Beta / Firmware update problems with windows 8.1

I finally broke down and got a new laptop with windows 8.1. Old laptop was xp and I couldn't update. Now when I go to update firmware the program just hangs. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Beta / Am I doing something wrong?

I have all the suggested equipment to get the XIM4e up and running. I am trying to use on the ps3 until the ps4 beta drops. I have successfully factory restored to a XIM4 and paired my galaxy s4 to the xim4. When I connect to the xim4 install ghost and try to configure keys and mouse buttons the manager listens but nothing registers from keyboard or mouse. Bluetooth dongle is in right port, controller in middle, and USB hub with keyboard and mouse in the left. I also tried just plugging in the mouse then the keyboard in the left port and neither would register on their own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

General Discussion / Need specific advice on n52te cherry keys and joystick mod

I have zero experience with hot glue gun, dremmel, and soldering iron. I am anxious to tackle this project but would like some advice on what specific equipment/brand to purchase to make this project a success. Keep in mind I will most likely NOT being using my new found skills that much once the project is complete so I would need to have a balance between buying the correct quality of equipment to get the job done without spending unnecessary cash on something I won't use much down the road. Any help would be much appreciated.

General Discussion / Logitech G400 problem

I bought the g400 to replace the g500 because I wanted to compare the sensors. I really like the feel of the g400 and the 1:1 feel is also closer since the sensor lacks built in acceleration. My problem is that I keep hitting the default dpi button while playing knocking my dpi down from 3600 to 800. Is there a way to deactivate that button?

With XIM3 I was able to assign keyboard key to right stick. Is that possible with the XimE? I couldn't figure it out.

XIM EDGE Discussions / Anyone Interested in starting a PSN XIME clan?

I have a XIME clan that I started on PSN a few weeks ago that is at lvl 5 on MW3 and will be at lvl 6 by the end of the weekend. I have been getting all silvers by myself with the exception of one bronze so far. If someone is good at managing clans I am willing to hand it over.

I'm looking to upgrade my keyboard to a mechanical one. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I will be using primarily for gaming on XIM edge (once it is available for purchase heh).
