XIM NEXUS Discussions / Xim Nexus Dual Curve Idea
« on: 02:14 AM - 10/30/21 »
Hey, I have an Idea. Im not sure if it is implemented or not, or will be implemented, but I think it would be awesome if the controller thumbstick and gyro both have separate curves/settings you can tweak. This would be insanely helpful for the games that dont natively support different aim techniques. When I played overwatch on console with controller, I loved dual zone with 99 smoothing, but then when I swapped to cod for example I was forced to play on expo or linear. If there is a separate curve feature, you could use a "generic" config just like on the apex, and manually make the aim mechanic dual zone or whatever you want! I really think this feature is going to put this controller ahead of all other controllers if this can be done.

Game Support / Another New Xim Apex Feature Idea
« on: 08:01 AM - 08/17/21 »
Hey, I recently played some battlefield 4 with my xim and realized that the snipers have a different aim mechanic than the normal guns (Like the ST needs to be retrained on snipers). Im not sure how many other games have this issue of multiple guns having different aim mechanics, but what im thinking is training the ST on multiple guns, and then adding a dropdown box on the "ADS"/"AUX" pages to manually select what gun you would like to use. This way, you can bind m2 to your sniper config so its 1:1, and then also bind one of your mouse side buttons to your sidearm/smg config or whatever. I havent played the newer battlefields with my xim, but its probably the same in them too i would assume. I also know it would take forever to test every gun, so Im just saying test like sniper, sidearm, and primary for games ads. That way, at least you have the option to change it to whatever feels best for your gun :) I also know that you can "Change the xim ballistic curve to do this already", but a LOT of people dont understand ballistic curves and wouldnt be able to do it, and human error would make it almost complely inpossible to get it 1:1 by hand.

Just a thought, would help out a lot for sniper players!

Shared Configs / How to get better aim
« on: 05:18 PM - 07/29/21 »
Intro
Hey guys! I know a lot of people are struggling to find their sensitivity and get better aim, and they rely heavily on changing their settings to find the "Lazer" settings that dont exist. Heres some more advise from a pretty good player.
Background
I have both the xim and a gaming pc. My main game I play is overwatch, I have made it to top 500 on the xbox using the xim with all 3 roles, and have made it to high masters on native pc with tank, and high diamond with dps/support. My aim isnt the best, but I consider it to still be good!
Advise
1:1
To start this off, I highly suggest you use 1:1 setting's (that means no fancy aim assist boosting/cutting curves, no ingame setting tweaks, etc.). This will help your brain develop muscle memory a lot quicker, basically your brain will know the exact distance u have to move your mouse to hit a target on screen without having to also think about the speed you move your mouse at.
Low Sens
A lot of ximmers play on way too high of a sensitivity, and cant ever reach their full potential because of it. The extra speed gained from a high sensitivity on native pc is negated on console because on console turn caps exist. This means if you move your mouse faster than the controller can output (spin the character), then you will just continue to spin at max speed (the turn cap), so there arent really any advantages to running a high sensitivity on console unless thats really your best sens (read the next part for advise on how to find/tune your sens).
Choose the right sens
I personally used to play a very high sens, and my aim was bad. Here is how I found/adjusted to my perfect sens.... Look up the "PSA Method" on youtube and follow the videos. It will walk you through how to find your perfect sensitivity. Now, once you find it, stick with it!!!! It might be hard at first, but give it at least a few days of practice before you start tuning it. After a few days go past, you should know how you need to tweak it, whether it be increased or decreased. If your having trouble staying on target, lower it a bit, and if your having trouble keeping up with the target raise it a bit.
Stay relaxed
Now this is one of the most important tips I have and dont see it mentioned enough. MAKE SURE YOU STAY RELAXED WHILE YOU AIM! If you panic, your going to start overcorrecting and missing your shots. The lower your sens is, the easier time you will have staying relaxed because the overcorrections you make will be so small that they dont make a huge difference, but if your on a higher sens, you need to be more calm to make sure you hit the shots needed.
Consistency
Make sure your staying consistent with your setting's and sticking with them to develop the muscle memory, but also make sure your staying consistent with your setup, posture, etc. Also make sure you are playing at roughly the same sensitivity in all your games so your muscle memory isnt constantly having to adapt to each game you play!
Summary
Practice will get you better, but aim is only part of the equation for being a better player. This guide is focused on aim, but also keep in mind that positioning and gamesense is just as important/if not more important than aim :) I hope you guys have learned something from this! Its all the stuff I wish i was told when starting out on keyboard/mouse!

