XIM 4 Discussions / Re: Tips for Cod WWII XiM?
« on: 08:21 PM - 12/13/17 »
For me the problem was with finding the right ads delay; If it was too high then ads would feel really off on weapons with quickdraw and if it was too low then it would feel like weapons without quickdraw gets me thrown off target by the aim assist. So I found the perfect middle ground for me at 125 ads delay and been beaming kids since.:)

Game Support / Re: WW2 better with BO3 settings?

Sounds like the acceleration in bo3's ST is working out for you. Personally I do really well with the vanilla ww2 ST since it's the most consistent for me. I felt acceleration on the bo3 ST helped a lot with breaking into the aim assist bubble but after playing with it long enough I made me realize why the ww2 st is so much better for me but it's all personal preference really.  :)

Had my most success using this on Every call of duty

Firmware: SA5-NPD

DPI: 3200

--------------------------------

Xim Settings: IW ST

(No Hip or ADS curve)
Hip: 25.50
Hip Boost: None
Hip Steady Aim: On

ADS: 13 (224 ads delay)
ADS Boost: None
ADS Steady Aim: On

--------------------------------
I find using a linear/1:1 curve has greatly opened up the skill ceiling for me personally as opposed to using aggressive curves with steady aim and boost; where I relied on my flicks getting caught in the aim assist and letting it do the rest for me.

I personally don't have a problem playing with the vanilla ST; the only problem I find is with the aim assist.

Firmware: SA5-NPD

DPI: 3200

--------------------------------

Xim Settings: WW2 ST

(No Hip or ADS curve)
Hip: 25.5
Hip Boost: None
Hip Steady Aim: On

ADS: 13 (224 ads delay)
ADS Boost: None
ADS Steady Aim: On

--------------------------------

I find these setting nice with NPD (but you can just set the ads delay to 125 or lower if you're not using SA5-NPD for a similar effect) making the ads transition really smooth and having no curve just makes muscle memory and sniping with no aim assist a breeze. Very consistent aim

Wow I am using a 12K DPI mouse and I have 40 hip and 20 ADS, with all max in game :o

I think there is something wrong ^^

Which firmware are you using ? Do you use any curves ?

Thanks you.

12k dpi with 20 ads?!?! That is an extremely high sens but if you can properly control it then props  ;D ;D :D

IW ST feels so much better on WW2 for some strange reason

It feels better for me as well, I hate the way movement is in this game, it feels off.
Should I try turning off AA in the game?

You'll be at a serious disadvantage if you disable either of the aim assist settings but on the plus side you won't get stuck in the aim assist mud/bubble  :P

IW ST feels so much better on WW2 for some strange reason

Could be because of the acceleration in the IW ST works well with the aim assist.

Might try this out but since I use SA5 NPD; I wonder how 320 ads delay will work out  ::)

DPI/Mouse: 4000 dpi / Logitech G900

Firmware: SA5-NPD

-----------------------------------------------------

Hip Sensitivity: 20.40

Hip Curve (If Any): None

Hip Steady Aim/Boost (If Any): Steady aim checked/0 boost

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Ads Sensitivity: 10.40

Ads Curve (If Any): None

Ads Steady Aim/Boost (If Any): Steady aim checked/0 boost

-------------------------------------------------------------

I find that using the vanilla ST in combination with NPD gives me the most consistent aim for tracking and helps with snapping on targets.

Best curve on the site imo. Thank you soo much!!! ;D ;D ;D

Beta / Re: Steady Aim [ADVANCED USERS ONLY]

So sa5 npd is only going to work if boost values are between 1-100; and even if steady aim is checked a boost value of 0 eould mean it's disabled and you're basically playing Vanilla ST?

So why is it when I switch between steady aim on to off with 0 boost (ads and hip) that I snap on target so much more with steady aim checked? Is sa5 npd really the vanilla st when the boost value is set to 0 or does it change aim behavior in some form or fashion; Is sa5 npd doing something/overriding the ads delay like the name would imply; or is this just all some placebo effect?

I mostly noticed this in cod.
My typical setup is 125 or 224 ads delay for cod. 0 For all other games
No ads or hip curve; 8200 dpi; 2000hz polling;

Game Support / Sa5 NPD Question

Ok so I heard in the xim4 steady aim thread that supposedly sa5 npd is only going to work if boost values are between 1-100; and even if steady aim is checked a boost value of 0 eould mean it's disabled and you're basically playing Vanilla ST.

So why is it when I switch between steady aim on to off with 0 boost (ads and hip) that I snap on target so much more with steady aim checked? This had been bothering me for the longest time and would help me understand how sa5 npd really works!

Used your 400 hip and 297 ads boost setting on my own setup; best decision yet. I can now properly track and jump from target to target more easily.

I have been using this curve in pretty much every fps I've played and so far I love it! Only game I really had a problem with was bo3; no matter what I try the heavy aim assist always messes up my aim :(
