XIM APEX Discussions / AIM Assist Bubble and Sensitivity?
« on: 01:42 AM - 12/09/18 »
Hey guys, just curious about a few things that I've noticed using my XIM apex, and I was wondering if anyone has tried anything to fix this and what works for anyone.

I've noticed, that generally, whenever I ADS on someone, on occasion my crosshair ends up on either the left or right side of their hit box. I usually just attribute this to bad aim.

The problem I seem to have is for the life of me, my aim correction doesn't work. It is almost as if the crosshair is just "froze" on this spot. I'm guessing that this is what you mean by aim assist "bubble"?

So my question is- does having a higher sensitivity make it easier to break the bubble? There times where I seem to have no problem and correcting my aim and firing away. But other times, it is just stuck there.

I've started to use curves, and they have helped a TON in certain games. I was just curious if anyone has used any other weird or non-standard remedies for this.

if you guys havenít tried this profile out yet HOLY MOSES

Do it! Helps sooo much with be aim assist. I went from like 1.89 to an average of 3.3 in 10 games. I dropped my sene a little but itís pretty much perfect! Ty for all the hard work!!! Youíve made me so happy!!

I've bought the Apex and it m‚les absolue wonder on WW2 and Fortnite. BUUUT Overwatch feels like crap.

Got the g502 [email protected]  and expo is jittering like mouse is drunk.

Linear is much better but a bit akward.  My sync is on common and is the best result

Anh Idea why expo is garbage for me ? Firmware uptodate

Felt bad for me too until I switch the DPI to 4000k and all HZís to 500. Much much much better. Trust in it. Any sync felt good just have to adjust sens. Make sure you got a low window like 40 or less. Aim assist can be 100 or 95ish. Youíd want a bit of smoothing try 4 if youíre still drunk lol. But itís the Hz thatís feeling bad.

I feel like I'm getting conflicting statements. I've read some that say to use polling @ 1000hz (specifically for OW? Can't remember.) But I feel like everyone in this thread is saying that is a bad idea. I'm so confused!

I have the G502 Hero after just retiring my G900. Love new 502 although I'm waiting for the Swiftpoint Z to go on sale and see what all the hype is about https://www.swiftpoint.com/store/swiftpoint-z-mouse/

If you don't need all the buttons check out the SteelSeries Rival 600

Offfffff course the second I buy there 12k DPI version, I find out there is a 16k one. Should have known that would happen. That is one part I hate about switching back, I really liked maxing my DPI out.

The Rival actually looks good. The problem is I haven't been able to "put my hands on it" to see how it would feel. I think Best Buy has one on display that I can check out this weekend maybe. I like the idea of interchangable feet or sides or whatever. One of the biggest problems I have is "pinkie drag" and that may remedy it.

I played MMOs with a Razer Naga years back and their right side lip worked perfectly. Elevated the finger just enough so it wasn't dragging it across my mouse mat.

G502 was all the hype 2 years ago.  Better mice available now.  Do yourself a favor and go on youtube and check out "Rocket Jump Ninja". He reviews mice and goes in detail about the mouse good/bad and hand size/grip style.

He also has a website with his top 40 and he also tells you suggested hand size there also

I've actually watched a few of those videos. They are really nice- except I think its @#$% when it comes to the measurements (in relation to me). I think I purchased the 502 off his recommendation. Again, great mouse- just waaaaay too small for me.

Hey everyone-

I picked up my Apex a few weeks ago and I love it. With out doing much research, I went out and snagged a Logitech G502. I more or less enjoyed the mouse- but found it was way to my small for my hands.

I did a bit of digging and thought people suggested the Deathadder for the Apex, which worked well for me as it felt a lot better in my hands. I have noticed a lot of people shitting on Razer due to tracking issues/etc.

Does anyone know of a decent/well build mouse that fits larger hands? I typically play around 10-12k DPI, so there is that.

I know Razer gets a lot of @#$% but I've always loved the way the Deathadder felt- its a shame the internals are such @#$%.

Still play Overwatch exclusively almost. Whats your rank?

Not sure what you play but I pretty much play exclusively Overwatch. I'll be picking up Black Ops soon. I was pretty disillusioned with PS4 gaming as I'm terrible with a controller but this has reginited my love (PC level control without spending a @#$% ton of money?! count me in!)

If you play OW I'd be happy to add you- curious about other peoples settings and what not- I'm obsessive like that.

Nice post- I'm going to give this a shot.

I've had my Apex for a few weeks now (also been about 10 years since I used a mouse and keyboard to play) and while I love it, I'm really having some consistency issues.

I'm going to stick with the build I made for a few more weeks to see if its just muscle memory, but I really want to try your Widow out. I've gotten much better with Widow since I started using my Apex, but I feel like the stuff I see on Youtube and the like are just insane. I wanna be insane, too ;)

The G502 is a great mouse. If you have small/medium-ish hands.

I got mine a while back and I loved it, but something always felt a bit off for me. It took me a bit to realize that the mouse is just way to small than what I was used to, and I needed to change. Unfortunately for me, the only thing I could find that I knew was compatible at the time (didn't have time to do research, frag sessions were imminent!) I had to go with the shiver... Deathadder.

If your hands are not to big then by all means, hit that g502 up. Its great.

Hi Mist,

Thank you for your reply.

I certainly appreciate that ST creation takes some time which is exactly why I was offering to pay for it. Is it definitely not possible to organise an hourly rate for this? Say $20 an hour, for example?

If not then thank you for your time in any case and I will take your advice re: experimenting with existing configurations.

Probably wasn't expecting that ;)

Hope you find what you're looking for. I'd be willing to bet some settings from some of the other COD games (released in that relative time frame, or maybe the same developer?) might work well for those.

siijunn is my PSN tag.

I primarily play Overwatch. Would love to add people who play- rotting away in Silver but I touched gold this season (thanks to my brand new Xim ;) so if anyone is interested go ahead and add me.

General Discussion / Re: Xim Apex on ebay
« on: 04:01 PM - 10/18/18 »
I wouldn't risk it.

It may be a tad more expensive but it is always worth it to just go a legit route. If they had more feedback or something it may be a different story. It looks far to "official" to be anyone trying to just sell their used or pre-owned apex. It looks/feels like someone is trying to scam.

If it was a "personal" ebay account then maybe... MAYBE. I see the auction ended. Hopefully you went the right route.

PS I ordered mine from Amazon the other day and couldn't be happier. Hopefully you get to game with an Apex soon enough.

The "lower end" Razer mice don't have on board memory- but it should save your DPI settings.

If you have a PC/Mac, download the Razer Synapse software (https://www.razer.com/downloads) (Make sure you get Synapse 2, not the beta software.

If you install that it will allow you to save/control which DPI settings are on your mouse. Not sure about your version, but my version of the Deathadder allows me to save 5 "preset" DPI settings to cycle through.
