Beta / Bind mouse movement to keyboard key

I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet, but it would be great if there was an option to bind a keyboard key to mouse movement.

For example: The left stick is bound to W, A, S and D and the right stick is bound to the mouse. Here i would like an option to bind keyboard keys additionally to the right stick. It would be nice to have this option under the mouse advanced options. It would help with very slow turn speeds in vehicles. At least i would prefer this option over the old turn assist feature.

Beta / ADS config always switches back to hip config

i just noticed that when i trigger the ADS activation (hold right mouse button) that it always switches back to the hip setting when i release the mouse button. This is a bit annoying because i also have a tank config for BF4 and when i use the right mouse button which changes the optical view in BF4 it changes back to the hip setting instead of the tank setting. It would be really nice if the ADS config would switch back to the last config where it was activated from. For instance when you're in the tank config and press and release the ADS activation button it should go to the ADS config and then back to the tank config.

Beta / Mouse movement somehow not working anymore

Hi, i just tested the beta with the Dead Space ST for 360. I created a config with the st and mapped the buttons and it worked fine.
And somehow i managed that the mouse movement did not work anymore. The mouse buttons and keyboard still worked. I'm not sure what i did, but after creating a new config it worked again. I only messed around with the button bindings, i didn't touch the mouse options like sensitivity or the ballistics curve. Also i noticed that sometimes when i changed buttons and saved the config it was duplicated instead of overwritten.

I just tried the new XIMEdgeManager with Windows 8.1 and it worked the first time i hooked it up to my PC. After configuring my BF4 profile i noticed a mistake in my config and hooked it up again. But now the Manager hangs every time i click on the connect button. Even a restart didn't help. In my Win 7 VM it still works.

Is the Windows 8.1 compatibility supposed to be fixed with this release?

I just tested the ST and noticed that the ADS Translator feels a bit off. I used the MW3 Translator before and it felt a bit smoother in ADS.

mist: maybe you could compare the MW3 with the current ADS Translator?

EDIT: I tested this in Multiplayer.

Release Candidates / Right Analog Stick Binding Option

i just wanted to ask when we can expect the right analog stick binding feature for XIM Edge? It has been quite a time on the feature request list (swap sticks). Also an option for secondary stick binding would be really nice (like the secondary button bindings for controller buttons and triggers).

I'm still using my XIM3 because there you can bind a PC-Joystick (Flightstick) to the right analog stick and the keyboard to the left. This is quite nice for flying in BF3 or for games like HAWX, etc. Currently you are forced to use a mouse if you want to use the right stick. This is something that is bothering me since the release of XIM Edge besides the missing standard translators. But in this case it should be easy to implement when it's already possible on XIM3, right?

Can this be added to the feature request list? It works perfectly fine with XIM-Edge but not with XIM3.
It would make switching devices via USB Switch alot easier between PC, XIM3 and XIM-Edge.

XIM Apps / XIM-Joystick.NET

Here is a small .NET app that allows passthrough of mouse, keyboard and joystick from your PC to your XIM.
You can select via checkboxes which devices will be passed through for those who have some devices connected directly to the XIM.

You will need DirectX and .NET-Framework 4.0 and Visual C++ 2010 runtimes.

I really miss that feature to bind your joystick to the right analog stick. It was possible with ingame config with XIM3 but somehow is missing in the XIMEdgeManager. It is really helpful to all ppl that want to fly helis and jets in BF3 for example.

 I don't see a reason why this should not be added since you can bind a joystick without problems to the left analog stick with XIMEdgeManager.

Hardware Compatibility / Logitech G510 Feedback

So, my XIM Edge came today. (FedEx is really fast with just 2 days for international shipping btw)

I'm using a Logitech G510 keyboard and it works. I had some problems with the mapping of START and SELECT not being recognized on my keyboard, but they seem to be gone after restarting my XIME and replugging the keyboard.

But the Logitech G510 still does not initialize if there is something plugged in the microphone or headphone port or in both. This is also an issue with my XIM3, maybe someday it will get fixed.

I'm pretty sure the G510 initializes as an USB keyboard with usb audio as one device when there is something in the audio ports. There is no USB-Hub functionality that gets added when connecting an audio device. It is still one device in the Device Manager in Windows.

Maybe Orbital can look into this when he has time?

XIM Apps / XIMCommander with simple joystick support

basically this is just the XIMCommander from the XIM-SDK with a few lines of code added to have simple joystick passthrough from the PC to XIM3.

X- , Y-Axis and Z-Rotation (as two buttons = left and right) aswell as 32 joystick buttons and a 8-way POV switch are supported.
The app picks the first gamecontroller it finds in windows, so make sure theres only your joystick.

Also you might need the Visual C++ 2010 runtimes to run the app.

There are a few apps included in the zip file:

XIM-Joystick passes keyboard and joystick input only to your XIM.
XIM-Joystick+Mouse passes mouse, keyboard and joystick input to your XIM.
XIM-Commander Keyboard passes only your keyboard input to your XIM.
XIM-Joystick only passes only joystick input to your XIM.

Release Candidates / Suggestion regarding XIMBridge

Hi, I'm asking if it is possible to use the keyboard on the PC via XIMBridge and the mouse directly on the XIM3? I noticed that the mouse feels laggy and sometimes isn't as responsive when it's connected to the PC using XIMBridge. XIMBridge can possibly solve some compatiblity issues with some not supported keyboards but at the moment you also have to use the mouse with XIMBridge which like I said before doesn't feel as good as when it's directly connected to XIM3. So a 'mix' with keyboard and/or joystick via XIMBridge and mouse directly on XIM3 would be really nice. Currently it seems that XIM3 ignores all other connected components when XIMCommander is running.

I hope this isn't something that needs too much effort to be implemented.
