Commander / XIM commander stopping for no reason

For some reason XIM commander just randomly disables itself while I am using it. I will be playing along no problem and its in the "running" state. Then I will notice that I am no longer moving around in game and buttons aren't working. When I look over at my other screen I see that it has switched ti "Disabled". After I figure it out I press print screen and it works again. When XIM commander works it works great but this is really starting to bug me. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

XIM 2 Discussions / Any way to change entering config from Ctrl-Enter to something else?

I play using the arrow keys and right Ctrl for posture down, right shift for jump and enter for run. Sometimes while playing I hit Ctrl-Enter and it brings up the config screen getting me killed every time. I know I should probably change my play style to WASD but I can never seem to get used to it. I end up getting off the keys and pressing the wrong buttons getting me killed as well.
