Hey Alan I just found this thread and I know you know your stuff about audio! What build would you recommend to hear footsteps better for fps games.. I only play cod and warzone on a ps4 soon a ps5 when I can get my hands on one!  My budget is up too $1200 for a headset,modmic, and amp/dac. I read most of your post and it made me iffy on getting the AKG Pro Audio K712 PRO now. Any insight would be amazing! Thank you!

Since you are playing on PS you can use a USB Mic and not deal with a modmic, I personally use a Blue Yeti X.  You can use optical out from the console to a number of Amps/DACs(used Schiit stacks and Creative X7). Headphone preference is a personal.

I plain and simple sucked at flying with the KBM on PC. Since the native support for flight sticks aren't working...2042 is basically in alpha. I used my flight stick(Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) with the XIM.

I used the following:
XB1 BFV ST
In Game - Default Flight Controls
Left X = Joystick Right Z
Left Y = None *since the slider won't control throttle(mapped to 11&12)
Right X = Joystick Left X
Right Y = Joystick Left Y

Movement - Left Stick
Replace W with Button 11
Replace S with Button 12
Still tweaking my config and button layouts.

Anyone have any better suggestion I would love to hear them. I may try BF4 with KBM but this seem to work pretty well.

Yes I have my same joystick running with XB1 BFV ST on my PC. You have adjust the Analog Controls under HIP.

In Game - Default Flight Controls
Left X = Joystick Right Z

I ran the X7 for years with the Xbox One with no issue using a 3 pole splitter on the controller to RCA in on the X7 and a ModMic on my Q701s. When I moved to PlayStation then PC, I killed that mess and went to a Blue Yeti Mic.

Yes it works on PC and yes you get Aim Assist. I have used it with both PS4 and XB1 Controllers with no issue.

Okay.. So I did a little test.

My Setup:
PS4/APEX(FW:20180402)/G502/Vortex Pok3r 60%

My old config:
1000hz/12k
HIP: 21.25 / Sync - Common / Smoothing 3
ADS: 17 / Sync - Common / Smoothing 3
.85 Scoped ADS in game

Copied dis123456 config from this thread:

3200 dpi
500 hrtz and polling
Common
14.25 hip
No ads profile
0.80 ads in game

At high DPI and polling rate I'm affected by the latest change a whole lot more than playing at the lower settings. Give it a go for yourself and you will see the differences. Sniping is almost back to what it was prior to the change for me.

Having audio/chat issues on Xbox One after the XIM blinks green for finalized setup. I can hear my party members but they can't hear me.
 
I have replaced the following:

• Cables for Audio
• Chat Adapter
• Controllers

I have reset the XIM to factory default then restored configs with no avail. I remove the XIM from the Xbox and plug in the controller directly the issues go away.

Is this issue new for you with this build?

Yes sir, went back to 20160121 and the issues are resolved.

I'm now having the same issue. Once the XIM is taken out of the equation the audio is fine. If the xim is booting up it works fine but the moment the XIM flashes green I instantly lose chat.

Update: Took my battery out of the controller and found the issue went away. I will test over the next few days and post the results.
