Beta / Re: Which LAN adapter would work with Beloader?

I’m using this one - Plugable USB Hub with Ethernet https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00M7MYFAU

The included USB cable is about a foot long and quite thick, which may or may not be annoying.

How’s the performance been when using a LAN connection? I’m plugged into the PS5 directly (original wireless setup) and it’ll disconnect once every few hours. Sometimes not at all. Debating if it’s worth doing the LAN as the disconnects can be annoying when it happens.

It looks like I spoke too soon. Although the XIM flashes purple when I move my mouse, it seems to be OK in game? I’m using the PS Remote Play app from the Google Play Store on a 2016 NVIDIA Shield. XIM Apex connected directly into the shield.

I have a Shield I can test too, but we’re moving into the range of impractical for most users.

My Fire TV 4K Max arrived. By the sound of it, it may be useful for XIM
Manager, but not Remote Play. Will test it over the weekend.

I’ll fire up my Pi too, not sure what version it is, but it has ethernet.

Honestly speaking, if you have one, it works great. I didn’t notice any lag / latency at all. I was using the PS4 controller that came with the original PS4 Pro, it’s so worn that I’m not sure which model it is. But it works! No issues with the button layout. I tried the Nacon Pro 3 and the button layout was all messed up. There’s a paid for 3rd party PS Remote Play called PSPlay and it works great. Again, the XIM is connected directly into the Shield.

I have a similar set up as someone mentioned earlier with the fire stick, except I’m using the NVIDIA Shield. XIM connected straight to the Shield. I’m able to get the dual sense controller working however when I move my mouse I get the purple flashing. I tried lowering to 250hz and that doesn’t seem to work either. The controller is working perfect but the mouse is causing the XIM APEX to flash. Any ideas?

I’m pretty new when it comes to remote play / this Beloader option. I’m currently running COD at 120hz on the PS5, does something like the Beloader still allow me to do that?

New to the XIM Apex - I was wondering if there is plans to make an alternative solution for PS5 users in order to get the XIM to work properly. Looks like I would need a 3rd party controller, which isn’t ideal since it looks like most are going for $70+ in Canada and won’t arrive any time soon. I’m good to wait if needed, but is this likely to be the only way to get it to work?
