Your workaround seems to work great. I've been trying this setup with STv2 and haven't noticed any sensitivity spikes. The transitions between Hip and ADS feel really smooth.


So are you sticking with default sync over off for the time being? What do you like better about default sync?

I’m confused. If someone wants the faster ADS sensitivity of ST2, can’t he just raise the XIM ADS sensitivity?

I didn’t delete ST1 but hadn’t gone back to it since the update. I finally tried both and ST2 definitely feels a bit wonky in comparison. I think I prefer ST1.

Was the ADS Multiplier raised to 2.0x in an update? I looked for a patch note to help me understand what changed, but couldn't find anything.

Guess I'm still confused as to why a new ST was released.

Nothing has changed look mechanic wise since day 1, so your apex settings shouldn’t feel different.

That said, if you’re looking for some snappier, more responsive movements, here’s a few tweaks you can try:

My current settings:
12k dpi / 1000hz polling (g502)
Common sync
200 hip boost
150 ADS boost

Question about smoothing. Did you settle on 8 because it was the minimum amount required to remove stutter? Or was it for other reasons?

I've been trying a Sync Off setup on a 3200dpi/g502/soft pad mouse setup. Micro movements were very stuttery, so I gradually raised smoothing until the stutter was gone which was around 4-5. Any reason I should try a higher smoothing value?

Im using the modern Warfare remastered one and it works good for me.

Yes. You should use the official ST if you want the best possible XIM experience.

Took over two years for the Destiny gods to bless me with a pair of boots with the Traction perk. Then Y3 updates hit, two months later, and my Traction perk disappears. Not seen the mod version of it either. I could weep!

Also, your y2 boots with traction shouldn't have disappeared. I still have mine.

Checked every item in my collections and couldn't find any boots with the Traction perk. Am I missing something?

randomly rolled gear can’t be pulled from collections, which includes all year 2 gear (which is when traction was added to D2).  The only boots in collections that have  traction are one of the hunter exotics IIRC (Orpheus Rig maybe?).

If you had boots with traction, they’d have to be stored on a character or in your vault.
If you use one of the 3rd party inventory apps like DIM or Ishtar commander, you can search for items w/ traction.

btw, I should have said randomly rolled LEGENDARY gear cannot be pulled from collections.

Year 2 exotics can be pulled from collections. As well as year 1 exotics, which were updated with year 2 perks. All the exotic armors from collections come with a static roll, though.

I just got it from Shaxx. His rank-up packages drop mods pretty often, so turn in all your tokens and hope for a drop. Probably took me like 3000+. I found a stack of 1700 in my vault the other day and finally got it to drop. So happy I can finally use Transversive Steps and Dunemarchers w/ traction.

I’m on PS4  .  Erentil is nasty right now. I use an under pressure/tap the trigger roll that melts.

Do you have a sprint config?

I have a sprint config w/ a really high look sens bound to my sprint button. When I hold it down, I can turn faster while sprinting, but I also use it to whip around faster. Kinda like having turn assist.

What sync are you using? I used slow for the longest time, but switched to common recently on the advice of the XimGameplay YouTube video: https://youtu.be/S9g1sOt4WyM

It feels snappier. Adding some boost to hip and ads profiles might help with that too.

Big mousepad helps to make those long, sweeping arm movements when needed.


Meta/sandbox stuff you might already know:
Class matters. Hunters have a movement advantage on console. Stompees are great for CQC.

Handling perks make a difference. QuickDraw and Snapshot are the biggest game changers. Threat detector and Shotgun dexterity perks aren’t bad either.

Icarus mod is a must imo.

Aim for the dick. Seriously. Aim for the belt/groin area so your pellets go toward center mass.

Aggressive & Precision Frames are the best archetypes.

Pellet spread is RNG so sometimes you’ll whiff and there’s nothing you can do about it.

And of course, just have to practice. It’s easy to lose people in CQC with the narrow FOV (especially stompee huntards). Sometimes it’s just better to run away/get to cover/reset.

One of my issues is when AA throws off tracking. sometimes it feels like my barrel gets stuck outside the “bubble” and ends up to the left or right of the target when I fire.

I'm not seeing a "remastered" option in the list of available ST's when I search for it in the companion app...

I picked the "Call og Duty 4" ST wich has the CoD 4 remastered picture. But i also saw that the ST was available for PS3/X360. But the ST worked really well for me

I used the Infinite Warfare (Infinity Ward game engine) ST in the Alpha, which I felt worked fine. However, the MW Remastered ST just feels so accurate. Maybe Raven did something to Infinity Ward's game engine for their remaster? Not sure of the reason, but it just works really well.

Seems to be some confusion (maybe it's just me), so just to be clear - did you select "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" for PS4 from the ST list?

There is no "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" in the ST list.

Also, the ST is not labeled "Call of Duty 4."  It's labeled "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" which is technically Call of Duty 4. Activision dropped the "4" in the title for the remastered version.

Think i I got it sorted out.

General Discussion / Does XIM MnK experience translate to PC?

I'm a Destiny 2 player, and with the new cross save option, I've been thinking about playing on PC.

One question I've been pondering is "will I be any good on PC?" I'm curious to get the community's thoughts - do you think the skills I've built up playing Destiny 1 & 2 on XIM4/Apex will translate to MnK on PC?

Quick background if it helps: I was mostly a PC Kid growing up and into my early 20's, and have never felt comfortable playing FPS's on controller. I bought a XIM4 in Spring 2016 for D1 and it helped my performance quite a bit.

In D2 my stats are pretty good (1.6 KD overall, hit legend once/earned Not Forgotten).

Will my skill level get worse or stay about the same?  To those who play both platforms, how do your skills translate back and forth?
