I purchased the Apex mid Xbox One Lifespan. I'm also hoping to hear from some Xim Veterans on typical layover period (if any) for adapting to next gen consoles. Personally, I'll be opting for the Xbox Series X.

Xbox / Destiny 2/ Trials
« on: 11:41 AM - 03/09/20 »
With the Trials of Osiris returning this weekend, I wanted to get a post out here for those looking for players to run cards with. My gamertag is in the signature. Just shoot me a message on there if you're interested and I'll get back to you.

I live in the Eastern portion of the U.S. and play in the evenings and Saturday morning. My first priority will be to play with clan-mates, but it's quite frequent that I'll pick up randoms.

General Discussion / New Logitech mouse: G604 light speed

This mouse will be for those who are looking for more buttons. Think revamped G602. Weight is hefty but for those who prioritize buttons this just may be the one.

Nope doesn't work!! I'm guessing you want rapid fire option?  Just buy a titan two works straight away with xim apex

Or if you have a laptop or pc nearby, dowload XIM LINK and write your own ahk scripts. It's free (minus the time learning how to wright ahk scripts).

Destiny 2 plays differently than most games so configs that work well for Fortnight, COD, Battlefield etc. may not feel so great on Destiny 2. It must also be stated that preference is an important factor to consider. What feels good to others may feel terrible to others.

With that being said there are two general preferences for Destiny 2 configs. Generically speaking, High DPI-Low Sensitivty gives you a feeling "closer" to that of PC gaming. It does so by lessening the "stickiness" of aim assist in the game. On the other hand is Low DPI-High Sensitivity, which tends to enhance the "stickiness" of aim assist and therefore moves you "further" away from PC gaming feel.

Some players cannot stand strong aim assist as they feel less accurate. In some instances there is an "aim assist bubble" that can prevent you from moving your reticle onto an enemy target. Others don't mind the "aim assist bubble" because when your reticle is on an enemy target, it takes more effort to move off of the target. Again, it comes down mostly to personal preference.

Follow this link to RML's D2 configuration if you're not already familiar with his work. It's a great starting point.

Let us know if you have any success. I was told to use traction boots 3 months ago. Now I feel like I cannot use boots with the perk lol.

General Discussion / Re: Installing a ssd in xbox one x
« on: 07:17 AM - 07/09/19 »
Hey if anybone has done this could u please tell me 1 what ssd should i get 2 is it worth soing (for pubg) 3 internal vs external . Cheers

1) I have the Samsung T5 https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-T5-Portable-SSD-MU-PA500B/dp/B073GZBT36/ref=sxin_2_ac_d_pm?keywords=samsung+ssd+t5&pd_rd_i=B073GZBT36&pd_rd_r=8f74b81e-01a5-44ab-a88a-9155b2e055c5&pd_rd_w=gwIb0&pd_rd_wg=06Mel&pf_rd_p=64aaff2e-3b89-4fee-a107-2469ecbc5733&pf_rd_r=DBGYDZBMPGJPW7BQX2TC&qid=1562677817&s=gateway. It was beyond worthwhile for games like Destiny 2 and the Division 2. I often find myself annoyed that the location loaded too quick and I didn't have time for snack or bathroom break. I can sometimes get away with switching weapons mid match in Destiny 2 because the weapon screen loads twice as fast. Heck, farming the Managerie has been much more enjoyable because I could load my chalice so quickly.

2) As mentioned above in pvp lobbies (in which the beginning of the game is defined by the slowest load time out of the group) the SSHD won't make much difference here.

3) Also second the external route. If your OCD and despise clutter you might opt the internal route, but if you don't mind the 3.5" x 4" rectangle than save yourself the time and frustration and opt for external.

General Discussion / Re: Corsair K70 LUX on Xim APEX
« on: 09:01 AM - 06/24/19 »
Hey everyone,

Im using the corsair k70 lux on the xim apex and it's working perfectly. The only problem is I can't get my keys to light up. It's fully functional but there is just no lighting. Can anyone help me out with this? I've tried everything and nothings working.

Thank you!

In my opinion, the problem is rather that you do not have sufficient power to the keyboard. XIM apex has an adapter port by which it can distribute further power. Unfortunately, I don't have the specs of the adapter you would need, but if you keep searching on here you will be able to find it.

The fact that the keyboard does not display any light should indicate that isn't able to draw enough power. Even with a device without on-board memory, default lighting patterns are typically displayed.

XIM Link / Re: Function keys to toggle scripts
« on: 06:41 AM - 06/10/19 »
Quick question. Never used/ran scripts before.

Are you able to set the F keys to make (or set?) the scripts to do different things?

Say for instance F1 as a default, F2 for when driving etc.

I'm not quite clear on what exactly you would like to do, but if I am understanding your question then the answer would be yes. I'd need more details if you wanted some help doing it.

I don't see myself ever using this device, however i'm curious as to some of the potential applications. I bet there might be some compatibility hurdles to clear though.                                                                                                                                                      https://www.amazon.com/Steelplay-Drive-Toshiba-DDRET101-Vault-Bundle/dp/B01LXR35VN/ref=pd_bxgy_63_img_2/130-4354354-3902728?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01LXR35VN&pd_rd_r=0c973ee1-885f-11e9-8b74-75f209b90584&pd_rd_w=sLE3D&pd_rd_wg=Zm7mb&pf_rd_p=a2006322-0bc0-4db9-a08e-d168c18ce6f0&pf_rd_r=56F5S044MD4DKDWWEVAJ&psc=1&refRID=56F5S044MD4DKDWWEVAJ

General Discussion / Re: Gateron Optical Silver Switch?
« on: 06:08 AM - 05/24/19 »
Is this what you’re looking for?

Potentially. The seller does not give enough information. Thanks! I checked epath earlier in the day and they only had Blue, Brown, and Red in stock.

General Discussion / Gateron Optical Silver Switch?
« on: 11:51 AM - 05/23/19 »
Anybody know of a place that you can purchase Gateron Optical Silver Switches? I have a Gateron Hot-Swap board that I would like to replace some switches on, but I cannot find them anywhere online.

They need to return to Black Ops 1 and 2 level Zombies. Every year after BO2 zombies got more and more complicated.

General Discussion / Re: NOOB HERE IN NEED OF HELP!!!!!
« on: 06:42 AM - 05/09/19 »
Hi guys I am very new to this community, I don't want to over complicate anything with any "dpi talk" or lingo I will not understand, I want to take it one step at a time lol I literally am a total noob.

What I would like help with today is Button Layout !!!

I am a long time console gamer (Xbox) I would even go as far to say I am way above average when I comes to FPS games CoD, D2, Apex etc.....however I have recently purchased a Xim Apex and would like take my gaming to the next level.

My setup:

Main game Destiny2

- Xbox one X
- Xim Apex
- Razer Tartarus V2
- SteelSeries 110

I am having a lot of trouble deciding where to map my keys too....like where should I have crouch, sprint, tactical etc.  I know its not going to feel right for a long time and will weeks for fluidity to take hold but the only buttons I have set my mind on is on the scroll wheel for sprint or is there a better way to do this?? I literally have no idea so anyone with a similar setup to me please some tips would be amazing.

First and foremost go through the YouTube tutorials. Then go here https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=56658.msg626940#msg626940.

I play D2 exculsively. It is important to know that it will take time for you to fine tune your settings. Settings are different for everyone. It will take a while for you to get used to your keybinds. You'll even have to play around with your keybinds for a while. Stick with it and you won't regret it.
