Literally came here to see if anyone thought the same. Anyone found any settings to make it feel like it used too?

Cancel this, read the entire thread and have decided I'll return them and go for SBXG6 and GSP 600 for Xbox one X, this sounds good I take it? Also I can't seem to find any guide on how I'd set it up for the mic to work also, does it just plug into the g6 and that's it, or do I need a splitter to controller?Yes, amplification will help you to have a better sound delivery, not tinny.
Cheers guys
I received my astro A40 Gen 4s today, looked online and grabbed some good equalisers (apparently) for footsteps etc.
The prob I am having is no matter what, the game sounds tinny as hell. I only hear the odd footstep, guns are mega loud, yet I can't hear the box hums at all.
Before I was using Sennheiser game zeros just plugged into the one x controller and had no issues, it sounded ok for all, not great but no where near as bad as these Astros.
Does anyone have any good sound recommendations, both in warzone and for astro equaliser.
Cheers.
Did it happen immediately after updating the firmware using a PC? There aren't other reports like this so this may be unrelated to the upgrade. Or maybe there was corruption? If I were in your position I would try to factory reset APEX using these steps.
- Close Manager
- Restart phone
- Factory reset using latest flash tool (Do not backup/restore)
http://xim.tech/latest
- Open Manager and re pair
- Add a config but do not make adjustments
- Enable expert mode and set your preferred response rate
- Save
- Disconnect and reconnect APEX to the console then begin to set up your config
Sorry you are having issues. Do you remember what firmware version you upgraded from? Also, what firmware did you upgrade to?
