I found a @#$% Redragon one that looks the right shape and is cheap enough to try

Been a while since I used a XIM or played any games, but Iím about to buy another one and I need a new mouse. I used to use a Mionix Naos, they are sold out everywhere. Can anyone recommend a good mouse of a similar shape (pinky rest is the important part) that is xim compatible?

Received it. First aluminum pad. Compared to the 4HD it's replacing, it larger, and looks nicer. However the mouse tends to grab onto it more like a dirty cloth pad. I'm going to have to get used to it. It's not as glidey and free moving compared to the 4hd.

You have to oil it up

If you're gonna use a crappy placemat spray painted you might as well just use your desk

Would it be easier to modify the design of something already existent like the ergodox?

Qpad Heaton XL is good if you can find one

You still have a xim edge? Shameless

im 6'6 with big hands, the mionix 5000 was the most comfortable mouse ive ever used and it has slots for all your fingers. unfortunately something happened to the cord and it stopped working. then the g502 came out and thought id try it out since everyone here was freaking out about it. mouse is nice but its smaller than the mionix, took me a while to get used to resting my palm on the desk vs the mouse. im going to stick to this mouse till it croaks then ill give the new mionix 7000 a try, roads has been saying nothing but good things about it. hope this helps.

My 5000 cord broke as well. Right around where it connects to the mouse there's a lot of stress and the wires inside break there. I took it apart and shortened it a bit and it worked again

It is the ergo dox. I love it, and the nyth compliments it nicely. So many buttons added to the thumb area. It was fun building it as well.

How do you like the ergodox for general typing? I was going to get one but read too many mixed reviews so I'm holding out for the keyboardio

On topic: I have a Qpad Heaton XL, it's big and hard, I like it

Yeah, it can be fun. The pick system is really annoying though... takes wayyyyy too long.. like 10 min per match

Santigold just PM me that you spend 10min per match ADS in one spot anyway, we shared a nice lmao

Lol, he don't get it. Still arrogant when he's wrong. He even made reference to common sense.

Your assuming they both move their hand at the same speed. There are good low sens players, if the low sens players moved their hands at the same speeds then there would be no good low sens players. The good low sens players obviously move there hands at 6x the speed to be equal to the same response time. Thus given your 6/1 ratio that you referenced.

I ain't reading 10 pages that came after this but it's correct in that dale was wrong, he's maybe trolling you again tho friend.

IMO the XIM allows 2 advantages over controllers -

1) being able to control faster move speed
-thats why I never understood low sensitivity players - your sorta giving up this advantage.

2) micro movement while aiming
-and this is why I never understood people using curves- because your killing your micro-movement with acceleration. Essentially giving up this advantage.

Because you don't lose any speed on low sensitivity , you can still hit the limit easily.

If you are on really high sensitivity you'll be exceeding the limit (black dot /red light/ whatever it is now) regularly and then you're not really playing 1:1 anyway.

High hip low ads is the best way to do it imo. High to me is like 12 @ 5k dpi tho

It takes longer to move your mouse 6 inches vs 1 inch = your loosing speed. The delay might be down to milliseconds - but most Ximmers would fight tooth and nail for a 4 ms advantage.. whether it be in a monitor, a pass through, or in the XIM itself. Why not here? Food for thought.

It doesn't matter how long it takes to move your hand any inches because either way you'll be moving at max look speed in game the whole time. the limiting factor is the game max sensitivity, not the speed at which you can move your body.
