Game Support / Re: Best setup for Apex Ledgends

A lot of people have reached out to me and to be honest I have done a lot of testing. I ALWAYS end up going back to my original settings that I posted on here months ago... I have tried numerous settings and configs and I always think I like them at first, but they never remain consistent.

My old settings that I have been using have won me multiple tournaments and a lot of side money that is very nice ;)

Anyways I am not going to brag about my stats, no need for that, just letting you guys know which settings/config I have been using with plenty of 20+ kill games

any questions just LMK

Here they are again... I just copied and pasted it back on here for reference

DPI 3200      1000Hz/1000hz
IN GAME- 7,7 FOV 90 (what feels comfortable) look dead zone- small (default) CURVE- Classic
SYNC- Default
XIM- HIP-37 ADS-37 ( I have kept these values the same... FEELS AMAZING)
***NEW BOOST- 60 for both HIP + ADS

This is what I am using now (102 FOV) as well and it's still solid. I haven't changed anything so I can retain that muscle memory.

Using this I was able to get a 21 kill game with 3800+ damage.

Does this mean you are building a config/curve?!

It could have just been network lagging hitting me really bad. It's all over the place with this game. One night hit detection is really solid, others I have to lead targets that are strafing by a good bit.

After the latest update aim assist no longer works. Any solutions?
I was struggling a lot last night as well. Played multiple games where I didn't even get a single kill. Tuesday night everything was fine...

I finally decided to try higher XIM sensitivity yesterday and it made a world of difference. Previously I was playing @ 3200 DPI and a HIP of 20. Long range was fine but CQB was difficult if I had to make long sweeping motions with the mouse. Changed to 30 HIP and WOW. I played with it previously but it felt hard to control but I stuck with it this time and after 1-2 games I adapted almost instantly.

I can now use longer range optics with ease. 2x on the Spitfire with level 3 mag was amazing as was the R301.

With advanced look controls, you can use the max sensitivity in the game and you dont lost the aim assist
Isn't 7/7 the same as 8/8 except 7/7 has AA?

Well I figured out why I've been doing terrible recently, from all my testing I forgot that I left my mouse on 500Hz polling when I was playing with 12k DPI. I thought the Hz alert in the XIM manager was a bug since I was sure it was set to 1000Hz. I was wrong.

I somehow was still getting 3-5 kills a game. After this and switching back to 3200DPI/1000Hz. Everything is back to normal. Also using 70 boost and only a HIP profile. 7/7 in game. 104 FOV helps the close encounter stuff.

CQB suffers a little but most my engagements are medium to long range where 3200DPI excels IMO.

The game feels so inconsistent to me. I've probably had 7-8 configs in total. Start out great then I start to have issues and go looking for a different config for testing.

Think I'm just going to stick with JE77's latest config.

The latest Apex firmware fixed this for me. Still have an issue (3 out of 4 times) where after playing starting a new game in the drop ship, my mouse doesn't work until I press ctrl which is crouch for me.

EDIT: Just realized it's been a few days over 10 years since I registered here. How time flies.

you are one of the oldest members here, i also joined around the xim2 days lol
(still have my xim2 controller modification, i was so happy when i found out my 360 controller was one of those that can be modified lol)
Ha I still have my XIM2 as well. I used it for the Halo 3 days and it was a dream come true. Remember needing a PC to run a program in the background while it was hooked up to the Xbox? lmao

Anyway these extra settings give me hope that we can dial in look mechanic even more for this game. Excited to see what people come up with.

poor mist :(

what kind of aim assist adjustments do we have now?
havent had a chance to turn on the console yet and download the patch, the patchnotes say there are adjustment options now so the question is what happened to 8/8 which previously had no aim assist
When I saw the patch notes I thought the same thing.

Curious if the new options will give us a better feeling game.

Also the new adjustment bars might be a pain as there is no value assigned to the position of the bar.

I've been using 3200 for the longest time. I'll try 12k tonight.

Ah getting annoyed. Somehow playing better on controller in this game than I do with XIM. I'm using the latest default config provided by the app. Put up the sens since it was too low that's it. All these settings still too complicated for me so I leave it all default and change in-game settings to what the XIM said to do of course that's it.

Use my settings and all your fears will be over LOL

I would 100% agree with THIS. Hated how the game felt, switched to his settings and the game felt sooooo much better. After work, Averaging 4-6 wins a night + 7-12 kills a game (not amazing but Iím content with it)
x2. Over the weekend I played a whole game solo and won with 13 kills. His setup works the best for me and I bet will work wonders for most people.

His settings are solid. I haven't even thought about changing them because they are that good.

Played my first game with all these settings (used 4 smoothing on both hip and ads). One my first game with 12 kills which I think is my highest ever. Great settings!

You shouldnt use any smoothing unless using OFF SYNC

and in terms to boost... I use none
I don't know man its working soooo well for me right now I'm almost afraid to change it. lol

Just had a 15 kill game. I've played probably 10 games tonight and won 8 of them at least.

Gotta thank you for the config. I almost lost all hope as nothing was working for me but this is amazingly good.
