Welcome to the community. XIM does not suppport PC as a gaming platform but some players have been able to use XIM with their PC games by connecting a Microsoft wireless Xbox One controller or a Microsoft wired Xbox 360 controller to their XIM. Note that if you're going to use a 360 controller it must be wired, wireless+play and charge kits do not send data over the cable. Licensed third party controllers are not supported.

Factory reset using the latest firmware. If you backed up using the flash tool you can also restore that backup using the flash tool. If you backed up to config code you will need to recreate your configs then paste the config code.

Not a problem. One thing to keep in mind is that some games require a slight pause between button presses, even if you need to press both buttons. Mapping secondary buttons like this won't help in these cases.

You mentioned your setup is still the same, does this mean the active config is the same? Open Manager and check Manager's HUD to see which config is loaded and active. You should see your fortnite config active.

About they keys that change, are they mouse buttons or keyboard keys that change? If these are only mouse buttons that change your mouse may have a profile switch button that you're accidentally pressing.

Is XIM solid blue? This is required before using the flash tool.

Flash Upgrade Instructions:

1. Hold down the button on your XIM APEX
2. Plug your XIM APEX into your computer while continuing to hold the button
3. Wait for your XIM APEX's light to display blue and then release the button
4. Download and run the XIMAPEXFlash tool
5. Select Update Firmware
6. Disconnect your XIM APEX from your computer after the tool completes

Welcome to the community. One cable is for data+power and the second cable has been power only in the past. Attach the data cable to XIM and leave the second power cable unplugged. If you experience issues with the keyboard attach the keyboard's second cable to a power source that is not XIM like the console or a charger. You're welcome to stop by support too if you run into any issues.


Yes, unfortunately your XIM would need to be repaired. I don't know that your data would be there after repair, this is something you would need to request and the tech would need to approve. If you would like to request a repair please open a ticket in our store using the link below.

Welcome to the community. A good place to start is to verify the keyboard is working with a PC. If it's working on PC then the issue can be solved using one of the Corsair K troubleshoot steps below.

- If keyboard includes two cables verify you're using the data cable and not the power cable. If you're unsure try using the second cable with XIM instead.
- Try swapping the mouse and keyboard cable positions at your XIM.
- Look for a switch near where the cable is attached to the keyboard. Set the switch to bios mode.
- If the keyboard does not have this switch hold Windows Lock + F1 for 5 seconds.
- If the keyboard includes two cables attach the keyboard cable to XIM and the secondary cable to a power source that is not XIM like the console or a USB charger.
- Adding a power adapter may help. APEX supports power adapters using the spec below and can be found on amazon or ebay.

APEX supports controller chat using the slim controller type. Are you using a slim controller?

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that. Can you share what was wrong with the numberpad keys specifically so we can look out for this in the future?

Yes, there is at least 8ms of delay.

Welcome to the community. The red blinking is normal, XIM will "breathe" the color of the active config which is red by default. The other behavior sounds like you experienced a power fault. Sometimes turning the lights off isn't enough to reduce power draw unfortunately. Here are steps that can resolve a power fault. If some of the other steps do not help then ultimately the power adapter should help with power faults.

1) Connect the controller directly to the console to charge for 1-2 hours
2) Charge other battery powered peripherals direct with the console as well
3) Disable LEDs on your peripherals
4) Add additional power to your setup. APEX supports power adapters using this spec and these can be found on Amazon or Ebay: 5V 3A power adapter  ([3.5mm x 1.35mm], center-positive)
5) Use low power peripherals

The G500 is known to develop cable shorts due to wear over time. This can cause the stability issues that you have experienced. I recommend testing another mouse next.