Shared Configs / Advise From A High Rank Player
« on: 12:19 PM - 07/22/21 »
Hey everyone! To the people who keep asking people for setting's/configs, I wanna say that the xim isnt going to get u to the highest ranks in any game alone. I feel like im pretty qualified for the topic since I play high ranked overwatch with xim and also native pc so heres my input.

Aim doesnt mean everything. Instead of thinking your settings are holding u back, work on your gamesense and positioning as this is what truely separates good players from amazing players. Aim will improve over time, but gamesense/positioning will only improve if u actively work on it. But that doesnt mean aim means nothing because it definitely helps, and your muscle memory will not develop if your constantly changing setting's so try to stick with one sensivity and one config.

And one more thing, if your looking to improve long term, id suggest keeping your configs 1:1 (that means no fancy ingame setting changes, advanced curves, etc... only exception is to my configs that are mathmatically built to be as close to 1:1 as possible still).  Not saying u cant play well or get good on custom configs/curves, just saying for the majority of players, 1:1 will prolly be best long term for improving since its a lot easier to get muscle memory down :)

Settings wont ever magically get you to high rank's alone.

Game Support / RoboArm AA Curves (Aim Assist Boosting)
« on: 04:39 PM - 07/19/21 »
Info

These curves are meant to boost the aim assist ingame, while still allowing you to keep relatively close 1:1 movements and flicks! I have different strengths, and sizes.

- The higher the version (V), the more aim assist is boosted.

- The bigger the size, the longer your aim assist is boosted before jumping in velocity.

- The "Mixed" curves are a combination of all sizes. ( XL jumps to L, jumps to M, jumps to S.... Makes the aim assist boost last longer on low mouse movements, but then gets faster so you can cut aim assist easier as you move faster)

Hey everyone! Ive been really curious recently as to how everyone aims and what their cm/360 distances are. I play a lot of pc and console, and i keep the same cm/360 on every game (just about 34cm/360, or a 450 degree spin from one side of my mouse area to the other). Personally, I use this since it allows me to use both my arm, and my wrist without over using either one of them. I used to play on 41cm 360 and strictly arm aimed and i got really good at hitting shots, but overtime it started hurting my arm, and i also used to play on around a 27cm 360 and that hurt my wrist, so for me 34cm is a good sweet spot where im still decently accurate but dont overwork my muscles.... Im curious how other people are aiming though, because when i play overwatch, everyone says 34cm is arm aim sens... then i play cs or valorant and everyone says its wrist aim on that same 34cm 360 sens lol. So what are your cm/360s, and what aim style do u use with that said cm/360? :)

Shared Configs / My New Apex Legend's Config (Xbox)
« on: 04:49 PM - 07/15/21 »
Intro

My new apex config is done! LevOphed helped fund this, so huge thanks for the donation from him (from my discord. Links in my bio). This is created on the Xbox One X, so not sure how it perfoms on pc, or new console. Ps4/5 users may also have trouble using this as the deadzones are different and stuff.

Settings

Heres how to make the config:

1) Make a generic alpha config on ur xim.

2) Open the ballistic editor, and paste the curve in.

3) Open ingame settings. Go to ALC, change deadzone to 10%, Outer threshold to 1%, and response curve to 10. Also change yaw and pitch speed (both hip and ads mode) to 500, and turn all other settings to 0% :)

Curve:

Intro

Hey everyone! After watching Od1n's yt video here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPrZOMwoOwo

I decided to try something a bit different :) I decided to follow the video, but set my polling rate to 125 instead of 250 (since this is the default controller polling rate). Im pretty sure this is theorietically the same as the xim4. This feel's amazing in my opinion, and it feels so smooth and responsive that I dont even need the aim assist anymore in most games! Ill give u guys my full setup real quick so you can try it out!

