XIM 3 Discussions / Re: PS4 with XB1 Elite Controller?

Looking to get my XB1 Elite Controller working with my PS4. Saw a couple places where people mentioned they were using a XIM3 to do this and I have my old XIM3 here so what else do I need? Thanks!.

Not sure. You can't even use a Titan device to achieve this. Not sure it's possible.

XIM3 doesn't support either of these devices. XIM4 supports this feature.

Looks like its in use in these posts.

My DSS2 won't top my Mixamp either! I've had to put an M^3 in the chain to boost the volume to desired levels. Doesn't make it a very portable setup this way. I'll have to dig out one of my old portable headphone amps. Unless I got a dud I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. Do other people with a DSS2 really have volume to spare using headphones below 100 ohms? My DSS was uncomfortably loud at full volume but not the DSS2.

Sold my DSS before my DSS2 arrived and now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I haven't had more than 30min with it so far so I can't say if it has better sound or localization but the volume will not go anywhere near as loud as my DSS. My HD558's are only 50 ohms so I'm surprised in the volume difference in the DSS & the DSS2. I used to have my DSS at approx 70% volume and with my DSS2 Iím at 100% and wanting more. Is this a known difference between the DSS & DSS2?

I have yet to scour thru pages after pages but I've got an X41 for 2 solid years! My only nitpick about it is the audible hissing sound esp prominent when idle at the dashboard. I'm thinking of replacing itn soon.

How about the Warhead 7.1 by Madcatz? It's already running on 5.8GHz!

This is the short list IMHO;
K701 K702
HD598 HD595 HD558 HD555 PC360
AD700 AD900

MixAmp Pro MixAmp 5.8

Only thing holding me back from buying a dss2 is being able to adjust voice volume without going into preferences BC everyone I play with has different volume voice and its a pita to keep adjusting via menu

That's why I have a MixAmp for online and a DSS for singleplayer. Chat volume and EQ in a DSS would be a nice al in one solution. I'm still going to get a DSS2 but it would of been nice to have everything in one.

I have to say that I'm pretty happy with my modded HD558. I really wanted to get the HD598 but I couldn't get over the fact that it looks like a big flesh colored dildo laying on your head. After burning in my HD558 I have no regrets.

There are better mechanical keyboards but the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth is pretty good and not to bad on the wallet for a gaming mechanical keyboard. You could also look at the N52te or G13 for a cheaper but gaming only option.

Shipito has declared the package lost and returned my money. I ordered a new XIM3 with the fastest shipping, no Shipito this time. Hopefully it will make it to my travel destination in time for me to use it online because this is likely my last kick at the online gaming can until September. Fingers crossed!

Gus is not doing so good since his lead sled dog died but if there's a beer in his hand there's a smile on his face.

My XIM3 was mistakenly shipped by Shipito (Shitito) on 03-Nov-2011 to Russia. After a lot of fooling around my XIM3 was finally shipped back from Russia. When I saw that it had entered the country and passed customs on 03-Jan-2012 I was feeling good because I have an unexpected trip coming up on the 24th so I'll be able to play online with the XIM3!!! I went online and ordered a Mamba 2012 to replace my R.A.T. 9, a G13 & n52te to replace my n52 and shipped it all to my travel destination. Here it is now 14-Jan-2012 and my XIM3 is officially lost in the [email protected]#$%[email protected]#$%[email protected]#$%[email protected]#$%!

I don't see how this could happen.. they take pictures of your item before you agree to allow it to ship and you can easily notify them if it isn't your item. I had a similar issue where they took pictures of the wrong item and I notified them and they re-took pictures of my item.

Sounds more like a user error, I have used shipito on several occasions and never had a single problem with them.. also doesn't xim3 ship internationally now?

"User error"...thanks for kicking a guy when he's down!
The only thing you're right about is that they sent pics of my package which was a white FedEx box with my name on it. The one I received was a smaller brown box with a Russian shipping address and a different tracking #. I guess Bubba was hungover that day and stuck my Customs Declaration on the wrong package and @#$% when wrong from there. I don't even understand how it came to my address with a Russian shipping address and a different tracking # than the one that Shipito assigned to my package? Anyway thanks again...I'll be sure to contact you for moral support if a family member dies! lol

I live in a very remote area of Canada and have satellite internet which means no online gaming. Once or twice a year I travel to civilization and get to play online which is a huge deal to me. I am gearing up for such a trip this Friday and have already spent well over 2k in airfare, accommodations, games and accessories with my plan being to hardly sleep for the 9 days that I'm online. My XIM3 package arrived today via Shipito but to my horror I got someone else s crap and my XIM3 is on it's way to Russia!!! In desperation I thought screw it I'll order another one but when I clicked on the XIM3 shop I see "Availability:Out of Stock"...nooooooo!!!

Just ordered my XIM3 today and I'm in a similar boat. I had to put a stop to my PC gaming when I realized in one year I spent over 20K building and OC'ing computers. I've been gaming since 1980 (Atari 2600) but when I got my first mouse and keyboard console gaming took a backseat. As a result I'm so glad there are products like XIM3 so I can fully enjoy my gaming.

I just went through the headphone decision ordeal and I finally decided on an Astro MixAmp with modded Sennheiser HD558's and a Labtec LVA-7330 mic. BTW the LVA-7330 are hard to get so an all in one headphone/mic solution would be a Sennheiser PC360.

Here is a link to Mad Lust Envy guide to dolby headphone gaming and some other links which you should find useful.
