why do you want xim on a pc?  its meant for console use

because I cannot play on PC fornite with a SONY NAV.
I always played PS4, but since this season, on Fortnite all platform are matched together, and I'm not going get killed over and over by people that are playing with shadows off, low graphics, 240 fps and 240hz.

So if I cannot play with my NAV controller on PS4 against PS4 players, I'm gonna play with my NAV on 240FPS as well.


now, back to the topic, what do I need to do to make it work with a PS4 controller? Is there some driver to install?

In Fortnite you have to change it from Xbox controller to PS4 controller and make sure you are using the PS4 ST on the Xim.

Not all games on PC supports PS4 controller though.

It's already set to PS4 controller, and the ST used is the PS4 one...

the xbox controller works even if the game is set to PS4 controller and I use the PS4 ST...

so is there anything particular I need to do?

I'm positive there is people on this forum that made XIM Apex work on PC with a PS4 controller, I just can't find how they did it

Hello, I tried connecting my XIM Apex to my PC and this is what I experienced.

If I connect into my APEX a Xbox 360 controller, once I plug the APEX into the PC while on Fornite,
it will right away recognize it as controller and everything works PERFECT.

But the Xbox controller is not mine, so I need to use my PS4 controller!
I tried but it doesnt work, I just unplug the XIM, remove the Xbox controller, and plug in a PS4 instead, then plug back the APEX into my PC, but now it doesnt work!

I tried 2 different PS4 controllers, with 2 different cables, doesnt help!

But if I plug the PS4 controller directly into my PC without the XIM, Fortnite does recognize the controller right away!!!

So what is the issue here? As I read on the forums multiple users are using PS4 controllers as well and not only Xbox

Why do you prefer Sync off? Any particular reason?
Then why you don’t use ADS profile and put ADS send to 100%in game as Mist suggested?
Finally, why did you need smoothing 8? I guess it s because of Sync off right?

The only positive thing I see with no ADS profile is that you won’t have slow down when building ramps

One last point, I might switch to pc from PS4 if they keep cross play, is it easy to setup? Just attach the xim to the pc like I do on the PS4? Do I need a xbox controller or a PS4 one is enough?

I use sync off because it simply feels best. I notice either a little bit of float or input lag type of feeling with other syncs and even with lesser dpis so I chose 11k (the highest my mouse goes) and off sync.

Yes, the smoothing is because of the off sync, may not be necessary but it helps smooth out the micro movements specifically during ADS mid to long range gun fights. Any range from 3-10 should work well with off sync.

I don't use an ADS config for 2 reasons. 1,  the ramp slowdown is detrimental in serious build fights and a auxillary config can cause problems with misclicking buttons and sensitivity headaches (I've tried it). 2, Boone knows the true ADS speeds of every gun and not having an ADS config avoids shower or faster than exact ADS speeds.

You would love XIM on PC. I know even the developers advise that XIM was not meant for PC but I can guarantee you it really feels great, much better than console since there is virtually no input lag.

Edit: Yes it's very easy to set up on PC. Just plug and play, works with both PS and XB controllers.

I agree now for not using the ADS profile, after spending a bit of time in creative it was obvious that the ramp slowdown is annoying, and I m not changing my stairs binding..

I tried Common sync at 16k dpi, 1k hz polling, and that felt good on hip, no floatiness..when I tried off sync it was strange, but maybe if I had put smoothing it would feel better, I will try!

For pc, I didn’t think it was easy!! So literally I just start Fortnite then Unplug
Mouse and keyboard from my pc, plug them into XIM which will be plugged into the pc? Is that it?

with new ST everything feels amazing, smooth, and with new aim assist it feels like pc its not so sticky like was on old settings.

I am using 4k DPI 500hz
HIP Sync OFF 19
ADS Sync COMMON 3.5

then jump in here for a 30-60 min adjust your sens HIP and ADS as needed, get your muscle memory and you are done.

I tried sync off on HIP, but it was strange, sometimes the aim would “stutter”, don’t know how to explain..any particular reason you are using Sync off? Common on both Hip and ADS feels better to me

Boost Ramp Time isn't included because it's not used when using the settings listed. Ramp Time is disabled with Boost set to 0% so you can have Ramp Time set to anything because it isn't used.

We had supported Builder Pro in earlier versions I believe but the community requested Combat Pro so it was changed. There would need to be a large demand to switch back.

Hey Mist! Could you answer one last thing, what Sync should we be using on HIP and ADS to get the most out of your ST?

And noob question, why does it matter if you trained with combat pro or builder pro? Can’t understand why that would be important

Mhhm New St feels very Bad if i switch to old St IT feels much better. I use the correct settings and 3200dpi 1000hz sync off anybody have same Problems??

Initial playtime with new ST (with updated in game settings) and I tend to agree. The previous ST "feels" better. New ST feels floaty. Glad I didn't delete the old ST. 

Don’t know what you taking about guys. Feels amazing. You didn’t play enough with new one, almost two weeks in old one you played of course it feels different. Give a time. My ar shots is on point. Flicks are easy you sing off sync for hip and common for ads.

You made a typo in the last sentence so I m not sure what you mean, what sync are you using for HIP and ADS? Do you use Hip translator on ADS? And finally, DPI and polling?

easy, who's looking to have the best feeling, less AA bubble and drag, closest as possible to a mouse, is gonna use the new settings, who's looking to spam L2 and abuse old AA, will keep playing with legacy

I think it feels great. Cant hit AR medium range shots but everything else is good/great. I really hope this new ST makes me a god and gets me a Victory Royale.
Geesh I only want the stupid umbrella

To be honest..if you are struggling getting a victory with the current ST, don’t expect to magically start winning when the new ST comes out..
The current ST is more than playable, and you don’t hit AR shots as much as last season because Epic changed the bloom mechanic and removed the L2 spam..

L2 spam is still there if you make sure to activate legacy settings which is what most people do im hitting my shots just fine

that clearly one is probably more effective/used/superior....but keep goin ill wait....

On controller it might be, but what does that have to do with the fact that they want to give as a 1:1 mouse feeling as good as possible? You don’t do that using settings that have acceleration if a no acceleration option is present

Yes, Fortnite and Overwatch are scheduled for tonight. The reason it didn't happen is because Overwatch changed something unexpected so some of the training had to be redone.

hey OBsIV, could I ask you what do you mean by tonight? For what Timezone? Currently in Europe is around 6PM
