General Discussion / Re: Looking for Apex Legends Players
« on: 05:08 PM - 05/18/22 »
I am always looking for good players to team up with.

Feel free to add me on psn: Sik-pup

Talk about an investment that took time to mature... I bought a hori pad (from Japan!) when the ps4 first released as there was some hope on release that you could use it with the xim 4 on the ps4 before official support was implemented.  Needless to say, it didn't work and that controller has been gathering dust in my drawer for 7 years.  Then I see the new beta firmware for ps5 support and wondered; "hmmm, I wonder if that old Hori pad will work?"  Lo and behold, it does!  Woo hoo.  Now I don't feel so bad about spending so much on what has been a dust-collector for the past 7 years :).  Life is good.  Thank you OBsIV!!!

Thank you!

The xbox controller made a world of difference for me.  I had nothing but problems trying to use the DS4.

First of all, thank you for making console gaming more enjoyable for me... I've had every xim since the xim2 chip mod for xbox360.  Your support here has always been amazing (you guys personally fixed the butchering my friend did on my original xim2 modification).  That being said, I have a good friend with Cerebral Palsy who is an avid gamer but only plays on the PC because of his specific setup for controls.  He thought that console gaming was not possible because of this, but I mentioned to him about the xim and that you may be able to make his dream of console gaming possible.  He currently uses a keyboard and a device called a SmartNav to play.  Is this something that would be possible?  Thank you so much.

Which Apex ST are you using on PC (xbox or ps4)?

I did a smooth version of your ADS curve.  Here you go (I'm trying it out right now)

General Discussion / Re: Do you use separate kbm for PC?
« on: 11:48 AM - 01/29/17 »

I use a Kb/V/M switch and it works great.  One click and it switches between consoles or PC.

Fortunately, my good wife has been around long enough that she and I spend our evenings doing our respective sh!t by ourselves. As soon as the kids are in bed, it's game on for me while she watches the idiot box and does whatever females do on a laptop...shopping, real estate, Fecesbook...

I'm in the same boat honestly.  I don't think she's overly impressed that her 41 year old hubby plays video games but I could be doing far worse or expensive things so she just rolls with it.

Everything Shantz said - including the age too ;)

Feedback / Re: What a product

having used a xim since the first DIY xim, I have to agree with you.  It still amazes me at the number of people I know who are PC gamers who aren't aware that you can indeed use a m/kb on consoles with the xim.  Truly remarkable what one person's vision is able to accomplish.  Much respect for OBsiv and the team be put together.  I have owned every single xim and they just get better and better.

General Discussion / Re: Is Titanfall 2 a good game?

I am in absolute love with this game.  Wish more people played.  Hate playing solo and trying to carry whole team in Amped.  Colb is right, there is a tremendous learning curve to the game and I think it's a turnoff.
