XIM 4 Discussions / Re: Unable to use Xim4 on PC
« on: Today at 09:19 AM »
Welcome to the community. PC is not a supported platform, it would be useful to know if your setup works on a supported platform like Xbox One. If your setup works there you could look at updating next. The versions you've shared are outdated. You can find the latest XIM4 firmware and Manager below. Please read the instructions on the download page.

USB switching like this can cause crashes like you've described. I recommend playing without the switch for a while. I personally use a separate mouse and keyboard between PC and XIM to avoid this problem.

There are multiple causes for stability issues like Removing the controller battery and testing other data cables with the controller are good steps to start with.

Could you please share your setup so we can learn more about the issue? Please include both the brand and model.

keyboard:
extras: extended usb cables, third party usb hub, usb switch, titan or cronus device?

Got it, thanks.

Technical Support / Re: [ACTIVE] Xim Apex isn't working

No worries, it's good to hear that it's working again.

Adding this to the list now, which platform are you playing on?

This is caused by updating the controller firmware while XIM is connected. A fix was found by downgrading the controller firmware:

1) Unplug XIM
2) Open Xbox Assist from games & apps
3) Get Help (top left)
4) Console & Accessories > Controller > My controller has connection issues after the last update > Check controller firmware > Revert firmware

Once the firmware is reverted it can then be updated without XIM connected. Please know that it's been reported that some controllers are unable to downgrade. If your controller cannot downgrade it's firmware then using another controller may be needed. The controller not working now may work later if updated in a future controller update while not connected to XIM.

Any date? When it might  be done siege is unplayable on ps4

What sort of problems are you having with it? Are you using a PS5 or remote play?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this but I recommend testing your setup on a supported platform without using remote play. A cable or an attached device are common causes for instability like this.

Technical Support / Re: Apex won't sync to phone

Holding the button is only needed for programming mode, the button should just be tapped when pairing. Another step that may help is verifying that Manager has location permissions. APEX uses Bluetooth LE so this is a requirement to pair. It also helps to start fresh. Close Manager, unplug XIM, then reboot your phone before attempting to pair again.
