I am no expert but the authentication seems like the roadblock that we are facing. Hopefully OBsIV and J2 can figure it out. I imagine they have some kind of USB sniffer that can be used to demystify the protocol.

Hmmm interesting. When the ps4 was released, did the dualshock 4 also have some sort of encrypted authentication that was problematic for the adapter?
I haven't been following XIM since then but I have read that it took over a month to get it working. Not sure if my info is true.

Wasnít this the issue when PS4 came out as well? Thatís what I am remembering anyway lol. Itís been a while since I got on here.

Sony confirmed you can turn of haptic feedback entirely through the system settings. Good news i guess?

For using the XIM and those who need it off, I think agree it is good news. I will keep it on when I use the controller for other games though, personally.

great ... but we want to use xim apex on ps5 :)

hope a firmware asap, i will have Cold War but i will wait to play the game, need to play with xim apex

Yes I am aware, I want to use my XIM Apex on PS5 when I get one too. But you have to be patient and not rush OBsIV and his team. Relax. It will come :)

Edit: Plus, I imagine neither OBsIV nor anyone on his team has a PS5 or an Xbox Series X yet, it's gonna be a minute.

Was this test on a PS4?

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that, yes it was.

Also, the Dual Sense eventually did work on the PS4, through using an 8BitDo adapter hooked through the Magic-S Pro adapter. But the touch pad or rumble did not work.

I didn't get a PS5 preorder unfortunately, but hopefully I can find one later on.

No joy, unfortunately. I tried it (the MAGIC-S Pro) directly in the console and through all of the XIM Apex's ports, and the Dual Sense still did not work, nor did my mouse or keyboard (through the XIM). I had to try :)

I picked up the Dual Sense today at my local NEX. Iím going to test it with the Apex and a Mayfly MAGIC-S PRO tonight so Iíll report back when I can on how it works.

Yep. Let's hope it's a good translation, but given how the Uncharted games controls have traditionally been with the XIM, I'm not holding my breath.

It's worth keeping in mind that UC4 has an auto-aim Tweak that locks onto enemies. Looks like this is going to be the easiest game of the series.
Yeah you're right. It's almost like GTA V's aiming system in a way. Side note: I am also using the Last if Us PS4 translator and it's working fine.

But you won't get headshots with snap aim.  Beat the game once and then use bonus game multiplyers like bullet speed, unlimited ammo, slow motion, etc, it makes Crushing super easy.
You unlock crushing by beating it once? Does "Moderate" work?