Settings

Open the xim manager, go to "global settings" and enable expert configuration. Then, set your polling rate to 125hz (Od1n suggests 250hz but i find 125hz better). After thats done, unplug ur xim and plug it back in and then restart the xim manager. Go to your games config, and change your sync type to "Off", and thats it :) Personally, I play all my games on a deathadder v2 set to 1000hz polling rate and 3200 dpi with this setup, 0 xim smoothing, 0 boost, 0% sab, and 0 steady aim. This gives me the best mouse input possible. It feels very smooth, but also doesnt feel like my movements are delayed or inaccurate. I have been using this setup on every single game I play and its really great!

10
Hey, Ive seen a lot of info thrown out about the different sync's. I get that the syncs filter set amounts of data to the xim to try and match the console, but my question is how much is it filtering exactly? For instance, I mainly played on 1000hz both on my mouse and xim, and played on default sync. Now since default sync is filtering my inputs, doesnt that mean it doesnt really matter if my xim is set to 1000hz since its only picking up a certain amount of those inputs anyways? Im pretty sure i read somewhere that default sync basically filters to 125hz or something like that. Since it does that, why not just play on off sync, with 125hz polling rate on the xim and get rid of all the extra filtering all together for lower input times (im assuming it would be lower getting rid of the extra filtering step)? Just curious, I started messing around with it after watching one of XIM Gameplay's youtube channel's videos on the "secret aim assist".

Game Support / New Xim Update Idea
« on: 11:01 PM - 06/22/21 »
Hey :) As some of you know, I create a lot of xim config's from scratch using a method ive developed. I love doing it this way because I can create my own config for any game using the values/aim type I want ingame, release updates when a new update comes out, etc... Over all the time spent, I was able to get the method VERY accurate for doing all of this manually, but there is 1 thing thats holding my configs back. The xim ballistic curve editor that i use to create these configs only has 50 data points to work with. Its definitely doable, but that means I can only make the curve accurate to every 2% increase in speed (100% / 50 xim points = 2%). I was wondering if it would be possible to create a custom beta firmware that has 100 data points instead of only 50. I realize this is super niche, but it would help out a lot of curve creators getting the "Perfect" curve(Definitely me since I really need all the accuracy i can get with making 1:1 configs). If it would take a lot of reprogramming, then I dont think its worth it, but if its a simple couple lines of code to change (which to me it seems like it would be, considering the main system is already built), then it would be greatly appreciated!

12
Intro

Hey everyone, just finished my new config! Zerock in my discord wanted a new/more consistent hybrid config so here it is real quick and easy.

This is also version 1.0 of the curve, depending on how well the config handles, I may add more data in the future (but that most likely wont happen until after the crossplay update if i decide to do it).

Setup

Make a new generic alpha config, set your xy ratio to 1.44, and copy/paste this curve into the ballistic curve editor:

>>> XIM APEX [Translate Ballistics] START COPY >>>
X5BC:hg6ISYm/iviMCI0HjfGO0o+lkHOROJH2krCTY5QTlL6VZZYClpaXIpeqmDGYtZk0mbWaOZq8m0CbxJxHnMqdTp3RnlWe2J9cn9+gY6DmoWqh7aJwovSjd6P7pH+lA6WGpgqmjacQ:X5BC
<<< XIM APEX END COPY <<<

Make sure to set your aim type to linear and set aim ease in value to 25. All other options are personal preference but here are my settings for those wondering.

My settings

3200dpi 1000hz mouse, Xim sens 56.88-68.25, default sync, 0 smoothing, 1.44 xy ratio, 0 boost, 0 steady aim.

