3 had just started. I bookmarked the site and checked back from time to time. I read about the smart translators and got excited about the XIM3 enough that I signed up to the email list. Checking back from time to time, I started seeing the what I would assume alpha stages of the XIM. That small screen with a vivid XIM3 logo on it made my day.

The urges started again. I wanted to play World of Warcraft. But I knew that it would be a bad idea. My KD ratios on MW2 and now somewhat Black Ops were in the hole. And then I remembered. The XIM3. I dug through my bookmarks till I found it. And what I saw was amazing. Enough so that I sold my gaming PC. Knowing that the XIM3 would solve my KD ratio problems and make selling my computer an issue with facebook rather than my need to kill pixels online. I purchased a laptop and 32 inch LCD with the funds. Sold my arcade and got an elite. I am ready.

My logitech G500 has issues clicking. Clicks like 5-6 times with one press. At a very rapid pace. Great combined with a Fal and the awesome XIM3. And my G15 beckons use.

Now all I need is my XIM3,.....................

Lets go peoples. Bring it on. My wallet is out. My card will eat anything less than or equal to my $500 limit.
