XIM APEX Discussions / Any solution to the "Input Blocked" popup on Fortnite?

It seems Fortnite is still able to detect the Apex? I keep getting "Input Blocked" errors with the image of a keyboard and mouse beside it. It's been happening for a while, but I'm just now posting about it. I'm using the latest firmware as well. It doesn't kick me out of the game or anything, but something tells me they are collecting data, in order to later push forward a ban wave. The SAB is set to 125

Razor orbweaver here and I exclusively use the thumbstick for movement and they do detect it. If this helps at all.

As expected, Orbweaver's still have limited directional movement

Fortnite is detecting the Xim Apex, and the Xim 4. I always knew it was possible to detect the xim through the movement inputs.....on a controller you have full 360 directional movement, but once you introduce a keyboard into the mix, you are limited to 4 directional movement, Nav users seem to be the only one's not being detected, which makes sense.

same here, will have to further look into it if the console reset doesnt work out

it happens to me around 1-2 minutes into the game, same for you guys?
feels like its always the same time, might measure it on the next try

Tested with my setup and everything (Nav player)

and haven't gotten a kick? Maybe keyboards being the issue?

As of now it seems the only people that aren't being detected are Nav users. It's definitely the keyboard that is giving it away.

Yes I've got the updated ST p4.3, Not sure if its the translator or the game, it literally makes me not want to play the game anymore and its the only game I play... I hear some people love it, mind sharing your config?

First of all, pardon my impatience, as you guy's already know fortnite's aim mechanics were changed in the last patch, I was wondering how long it would take to retrain the translator.

Looks like im going to have to learn to play without aim assist with native mouse and keyboard for a while to at least play with my mates.

The aiming feels bloody terrible and weird, i really hope they revert it.

It's the xim smart translator, they haven't updated/created a new one for the aim change

The new update changed the aim


"Fixed Issues while aiming diagonally when using a controller"
 - "The stick input was not correctly translating into camera rotation causing the camera to never reach its maximum turn rate when aiming diagonally."
- "Camera input curves have also been slightly tuned to account for the change in diagonal aiming speeds"


it's a bug fix, so I'd doubt they would revert it. I believe it also improves aiming on controller, but it hinders the xim.

I played on controller for over 8 years and It took me about a week or so to feel confident with M+KB. It really depends on how much you play. Aim assist is sometimes helpful (COD) and others times really annoying (Fortnite) and takes away from playing with a mouse.

But in said games like fortnite you can turn off AA?

It's not that annoying and you NEED aim assist

I'm just trying to figure out how they will detect the Apex.. and if there will be any way for us to mask it's use if they do figure some type of bs to detect the apex

One possible way is through movement, using a keyboard limits you to 8 directional movement, instead of a controllers 360.... The only way I see of truly remaining undetectable is perhaps using a sony nav (One handed controller) instead of a keyboard, However, I dont know how they will be able to detect a xim aim wise because I'm not aware of methods used for controller to mouse translation, so.. in conclusion is it possible for bluehole to detect a xim? Yes. Will they implement a detection system and ban players? Idk, im not bluehole.