Ingame: 100 100 sens, 100 aim assist strength, 25 aim assist window, 75 aim assist ease in, 0 aim smoothing, 25 aim ease in, Linear ramp

UPDATE 2:

I dont wanna give false hope or anything, but ive had a few people tell me that the config works well on ps4 if you mess around a bit with the ingame settings. Im not exactly sure what they use or how it feels because i dont have a ps4, but if you do get it working good on ps4, try to reply using your ps4 settings so others can see :)

Enjoy :)

Update

Added game sensitivity support to my xim sensitivity to cm 360 calculator (Used for converting your xim sensitivity between games, dpi's, and sync types):

https://api.ucalc.pro/api/308883

Intro

Hey guys, this is my updated Apex legend's config. This config feel's amazing and im sure all the xbox player's will enjoy this config :) This is my final version of my Apex Legend's config.

Xim Setup

Go to your Xim app and create a new "Generic Alpha" config. Then, copy this curve and paste it into the ballistic curve editor under the hip sensitivity:

Code: [Select]
>>> XIM APEX [Translate Ballistics] START COPY >>>
X5BC:hAeF9IeSiP+KSYt4jI+NlI6Kj3SQVJErkfmSwZOClDyU8JWglkuW8ZeUmDKYzJljmfiaiZsXm6OcLZy1nTudv55BnsGfP5+7oDWgrqEloZuiD6KCovOja6PqpGqk7aVzpfqmhKcQ:X5BC
<<< XIM APEX END COPY <<<

ADS setup

Swipe to the left on your xim config and enable the first aux. Name this "ADS". Now, set the activation key to right click, and make sure the "toggle" box is unchecked. Then, copy the ballistic curve to the ADS curve slot, and adjust the sync and sensitivity to your liking.

Ingame Setup

Go to the setting's tab, controls and scroll down to enable ALC mode. Press select and reset all the setting's to default. Now, do all of this:

Move: Deadzone 2 notches to the left from the default line
Move: Outer Threshold 1 notch to the left from the default line
Move: Response curve 3 notches to the left from the default line
Move: Yaw and Pitch speed all the way to the right from the default line
Move: Everything starting with "Turning" all the way to the left from the default line
Move: Ads yaw and pitch all the way to the right from the default line
Move: Everything starting with "Ads turning" all the way to the left from the default line

Summary

That's it. Now your mouse movements should be completely 1:1 with the game and your aim should feel really smooth. This is the best apex legends config ive ever tried and highly recommend u try it! Join my discord in my bio for more of my configs and learn how to support me (all support is appreciated since this takes me a really long time to make my configs) :) These are my personal settings for the game if anyone is wondering:

Xim sens: 52.8, default sync, 0 smoothing, 0 sab
Xim polling rate: 1000
Mouse dpi: 3200
Mouse polling rate: 1000

« on: 07:54 PM - 01/17/21 »
Hey guy's, I wanted to post a poll because I will be updating my 1:1 config soon and i want the community feedback on what needs to be better from the default ST. Vote for which area you think the apex legends default ST need's work in, and depending on what gets the most votes, i can adjust the ingame settings before I make my 1:1 config again to try n achieve the best results :)

***UPDATE***

Ive updated my config! Here is the link to my updated version:

https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=91883.0

Enjoy :)

Intro

Hey guys, got a few requests to make a apex legends config using my method. This is version 1.0 of my curve, it was made with the intention of getting better micro movements than the default ST, I may have over done it a bit though so i might create a new curve in the future to try n get a good balance between close and long range movements. If you enjoy it and want to support me or want more configs, join my discord links in my bio :)

Setup

Ingame settings: Go to the advanced controls tab and make these modifications to it: Move the deadzone slider to the left 2 notches, Move the outer threshold slider all the way to the left, Move the Response curve 10 notches to the right, Change both ads and hip pitch and yaw speed to max, move all other sliders to the left to disable extra turn speed and things like that.

Summary

This is the base config, as always u can customize it to ur liking :) If u want slower ads speeds, i suggest creating an ads aux on ur xim config and adjusting your sens that way. As i said above, i might create a new curve in the future to try n get a good balance between close and long range movements so if youd like to keep tabs on my progress join my discord. And finally, let me know how u guys like it! :)
