Obsiv - it looks like when I create a Halo Infinite ST for Xbox Series - it is missing all of the bindings in the end and I have to add them all in, and it looks like it defaults all new bindings to the first group automatically instead of nothing.

2
I was wondering if anyone is using a ST that works ok with Elder Ring with the Nexus while we wait for Elder Ring to be trained? Anyone successfully utilize a ST with Nexus?

3
ObsIV - I have been using the Horizon Zero Dawn ST for my Nexus for the PC version of this game and when you make very small motion control movements using ADS it doesn't seem to register until you move a bit, and it jumps a bit on any of the smoothing's (prefer Twitch). I used the stick, and it seems like the Dead zone for the stick is higher on ADS or something because I had to make a Motion Curve that moves up higher at the start to get it to register but it still jumps a bit. I am assuming this is the game and how it handles ADS aiming to make the stick move slower, but it is odd with motion control that you have to exert enough motion to get it to move smoother.

Now I am aware this may also simply be the PC version running a higher frame rate than the ST was trained at (I am assuming it was made at 30 FPS on the PlayStation), but I am assuming you will have the same issue on a PlayStation playing this game. Can anyone confirm what is happening to me using the Nexus?

ObsIV or anyone using it for some time - can you break down the purpose of the Motion Smoothing settings? I get Starter and Heavy - it's really heavy and slow and a mass amount of easing. But I am struggling to understand the differences between Balanced, Twitchy and Focused.

Twitchy seems to have very little easing and gives you more control over the motion of the controller but Balanced and Focused seem very similar.

Can someone break down why you would use each of these standard Motion Smoothing settings for what purposes and what they provide over the other smoothing settings.

I have purchased pretty much every XIM you have released and this will be no exception. I have recently been wishing that I had the compactness of a Controller with ease of button use and play (without all of the hassle of multiple mapping for things), and the ability to fine tune aims better than I can with a controller stick. I am not terrible with a controller, but I a not great either. I use my XIM in several cases but having to pull out everything can sometimes be a hassle and sometimes I am just plain lazy. This seems to fit the need of my recent thoughts. Of course, I can see a big learning curve since I dont really use Gyro to aim and had issues with it with Zelda BOTW in some cases (couldnt really fine tune movements in that game).

Really looking forward to this, because I see this as an additional way to play and not necessarily replacing my XIM APEX personally. I will probably continue to use both unless I get as good as the videos posted then maybe I wont use my XIM APEX as much.

One comment I have and is probably to late for is have you given thoughts on adding 2 extra mappable buttons next to the triggers and shoulder buttons like the Wolverine Ultimate? I find the 6 mappable buttons extremely useful because I Dont like to click in my sticks for input because it wears out the sticks more (and can cause more stick drift long term) and also I feel like it will cause you to move the gyro more to push it in when that might not be the intent. I map all 6 extra buttons on the Wolverine to A, B, X, Y and the stick pushes so I dont have to push in the sticks and I have found it preserves my controller longer.

Just a suggestion

Xim Apex was working fine for 2 weeks and now it wont recognize my Keyboard and mouse. There are no icons on the top of the Manager that show anything is connected to it but the Hub that came with it is powered white lite and my wired controller is getting power (no batteries in it). I cannot seem to get it to recognize anything connected to it. I believe my Xim Apex is going out.

I was wondering how many Crysis 2 Xbox players we have here so we can get a group going for multiplayer soon, seeing as the Crysis 2 ST will be out some time this week.

Anyone interested?

Smart Translators / Dead Space 2 smart trans?
« on: 01:06 PM - 02/26/11 »
I would like to request a SmartTrans for Deadspace 2.

Also, I am using Mist's config settings as a standard translation. It works well, but it still feels off. Just thought I would request it.

XIM 3 Discussions / Obsiv, I want to thank you ...

Obsiv,

I want to thank you and your team.

You have made my xbox 360 feel like a new console launch, you have made my old games feel new and fun again. I know Microsoft was treating the Kinect, and Sony the Move, as a new console launch. But honestly, while the kinect is fun with a party of people; it didn't make me feel like everything is brand new, only fleeting fun.

I really enjoy my Xim3. I have spent hours playing old and new games again, tweaking sensitivities, rebinding buttons to fit my play-style, not what the game designers decided for me. I am just genially enjoying my games again.

I may not be toping the leader-boards or even the score board everytime, but it has allow me to play the games I own on my own terms, and in my own way. Smart Translations really make the game work with a mouse. I am honestly blown away with how well it all works.  And its future potential. I truly enjoy my purchase, and could not go back to a controller with FPS games even if I was forced to. I think I would just not play if I was forced. The fact that you supported the Sony Nav controller so soon, shows that you are making it what is most comfortable for the gamer. It all works beautifully.

So thank you again for this product, I feel as though I am going through a console launch for Xbox 360 all over again.

I finally got my XIM 3 today and hooked everything up. It works awesome. At first when I started playing Halo Reach I noticed it was a reeeally slow turn speed and did everything right on the mouse and xim, when I remembered 3 games in, that I had not upped my In-Game sensitivity to 10. So no matter how much I read to do this, you might forget the same thing.

I mapped my G500 to one sensitivity 5700 DPI, OS Checked, Speed 5, Acceleration 0, DPI Buttons mapped to generic, Scroll left/Right mapped to Middle Mouse Click.

Used the Sony Navigation Controller, and man does it work PERFECTLY. This makes it so comfortable to game on my chair to my TV.

I patched to the latest Firmware and Smart Configs immediately after opening it.

Everything works like a Charm except for one thing, and only in one game: Middle mouse to zoom in Halo Reach.

Setup Halo Reach config and mapped all of my keys. I mapped the Zoom to my Middle Mouse button on the G500 Logitech mouse. Thats when I noticed that sometimes it doesnt register in game everytime, but on the XIM, I can plainly see it is reading the Right Stick click from my Middle Mouse Button. It takes a couple of tries, but it works eventually. Its a hit or miss. If I use the controller directly it works everytime.

I remapped the zoom from middle mouse click to scroll up and it works everytime.

I would venture to think its the mouse, but, it is definitely registering the button from the XIM display to the Right Stick Click. Its the game that is not responding to it everytime. When I mapped it to something else it works everytime.

Can anyone try this out and let me know if an isolated issue to me alone?

All this aside, this thing is amazing. It exceeded my expectations. (Also, zoom really works well as scroll up so its no loss if this is an issue, but I thought I would report it).

Edit: I have tried Middle mouse in CoD:BO and it registeres it everytime in game. It appears to only be Halo: Reach.

Can you feel the rumbling as the time approaches?

It sounds like a stampeed of internet traffic steadily building.... :-\

Has anyone here used the G9 (3200 DPI) mouse with  the XIM3? Not the G9x. I got it a year ago for 20$ on sale. I thought it was the G9X with 5600DPI but alas I was wrong. Does this work well with the XIM 3 and the G13 Keypad? Or is it better I just front the money and get the G500 or G9x now and get the higher DPI.

I guess I am asking how much smoother experience I will get with the extra DPI.

I do not have the Xim3 yet, because I keep missing the soft releases by minutes, but eventually I will get one, and I can control my other equipment now, so I will just wait till I can get the XIM3 but in the meantime get my external peripherals out of the way now.
