XIM 2 Discussions / Win7 64bit Disable Driver Signature Enforcement

I'm getting this message after booting without signature enforcement. What gives?



I'm trying to get my XIM2 to work with my Bootcamp MacBook Pro following tweak's guide in the sticky. Choosing to install "anyway" just gets me to the calibration hang issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: using the XIM360install-r051509.exe... is this the right one?

Is there anything I can do to make the XIM2 function like a normal controller without it being hooked up to a PC? (Analog sticks)

I created a publicly editable Google map to make it simple to find nearby XIM players.

The intention of this is to hopefully ensure a good connection when playing with a party.

1) log in with your Google account
2) click the above link
3) click the red EDIT button
4) placemark your city (the upside-down teardrop)
5) put your Gamertag for the Title
6) put your console and game(s) you want to play for the Description, along with any other info

General Discussion / MW3 Maps -- What's your take?

I'm so eager to see what the new DLC maps will have to offer. I've put about 53 hours into this game so far (FFA, TDM, Kill Confirmed, little bit of Dom), and here's my thoughts on the current maps:

RED = ugh   ORANGE = meh...   YELLOW = alright   GREEN = i'll definitely vote for it

  • SEATOWN- easy to see people, good lighting and contrast, shot-gunners dream  ;D
  • DOME - my favorite so far, always easy to get right back in the action
  • ARKADEN- too cluttered... just take a look at the courtyard... gives me a headache
  • BAKAARA - interesting, colors seem simliar to "Crash", I wish more of the building were accessible
  • RESISTANCE - meh... it's alright
  • DOWNTURN - haven't played it enough to even know my way around, ppl always vote against it
  • BOOTLEG - just a crappy, annoying version of CoD4's "Chinatown", sooo difficult to see people
  • CARBON - had potential, too cluttered, too many angles to keep track of
  • HARDHAT - pipe is always a fustercluck, but relatively easy to watch your back if you stick to the edges
  • LOCKDOWN - this one definitely grew on me, don't run out in the middle with the cars LOL
  • VILLAGE - I like the look and feel of this one, reminds me a bit of "Jungle", they could've done better with the village area (make the second floor of the tower accessible)
  • FALLEN - crappy version of "Overgrown"
  • OUTPOST - simply annoying, why did they think it was a good idea to put that long window in the side of the mountain?
  • INTERCHANGE - the most open map, yet still garbage for snipinig, whatever happened to maps like Afghan?!?
  • UNDERGROUND - idk... don't really like the flow of this one
  • MISSION - decent I guess, you can trap people from getting through the ravine under the bridge with an "Airdrop Trap"

What maps do you guys like, or rather, not hate? My main complaint is that it's simply too hard to see people on so many of these maps, especially if they aren't moving. Similar thoughts?

So I ran memtest86 the other day and when I came back to check on it a few hours later, this is what it looked like. I've been getting random BSODs and programs close on their own, so I suspected faulty RAM sticks... but  does this mean I have something wrong with my GPU? The test was still running... just looked all crazy.



System Specs:
Asus P7P55D-E LX (newest BIOS)
Intel i5 750
ADATA XPG 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600... which I have set at 1333
Evga GeForce GT 240 512MB DDR5
Antec Earthwatts 650, ATX12V v2.2

Just won a game of FFA on this lovely Comcast connection LOL. It felt like I had enough time to snipe three people before the first kill would actually register. What's Comcast calling themselves now... "Xfinity" or some crap? I guess their trying to escape their horrible reputation.





These results are from me being directly connected to the modem after power cycling numerous times.

I envy those with FiOS.

P.S. - anyone here still play MW2?

General Discussion / Built new computer -- strange problem

Note: I know this isn't a tech-support-ish forum, but I thought I'd put this here in hopes that some of you might be knowledgeable on this topic.

Anyways, four days ago I scrapped my piece of crap Pentium4 desktop from 2004 and put together a new Core i5 machine. Every day, so far, when I go to turn it on, I get blue screened followed by an immediate restart. This keeps happening until I turn off the power supply. After that, everything is great. I can restart, shutdown, whatever for the rest of the day no problem.

It seems I only get this problem after the computer has been "Shut down" for a good amount of time (i.e. overnight). This leads me to believe that it has something to do with a capacitor(s)... RAM maybe?

In conclusion, @#$%?
