Beta / Which third party controllers work with PS5?

I've seen posts saying that some third party or speciality controllers that are compatible with PS5. These can then be used as a temporary workaround to get Xim Apex working on PS5 games.

Please can someone link me to these controllers? I'd be happy to go this route for the time being.

This isn't another WHERE IS THE PS5 SUPPORT?!?! thread, rather just checking in to see how the process is going? Does it look achievable? Is it too early to tell? How is the process going? Just curious as to what sort of issues you are facing and how possible you feel it might be to get support up and running eventually?

I've seen certain reviewers start to receive the Series X for testing purposes. Do the Xim team get hardware early or will it be a case of waiting til public release to find out next gen compatibility?

Technical Support / [ACTIVE] Xim Apex no longer working - PS4 Pro/Logitech Hero G502

Hello all,

I've just come to play the PS4 as always and my mouse no longer works. It won't select a game from the dashboard and if I go into the Xim Apex app and try to reassign a key to that mouse button, it says 'listening' but doesn't register a button I click.

Nothing in my setup has changed at all and the mouse is powering on normally.

I've tried hard restarting the PS4, unplugging the Apex, changing the USB ports etc but nothing has fixed it. Any ideas?

Sorry, I'm sure if all info is stored on the Apex itself then this isn't possible, but is there a way to view or configure settings on the mobile app without being connected to the Apex itself? 

I'm at work at the mo and would love to tinker with some settings, or at least view settings I have already created, but I'm not sure if this is possible as when I open the app it immediately tries to connect to the Apex. Is everything held on there?

Shared Configs / Need Destiny 2 Xim Apex settings - RML's if possible

Hello folks,

I had RML's settings for Destiny 2, curves and all, but my Apex wiped and his post no longer has the curves etc. Does anyone have them on their Apex? If so could they copy and paste the full paste bin here for me? I'd be hugely grateful!

PS - I have tried contacting RML via DM and by posting on his original thread but not had a reply so I'm guessing he doesn't frequent the forum any more.

Shared Configs / For those struggling with Apex Legends, lower ADS sens & try these settings

To give you some context, I was, pretty much, a Destiny no-lifer. 4 KAD, Legend every season, Unbroken title etc. So I have solid aim, map awareness etc.

I switched to Apex Legends and my God was it frustrating. I couldn't land shots that I was sure were hitting, I felt like there was some weird AA glitch going on and I just watched as my friends got 15+ kill games and I was lucky to get 3.

I spent AGES playing, tweaking, reading posts here and trying to work out where I was going wrong. It's only in the last few days I've stumbled across settings I love as well as making a huge revelation in terms of the way this game plays.

First up my settings.

Hardware: Logitech G502 Hero, (lowered to 3200 DPI) cloth pad, Xim Apex using 5.00.20181109 Beta Firmware at 125hz polling.

In game: 7/6, Classic Response Curve, FOV 87. Look Deadzone 'None', Small for movement.

Xim Apex settings:

Sync: Common

Hip: 37.50
Y/X - 0.95
Boost: 30

ADS: 15
Y/X: 1.3
Boost: 100
Steady Aim: 6


The biggest, BIGGEST revelation I made personally, was hugely scaling down the ADS sensitivity. I was so used to an almost 1:1 hip to ADS on Destiny but just found when using that in Apex Legends I would have shots perfectly lined up, even in close range gunfights with Wingman, and they just wouldn't land. It was infuriating. However, as soon as I really reduced that ADS sense, my shots just land. I thought the gun was broken but couldn't work out why all my friends were wrecking with it.

I firmly believe this game plays much better with a thicker, sludgier ADS speed.

I really hope this helps some of you who have been feeling as frustrated as I have.

Game Support / A user on here, Pyro, gave me some great Apex Legends settings - had to share

He suggested I drop my Xim polling down to 125hz, keep my mouse at 1000 and the DPI at 3200, then set sync to Common. 

It's changed the game for me. I'm absolutely loving it!

My settings are as above, in game sens 7/6, no look deadzone, small movement deadzone, fov 80.

Hip:

Sens: 37.50
Y/X: 0.95
Boost: 30

ADS

Sens:
15
Y/X: 1.30
Boost: 100
Steady Aim: 6

These are by far the best settings I've used so far. Big thanks to him!

General Discussion / Need help with X and Y axis

Apologies for the rather basic question but I've read other posts and cant quite work out what I'm supposed to do.

Aiming left and right is nice and sharp when I'm ADS. Up and down is very slow though. I'd like to increase the speed in which I can aim up and down when ADS only. I'm pretty sure I need to amend the X/Y ratio but can anyone advise which will make it faster? Increasing it or decreasing it? Thanks and apologies!

So I just read this article about the Tac4 being released in October.

I've JUST purchased my Xim4 and a Logitech G502, and thanks to all the help I found on this forum, I have a lovely setup for Destiny and am really enjoying it.

Could this release of an officially licensed mouse and keyboard finally put an end to the debate over 'fairness' in using this control method?

Also, I'd be interested to see how this compares as the Xim4 looks far more configurable than this TAC4.

What do you guys reckon?
