Maybe someone bought this game for $5 like me? Config please. I guess I will learn how to make one.

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if any of you found a better way to use both XIM1 and XIM2 off the same PC. I think derek or nick or someone said the only way at the moment is to use XIM2 software on one OS, and XIM1 software on another OS. Thats a pain to boot back and forth vista and xp just to play PS3 or xbox.

Configurations and Requests / Configs for Monitor vs TV
« on: 02:41 AM - 10/18/08 »
Hey guys,
I does it feel any different playing on a monitor vs LCD big screen TV to you guys? I do worse on my TV, it feels like the aiming is very discordinated do to the widescreen. Any tips, I am using different configs at different locations right now(Left my flash drive elsewhere), could that be an issue? It just feels sort of like I even maybe giving it a comand and there is a little lag or disturbance in the interpretation/movement. It feels a little akward. All this I mean on the TV not the Monitor. ITs 24 inch monitor vs 52 inch TV.

UPDATE AFTER LIKE A FEW WEEKS!:
Hey guys thanks for all the advice, and random off topic stuff. I think nicks saying about distance from TV at a 3x ratio is the correct answer to the akward feeling. The feeling almost makes me feel sick. Is there any way to fix my config for a certain distance? Thats the $1K question.

BTW: 120hz is worth it. With a POS console that plays its games at 30 fps, anything fast paced like COD4 or UT3 needs to be at a high steady framrate. Both my custom made 24 inch monitor and my professional grade 52inch samsung have it and I cant stand a console game without it. I warn you, if your frame rate drops below i think 25 fps then it will do nothing on the framrate and it will be a huge jump from what seems like 60 fps down to like 15(only seen in GOW1, a game that was too much for the xbox).

A lot of people have asked me about my lag and connection. Before a while ago I never realized that my internet delivermy method was causing my lag.

Hey uber,
Is lag really an issue for COD5? Is it worse than COD4? Because at cod4 i never get 4 bars here and always have atleast .5 second bullet lag, even as bad as 3 seconds. I might not get it if it is worse.

It's about the same as with cod 4.  Never heard of a 3 second lag.  Is your internet connection on your PC fine though?  Are you sure it's not something else other than the 360?  I know that when I host a game, and there is no lag, I snipe like a mad man, and usually, I get full bars and I do ok with other people hosting as well.  It stands to reason that larger games (with more people) are going to have more lag when the games are hosted on someone else's 360.  In cod 4, ffa is max 8 people.  In cod5, it's max 12, so you'd think the possibility of more lag is there.  No matter what though, it's not as bad as playing with lag in cod 3.  Plus, there is supposed to be an "anti-lag" thing on the 360.  So if you shoot someone, they should die, even if it's a little behind.  Sounds like what you're describing as "bullet lag".  But, the auto-aim assist should help with that some I guess somehow.  I don't know the full mechanics of it.

I wouldn't recommend you skip this game because of lag though.  It's alot of fun messing with the new perks and new weapons.  And there are a ton more in the full version.

Yea, my internet story is a long one. Well, here at my dorm:
1. My friend down the street(about 900 feet) has DSL at 5.1 mbps down and .8 mbps up. at his buisness.
2. I want this, since my school has a restricted slow line split up between 200 people.
3. 1st from his modem is 1 linksys router which splits it up 3 ways, one way to a wireless router.
4. From this wireless router's ethernet out, it goesinto a Powerline Internet adapter(internet sent shittly through your powerlines). This gets a lot of interfearence when electricity is being used.
5. This comes out in his back storage rooom across the building on the first floor. This goes out through a gap in his ceiling/wall(with a 300 foot ethernet cord, weights like 20 lbs), up 4! stories and into his backdoor on the 4th floor which goes into his woods area on a plataue(sounds weird).
6. Inside it goes into a wireless g router(again) which makes wifi.
7. This wifi goes out to an omni directional antenna which sits on his roof.
8. Me from my window room looking downtown points my Cantenna(focused wifi antenna) at the omni direction antenna(which ofcourse is behind some tree foilage).
9. This cantenna then connects to a wireless bridge which turns the wifi into an ethernet out solid line.
10. Now, this goes into a @#$% $15 newegg trendnet router.
11. Finally, it goes to my xbox, ps3, and laptop(hooked up to my monitor).

I wonder where something could go wrong in that mess. At day time(store hours, burnign electricity), I get 1.6 m bps down, and 650 up. At nighttime(after 6) I get 5.1 mbps down and 650 up. My pingtest to the main modem, is 10ms itself at the best(with usually no packetloss). All that lag mainly comes from the powerline adapter, not the routers or wifi. Although, my pingtest to xboxlive.com.au is always between 60-75ms. I still manage to get 4 bars sometimes somehow, but even when I do I still get bullet lag. At 3 bars usually, and have .5 sec to 3 sec bullet lag. Every now and then someone in arkansas will be host and I get about .2 sec bullet lag, which is perfect for me here. You must imagine how happy I am when I go home to my main connection at 26 mbps down and 6.5 mbps up. Well I did all this just to play xbox live at the 27/30 days in a month I am at school. Now you know how much one loves FPS's.

« on: 01:55 AM - 10/11/08 »

BTW: Just throwing this out here, does anyone want to buy an XIM2 for $600? Lol thats how much I need to buy a VSS Vintorez in 9mm!

« on: 09:06 PM - 10/07/08 »
Hey guys,
I solved my problem after all my configs got deleted. I was wondering why I could just never get them right. I was using my old calibration file. Ends up that some how the calibration changed, by some amount! After recalibrating everythign worked perfectly after I got sensitiviies readjusted. So you may want to calibrate every now and then. Tell me if I am wrong XIM2 makers. Mine might just be a freak XIM2.

Hey guys,
I just got my XIM1 in today. I was wondering, how do you use both at the same time. I installed the XIM1 and it started reading my XIM2 files when I went to play XBOX. XIM360 would open up, only XIM1 would. Also, it wouldnt recognize my XIM1. It may be because my adapter for ps2 to ps3 isnt compatible. Anytips?

XIM 2 Discussions / XIM2 very jittery?
« on: 02:41 PM - 09/17/08 »
Hey everyone,
I am just messign around with my XIM2 and I just cant get the settings right. My controls right now feel worse than the XFPS. I dont know if its logitech set point or what(1000 updates per second at 1600 dpi). Whenever I move in COD4(aim) even in a perfect straight horizontal line it always seems to shift a little down. Then when I try to push it up its like its on a low sensativity. Like Y down is higher than Y up? Any help, it feels horrible right now.

Xbox / GOW2 performance?
« on: 11:00 PM - 09/14/08 »
Hey guys,
Have you seen the Gears of War 2 footage? You see how it runs all smooth at like a constant 45-60 frames? The first one on 720/1080 ran at like 10 fps! IT SUCKS! especially online. You think they fixed the onlien host advantage and lag too? Do you guys think that all those videos are just off the PC Unreal engine or do you think its running on an xbox that well. I think I might need my 120hz upscaler TV to play this one smoothly. Finally, you think the XIM2 will handle it perfectly with GOW1 controls? I have no idea how to configure that crap.

XIM 1 Discussions / How much is an XIM1?
« on: 06:04 PM - 09/12/08 »
How much is an XIM1 from Derek or you guys at the XIM360 forums? I thought it would be good to help you guys out by buying form you rather than some ebay guy. You guys deserve the money that comes out of it. Who do I talk to for an XIM1?, is the question. I need it preflashed, and ready to go.
