Hoho it turns out the cable that came with the xim4 isn't work correctly

I tried using two other usb cables and it's working fine now

Thanks for your help =)

Ok, so I tried every USB cable I have in every hole I found... and something "interesting" happened

When I tried the cable that came with xim4 on my controller (and my controller USB on xim4) and plugged my mouse on xim4 and moved my mouse.. xim4 started flashing red as if I was turning too fast. It wasn't like this before.

Also, I can remap buttons on my app again and when I press the ps button my controller turn on

It still doesn't work since I can't play the game, but something happened

I tried it and nothing happened, but this are the results on my app:

I tried pressing the ps button to see if something would happen but no results

I have a windows 10 notebook

edit: I don't have another dualshock 4, but I have a brand new Hori fighting stick mini 4, it should work as a controller, right? I could try...

This is the result

so should I buy a new usb cable? Maybe I could try using the cable that came with the xim4 first?

Well, it's still not working

It shows "welcome back to playstation
press the PS button to use the controller'

The app shows exactly the same

if I press ps button absolutely nothing happens, the controller doesn't show any color, nothing, but if I unplug it from xim it works just fine

if I try to map buttons on xim4 app it doesn't work

I don't see this option on my ps4.

My dualshock 4 is fully charged (directly to the console), but when I press the ps button while connected to the xim4 nothing happens, before it would turn on the controller I believe but I may be mistaken

I'll try restartng my playstation now

mouse: logitech g502
keyboard: Logitech k102
I don't use anything else

This is my xim app right now:

My manager version is 4.00.20160405
Firmware version is 4.00.20170103

as I said, it was working fine, nothing weird happened, it is showing a red light (but I think it's common, right?)

It was working fine yesterday, nothing unusual happened.

It shows a red light, everything is shown as connected on the app

The only thing I suspect is that when I press the ps button on my ds4 while connected It doesn't do anything

I need help

Technical Support / [Q/A] Using my dualshock 4 on my ps3
« on: 11:26 AM - 04/25/18 »
Hello, I'd like to know if I can use my ps4 controller (dualshock 4) to play on my ps3. I know I can do it without using my xim but this particular game don't support it

So, can I use my dualshock 4 on my ps3 using xim4? Can I use it wireless or only wired? Any video guide to help me? Thanks

Anything happened to overwatch? Last season I was having 48% acc with soldier, everything was fine

I went back to overwatch this event and everything is weird, I'm having a hard time aiming, my acc went down a lot!

Anything changed? I know I haven't touched the xim4 since, so it's not here the problem

If nothing changed, is there any new curve or anything that people is using that I can try?

I bought xim4 some time ago and it took me some time to get used to it. I definitely can't play using a keyboard, the sony navi helped me a lot.

I was a low diamond high plat Lucio and D.va player, now I made it to master playing Tracer and Soldier, and I know I can improve. My acc with soldier is around 48% and Tracer 42%... before xim4 my soldier acc was 43% and tracer... lol it was bad

anyway, I use the default setting with 8 sens and 12000dpi, I know I can improve even more but I don't have the time to play daily so my climbing is slow

but I'm here to say that I'm very happy with xim4, the game is so much better with a mouse, even playing with heroes that doesn't require aim like winston. Thank you xim4 team

From the overwatch official forum:

Linear Ramp and Aim Curves
 Tim Ford Lead Engineer
I’d like to clear up some confusion about the difference between Linear and Exponential Ramp as well as announce some new options you can leverage to fine tune your aim. I’ve read a few posts that assume Exponential Ramp yields a exponentially higher turn rate than Linear when the aim stick is fully deflected. This is a reasonable assumption, since an exponential curve will yield a higher result than a linear curve for values greater than 1. However, the goal of Exponential Ramp is to map a sensitive aim stick to a restrained aim value. We achieve this goal by mapping linear input to exponential values over the range from 0 to 1. The exponential ramp values we are concerned with fall into the region of the curve boxed in the following image:
Your input is constrained from 0 to 1 where 0 is the value at the tip of the dead zone (usually about 20-25% stick deflection) and 1 is fully deflected. The dead zone is computed with the scaled radial technique explained here (http://www.third-helix.com/2013/04/12/doing-thumbstick-dead-zones-right.html). Linear Ramp uses this value to compute your aim turn rate. Exponential Ramp scales this value (roughly) by a power of 2.5. So, a Linear Ramp input of 0.25 will map to an Exponential Ramp input of 0.03125. A Linear Ramp input of 0.75 will map to an Exponential Ramp input of 0.4871. Naturally, a Linear Ramp input of 1.0 will map to an Exponential Ramp input of 1.0. Incidentally, Exponential Ramp is “roughly” a power of 2.5 because it’s actually a hand drawn curve we borrowed from our generous friends on the Call of Duty team.
Today, we give you two choices for input curve mapping, Linear and Exponential Ramp (Dual-Zone is technically linear as well). Of course, there are a whole family of possible curves between linear and our current exponential (and beyond). In an upcoming patch, we will add an option called Aim Ease In. This is a slider option from 0 to 100 that corresponds to an exponent from 1 to 5 respectively. Combined with Linear Ramp, this option will allow you to select a wide range of curves to map your aim input to your taste.
Aim Ease In is compatible with Exponential Ramp and Dual Zone, although you should expect a fairly compressed aim curve if you crank this option with Exponential Ramp.

hell yes

I'm a new xim4 user and sony navi user, but I'm very happy with it

I just had a game with 81 elimin on lijang playing soldier, my acc was something around 47~49%, the match before I had 55% because there was a rein

On soldier that's what I'm using:

L1 is jump, L2 is run, X is healing... the X button is tricky, but you can press while your thumb stays on the analog stick... which is my button for melee... O is crouch but I almost never use it, if you like to crouch a lot during a fight you need to change this button

the other stuff is on my mouse

I'm used to jump with L1 because that's what I did using a controller, so it feels right for me

I just hit diamond on my dps account, I still play with a controller in my other d.va acc (also diamond), but I believe I'll climb fast with my new sony nav, I had an avg acc of 43% using a controller, now it's almost 50%

Ok, I bought it and I'm very happy, totally worth it
