Recently announced by 343i in the latest community update, and all DLC map packs for Halo 3 Halo 4 and Reach will be made free... I've seen lots of mixed opinions about this, but I am very pleased with the decision made here. Mainly interested in playing Halo 4 customs again though.

Oh... and there will be a 4k update with Halo 5 on Xbox One X.

Hardware Compatibility / Logitech G310
« on: 06:31 PM - 03/19/17 »
On the Official Hardware Compatibility page this keyboard is listed under "Known NOT Working", yet I have been using the G310 with XIM4 for the past few months now without any issues. Can someone else confirm if they are able to use it with theirs as well?

I am using the latest firmware (20170103).

Hey ObsIV, have you got your hands on one yet?

Hoping to hear news on shipping date for GRIFTA classic units soon.

In the config settings, we can bind a key to (when held) make us "walk", so to speak.

Now, could we have the option to set this walk speed as default, and bind a key to make us "run" instead? Having a "hold/toggle" option would be fantastic as well toggle walk? I think there would need to be some minor adjustments to player speed in custom game mode options to make this more effective, but this isn't much of a problem.

The reason I bring this up is mainly because I'm fed up with how sprinting mechanics behave in arena shooters these days (sacrificing shooting guns for faster movement)... the biggest offender (I believe) is Halo. I can see this being an excellent feature, allowing us to switch between slow and fast movement on shooters with arena gameplay (Doom, Halo etc.) especially when using keyboard-type peripherals.

This part is particularly interesting...

Halo 3

Updated Halo 3 Forge to include editing for all game types.
Made significant improvements to Halo 3 audio, specifically in regards to weapon fire and sound effects.
Made improvements to Halo 3 multiplayer networking stability.

Made improvements to Halo 3’s controller “deadzones.”

Resolved issues that were causing Halo 3 multiplayer stats to not track correctly.
Resolved lighting and shading issues occurring on the “Sandbox” multiplayer map.
Resolved an issue where the “Begins with a Single Step” achievement did not unlock correctly.
Resolved an issue where the Golf Club object did not appear correctly in Forge.

Does this mean we will need an updated H3 translator?

A continuation from... the 2014 thread.

Don't be shy guys... post em' up!

Made a few alteration to my setup recently.

also, my Anime collection so far... :3

Seems like it's just a dream, huh.

Well, what if I told you, it's possible... would you believe me?

I bet this would be every Halo XIMers dream come true.

Hey everyone,

Not sure which section intros belongs in, so I'm just gonna post it here and hope I made the right choice.

I've joined the XIM community after purchasing a XIM3 recently which I'm very happy with (big thanks to OBsIV for inventing such a fantastic device), and decided it was best to introduce myself to you all. Name's Adam, but Pfeuff will do just fine. I've been gaming for quite a while now, both on Xbox and PC. Ever since the days of the original xbox, I've developed a passion for the Halo series and I have also enjoyed many other games, both singleplayer & multiplayer.

When I bought my first desktop computer I gained an appreciation for PC games as well, which I guess was the main reason why I decided to buy the XIM3. I've played games using both mice/keyboard and console controllers, so I can say from experience that the former is much more superior in terms of precision, though you probably all know that buy now anyway lol. Now that I have one of these, I don't have to worry about crappy controllers holding me back any more. :)

I've also grown a love for anime (and anything related), and have even started a collection of my own. I just wish I had the money to buy more though... T_T

Well I guess that about does it. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
See you on the forums.
